Brooke is the one he is calling. Brucas was madly in love at high school and Peyton really messed up the whole situation but it always there their love. Now Brooke & Lucas have fallen in love once more in really different way. But they are in love. Peyton & Lucas weren't in love, Lucas liked her when he was younger and being with her it was something that he wanted to achieve nothing more. In the other hand Peyton has only fallen in love with one guy Jake, clearly. But because she had so many things going on in her life she couldn't fight for Jake so then she thought of Lucas. Now Peyton is in love with the person Lucas used to be like Haley did say, cause now she does NOT even know him, what person he is. Can you understand that all LPers there? Lucas fell in love with the amazing person that Brooke is with Angie etc. Brooke fell in love with the guy who was always there for her. Things for Peyton just sucked in L.A. so she wanted too go back to Tree Hill where she had found a little hope, nothing more. TEAM BRUCAS

So heres the deal they cant put Brooke n Lucas together that would suck mainly cause Im still rooting for Chase to come back now he was awesome with Brooke. Peyton and Lucas do belong together that has been known by everyone since the first episode. Lyndsey although awesome also did not convince any viewers that her and Lucas would end up together. I love her but not with Lucas. I wish that he would choose Peyton but the way i read into it im gonna say he did pick Brooke, hopefully im wrong.

I think both combinations; Brooke/Lucas and Peyton/Lucas are great, but I think that the essence of OTH is that Peyton and Lucas will be together in the end, (Brucas fans - I'm not saying he isn't calling Brooke), so for the cause of OTH i think and hope that they will be together in the end, not necessarily in season 6, who knows if it is the last one, but.. I don't think that Mark will give Peyton to Lucas so easy, as it is for him to call her, and have a "yes" to his proposal. Also Mark and Co. have to consider that there is a risk of loosing viewers; if they do the Lucas/Brooke they probably will loose some Leyton fans and the other way around. So I think there is a possibility of Lucas is calling Lindsey, and she says "no" and then she is out of the show. At least I hope that she will leave the show, she did a good job in season 5, but she doesn't belong in Tree Hill and she doesn't belong together with Lucas.

In my opinion the show would be ruined if Lindsey and Lucas ended up together.

This is one way i think it can happen. Can't wait to see how it really turns out.. Make os happy Mark!

OK people Lucas obviously called Brooke. Why? because Brooke is supposed to be expecting a call about her baby so the producers probably think the viewers don't expect her to recieve a call from Lucas. Plus the whole Lucas Peyton thing is so played out. Every time you think they'er finally together Peyton and/or Lucas walk away I'm sick of it. Their relationship so ended to me season 1 when Lucas left. Plus lets remember Lucas said Booke was the girl for him season 2.

i will always believe that lucas and brooke are meant to be together no matter how peyton loves lucas. i know lucas will come to realize that it is brooke who he really loves. i hope that will be on season 6.

YES! LOOK @ THE POLL! GO BRUCAS ! Honestly people draw Brucas off seeing Chad and Sophia had a history and that Brooke was waiting for a call. But hey its Mark! Who knows? TOTALLY ROOTING FOR BRUCAS! It might be hard for the both of them but hey, its their career. And they're professional. And Mark always has surprises. And oh come on, I will not condemn the Leyton fans but Brucas undeniably has the most chemistry! Their history in the show is totally mind blowing! And do you notice how they look at each other? Its just so.. real. Even after Chad and Sophia split up.
I just think that there is a little too much Peyton-Lucas drama going on and in some way too predictable. I don't mind Lindsey too! She's great. All of them are.
But, I think its Brucas and I definitely hope so too.

I LOVED the comet River Court drawing.

I do not understand though why go through the trouble of have it be The Cure's - Love Song off the album Disintegration which is obviously where Peyton's love for music begins as she told Ellie, which ultimately from the very beginning bonds her also to Lucas in their shared love for music and then totally miss the opportunity to have the camera pan out full shot of the River Court and the beautiful message it contains as well as the Comet drawing. Only explanation I can come up with is Mark has said this in the past that he likes to use the lyrics in the song as the voice of the character in a scene that they perhaps can't actually articulate themselves.....It felt alot like Peyton's response to Lucas about his take on the comet in his book. It felt alot like, 'I know this is how you feel about me....I feel this way too.' Plus, seeing Lucas immersed in this sea of "Love Song" lyrics pun intended of course where you have words that speak of the truest form of unconditional and eternal love, just the shot of him standing right above the word "YOU"....you can't help it think that's pretty much all anyone really needs to get the point across that what they have is huge, it's intense and it can not and will not be contained. The love they have for each other is bigger than they are.

Finally, this is a win for Peyton where we can compare her first River Court drawing of the flaming heart to this one and say that she is now brave, willing to lay it all on the line and stronger as a character for it. She can now express literally what she wants and what she means. She can finally take the words of this song and say to the man she loves, this is how you make me feel, this is how I'll always feel about you. Yes it's about Lucas, but it's also about a young woman finding resolve in herself to express how she feels no matter the outcome. And that is very empowering to see.

Now last season I was so a Lucas/Brooke fan until the very end. Every since I have been Peyton/Lucas. This whole season I waited for them to get back to their fairytale love and it never happened. Lets all hope next season it was Peyton he called! Ugh! The suspense is killin me. I dunno if I can wait until September. There has to be some kinda sneak peek doesnt there? I hope Lindsay is outta the pic. She never belonged in Tree Hill!!

I don't know about you guys, but I really can't see Peyton's face when Lucas is telling her that is was just a dream, it broke my heart. She was really really sad... and I'm a Brooke-Lucas fan. Now I don't know with who Lucas should stay: Peyton or Brooke.

But what I really like was the intro with Jaime and Gavin, specially when I was one of the fans who really misses the intro song.

I still think its peyton. Lindsay is done and it can't be brooke. If it was brooke then peyton and brooke's relationship will be over. Brooke will not risk that again. Besides lucas annoys me now. He was cute the first few seasons but now its like uhh how annoying can you be. I think brooke is the only reason why I still watch show. Also they should bring rachel back. I love that H head.

Here's my thoughts:

First I'll start with Dan getting hit by the car cause as I was reading other comments, I realized no one really got the significance of this moment. Some people commented on how he always almost dies at the end of a season finale but there's something different about this time. This time he's actually starting to be kind of good. Yes, he killed Keith. Yes, he's still dangerous. But, I truly believe that he loves Jaime and wants to be a part of his sons lives. I think he learned his lesson and will obviously continue to learn. So, if you notice all the other times, you could hate him with every fiber of your being and not care if he dies. That's why he never did. This season had me on the fence about him because I could see that he was trying and that he was sorry. This tiny ounce of liking makes me believe that this will be the time Dan dies. Mark was waiting to kill off the character until we could have some kind of sorry feeling for him. (obviously not all but i saw a change in him).

On the subject of who Lucas called:
Although it would be great drama and shocking if it was Brooke (shocking because they were only good friends this entire season), I'm sorry Brucas fans but I really think its Peyton. Lindsey, I feel, is out of the question. Peyton, however, fits in every way. As a fan, I never preferred one couple combination over another, but I always felt that the main purpose and storyline of the show was to follow the journey that Lucas and Peyton took to finally end up together. It would kind of be wrong for him to end up with anyone else. They are both the brooding artist type. Peyton is the only person that 100% understands Lucas and Lucas is the only person that 100% understands Peyton.

On the person that knows Ellie:
It could very well be her biological father....but I have this weird nagging feeling that its Jake saying that he "knew" Ellie to some how get back in touch with Peyton. He was a musician so her seeing him on tour is not THAT far fetched.

I think Brooke should wind up with Doctor Man because I think they would go well together.

I thought Skillz/Deb was hilarious.

I absulutely love lucas and peyton and if it isnt them geting married then i think the show will suffer cause those two have been crazy about each other since season one and they finaly got there chance to be together and they got ripped apart i jus don think that it is fair, before is was lucas that wanted to show his love and peyton now is trying to and he whont give her the time of day she suffered so much through there high school years she diserves to get what she wants. I am nervous about who Lucas called! I hope finally this long drawn out love square is broken although it is pretty interesting! I have a feeling he called Lindsey, but it can't be cause we have watched Peyton and Lucas together since season 1 and he can't just marry someone who I feel like we just met- Lindsey!!!! The Leyton fans will be crushed!!!

Lucas and Peyton are so in love with each other, the finale made that very clear!! There is no way that Lucas will call anyone other than Peyton! They're soulemates, and they make the rest of us believe in true love!! (LP= TLA!!)

Peyton would the the most obvious choice because it has been leading up to it all season.
Lindsey is DONE. they had a big party for her on set and cheered. so its not her...at least not this season
Brooke is just too out there. ik mark loves the out there stuff. but its just not plausible. she is too close to peyton and then there is owen and the doc
and ik that it could have been anyone of the three that he called but brooke doesnt seem plausible because she was waiting on the call from the organization.

peytons could have been mia but how often does a rockstar get back to you in an hour?
and lindsey was just talking to a rep from her company so that seems more likely than anything

therefore the only reasonable conclusion is peyton

i loved the season finaleee but not so much the ending

I really want this Vegas storyline to be scrapped. I am a huge, huge Lucas and Peyton fan and have been from the get-go but still I want like a buildup on Luke's side and for him to recognize his mistakes until he's in a relationship with Peyton. If it's Brooke the show would be hitting a really ridiculous point and if it's Lindsey then I'm just gonna yawn and turn my TV off and not tune in all season simply because I'm not going to be jerked around as a fan and watch Lucas' feelings be left vague and open to interpretation.

It can't be Peyton: she would say yes and the story would be over...
It can be brooke: Lucas and her spent a lot of time together this season: they are very close, they love each other. Lucas doesn't want her to be a single mom and he saw how good they would be as a family. He doesn't know who to choose between Lindsey and Peyton, so he goes for brooke. Unfortunately, because of peyton, she can't say yes...
In my mind, Lindsey is back in NYC, so it can't be her...

first off i wanna saw that am a guy fan of oth and i have not missed one esipode of the show i have watched all 106 of them when i first began watching the show i watched because i thought wow a show about basketball something for us guys and its not something just for girls to watch and yes the show has matured into something more then basketball but i still watch to this day and i must say that this show has taken a hold of me unlike any other and for that i wanna say thanks to all the characters and writers on the show second of all if ppl are still wondering who lucas called will stop lucas called brook now i do believe that the wanna get married part is something of a joke i think he calls her cause hes heart is with her just as hers is with him if u wanna now why look no future then esipode 307 when he made the shot blinded or 313 when he gave her that speech about why he loved her or hey how about 505 when she was the one next to him when hes dreams came true remeber lucas always talked about the girl that would be next to him when it all happend. brook and lucas are the ones that keep the show going and for all those who say oo sophia and chad will sophia has said in interviews that her and chad have gotten over the issues and they have become close friends brook will be the girl who he calls and oo yea basketball is still a big factor on oth thanks tell me what u think

Jamie was adorable, and I luv that they brought Gavin to sing with him, especially since I realllly missed the opening song!

I would luv for Lucas to be calling Brooke, because they really do have the best relationship and chemistry (I know all don't agree). I really do feel that Peyton needs to find herself, apart from Lucas. I liked her in the very beginning of the show, but ever since her going for Lucas (always when he's not available or over another girl), she just gets depressive and rude. I guess it didn't help that I didn't like when she painted on the graduation memories on the rivercourt. I realy miss her with Jake, cuz I think he brought out the best in her!

Anyway, I actually luved the mohawk on Lucas, and Jamie's fauxhawk was a-dorb....and I was really grossed out by the Skills-Deb thing.

More than anything, I guess we're all dying to see how these cliffhangers turn out: can Dan really die? Which lady is Lucas calling?

I really hope Dr Ethan is calling Brooke. They had amazing chemistry- and it would be awsome if they got together & established a foundation to help sick kids.Brooke's chemistry was the best with Chase & Dr Ethan.Hope Lucas is calling Peyton- definately EPIC LOVE STORY.It is not too soon for them to get back together. I hope Peyton's half brother returns- loved that storyline

All I can say is I hope Lucas called Peyton, and doesn't take us back to a place for which there is no foundation. Come on... Lindsey was never the one, she was just a substitute, and Brook, they have a genuine frienship, but Peyton is someone his heart has always been with, even when the show started. If this isn't the case, then why is it still hard for him to see Peyton??? I just hope Mark doesn't drag this whole situation on for too long and ruin the whole thing, regardless of who ends up together. I hope it's Lucas and Peyton, and I think there are a lot of things that won't make sense if they don't end up together, but who knows.

It's great to see that Haley and Nathan are back on track. I think they have great chemistry. And Haley's song was also great.

If there's one thing I didn't like about this season, it's the off the wall and unrealistic scenarios they threw in the mix. Come on... Skills and Nathan's mom??? Totally unnecessary! I think it kind of ruins the show.

Hope Mark brings it all together next season and doesn't disappoint us. I just hope everthing makes sense in the end.

I just wanted to clarify some things. YOU and SOME think Leyton is endgame. OTHERS and I think Brucas is endgame. And OTHERS totally disagree with both parties.

And I know that LP fans (and some BL fans) say that we should just give up on BL because of Chad and Sophia, so I will say this, like I have a million times now. Here is a quote from Soccer7SG in the Life is Short podcast comments.

"Brucas was together all of season 3, and the beginning of that season was the exact year Chophia split up! And Sophia used to say in interviews that they were "professional" together.

Now, 3 year later, Sophia says they are "friends, just like everyone else on set," not "professional." And now, you say that it's weird! If anything, it's probably a little more comfortable now.

I have seen pictures and videos and heard stories from extras that they look like best friends on set.

I think it's just an excuse that some Leyton fans are using to justify the reason Brucas can't be together. They would "feel bad for the actors" if Brucas got back together, therefore, Leyton should be together."

Chad and Sophia are totally normal now. I have seen so many pictures of them laughing and hitting each other and joking. And if Mark had them kiss in 5x05, what's to keep him from doing it again? It's Mark's show. And Mark said in a bunch of interviews this season "Brucas fans... don't lose hope. Just because Leyton was together in the start and things seem to be going their way, it doesn't mean that's how they will ultimately end. And neither Chad nor Sophia have ever said NO to a storyline. And I do not write based on that anyway."

Actually Lindsey was expecting a phone call from that secretary lady she was on the phone with right before she got the dedication from Lucas. They were trying to set up a conference call about Lucas' book.

I don't understand how anyone can think the LP scene was closure. Lucas was admitting how hard it was for him to deal with Peyton's return. Lucas fears the feelings that he has for Peyton. This whole episode was about facing fears. That's why I really want to believe he's calling Peyton and finally facing his fear.

Let me just say that Jamie singing with Gavin DeGraw was the cutest thing EVER. :)

I have reasons why he called each girl, and reason why he didn’t. I am still not sure.

why he picked:
-Brooke: because they brought Brucas back. This season has been very big on the Brucas. Plus it would make drama, and we all know that mark LOVES drama. Plus to me she is the most unlikely one. This season has been all about the Lucas/Peyton/Lindsey love triangle and so when you think about who Lucas is in love with you don’t think of Brooke right off the bat.
-Peyton: because weather we like it or not Leyton is endgame, and it seemed like Lucas was finally opening up to peyton, and he seemed really moved by the rivercourt.
-Lindsey: because she left him that message, and Lucas has been pinning for her ALL season. Plus to me she is the one most unlikely to get a different person calling. Brooke was already waiting for a phone call and Peyton told mia to call her if she say the person who knew Ellie, Lindsey didn’t TELL anyone to call her.

why he didn’t pick:
-Brooke:because of Sophia and Chad, it is already shitty of mark to lead Brucas fans on, but to make Sophia work with Chad MORE than she is already is even shittier. Plus Lucas never once brought Brooke up as more than a friend this season.
-Peyton:becuase even though he is opening up to her, it could be because he IS over her. (or at least over her enough to move on) Plus she is the one (to me) that Lucas is most likely to call. Mark doesn’t like to be TOO predictable, it’s less drama. LOL
-Lindsey:because Lucas seems to finally be over her, and I don’t think she is on next season. Or at least not long enough to resolve them getting married(because they probably would if it IS her, or at least get back together)

Who else could have called them:
-Brooke: the adoption agency of course
-Peyton: I think it is either her biological father(I was talking to my friend today and we totally were thinking about it being biological father, cause in the episode description, for this episode, it said something like Peyton hears from an unlikely person or something like that.) or mia, but it also could be someone even more unpredictable who knows Ellie.
-Lindsey: No one specific except the person she was talk to before, but she is an editor so it could be anyone ;)

I also liked how Mouth quit I was so proud, and I LOVED Jamie, Millicent, Nathan, and Haley this episode.

Deb and Skillz is still disgusting.

Phone call must be either Brook or Peyton. Hope its Peyton... But this could be rather interesting if she says no to him (to go to Vegas, not sure about the marrying) cos there's no way they gonna bring Leyton back together for good that easy eh? It's gonna take a while for them to clear the air.

I really want it to be Brooke who Lucas calls. It's the only sane choice. I mean, even if he cleared things up with Peyton their talked looked like closure to me. It was by far the most closure any couple has got in this show. Because the supposed closure that BL got in 4x08 meant nothing to me, it didn't even looked like closure. I don't want to get my hopes up though because with Mark you never know.

I don't think it's Lindsey either even though I'd prefer her than Peyton and even Brooke, don't get me wrong I'm a huge BL fan..but then BL would rush into things and I don't want that. But after everything that LL went through I honestly think it is over for them...for good. If it in fact is over, I'll miss Lindsey she's a good charcter because she resembles Brooke a little and she stood up for Peyton, the one thing I always wished Brooke would have done.

About Peyton's cliffhanger I'm not excited at all. I mean with all this talk about Ellie with Mia I think the person is going to be her biogical dad, which is really boring because if it is him, it'll be the third (?) Peyton parent storyline we get. One time was already boring enough we don't need a repeat of the repeat. Even if I'm almost sure we're getting another Peyton feel sorry for me storyline, I still want it to be Jake. I'm serious if it is him, I'll open my season 4 box, that is closed since I bought it in december lol , and I'll watch 4x09 without passing throught the LP scenes...even though that first scene is priceless, the "Oh!" still makes me crack up. I'll never forget that when Brooke said that she loved Luke his reaction was "I love you too...pretty girl." but when it was Peyton he said "Oh!" lol.

By the way, this 4x09 flashback at the championship is really old, don't you think?! I'm tired of having to see this flashback basically every two episodes.

Really, now that OR was cancelled BG has to come back, he was the only one who could make me like Peyton and make her be a good person without whinning and crying all the time.

Skills and Deb are horrible together. Even if Bevin is married to Tim she'll always belong with Skills.

Jamie is the cuttest thing on earth. I can't wait for season 6 to see his cuteness. Talking about Jamie I really think it's time for a BLJ scene. Come on, BL are their godparents and they've never spent time just the three of them together? We don't even have a picture. :(

Anyway, the finale was good not the best but good. If I had to choose it'd be in thrid place just behind seasons 2 and 3.

This is why I truly believe Lucas called PEYTON!!: I heard that this was Lindsey's last episode ever on One Tree Hill, and Lucas seems to have given up on her (FINALLY!). When she called him about his dedication, it was a goodbye between them. They miss eachother because they have been together for 2 years, but they both know they are not meant to be, especially because when Lucas got that call from Lindsey he was on the Rivercourt staring and being surrounded by Peyton's 'I will always love you'. This shows that he obviously belongs with Peyton and Lucas is seeing how epic their love is.

Although I have and will always be a Lucas & Peyton fan, I definitely see the amazing chemistry between Lucas and Brooke. But the truth of the matter is, when they said 'I love you' it was in a 'You are an amazing person who I love as a dear friend' way. She just gave up Angie and he saw how emotional she was. Lucas is not so ridiculous (although, in my opinion he has been a lot this season) that he would, out of the blue, call Brooke to get married. And even if he did, which is very unlikely, unless it's for reasons the writers will bring about later in season 6, Brooke would not do that. I know all the Brucas fans are against Leyton fans saying 'Brooke would never do that to Peyton', but realistically, it is the truth. Peyton has been a great friend to Brooke this season with the whole Angie storyline, and they have finally reconnected and gotten past all the drama of high school, so she just wouldn't all of a sudden go marry Lucas and literally betray and break Peyton's heart. Oh and when people are saying that Peyton betrayed Brooke TWICE with Lucas, are you guys suffering from delusions or something?? It happened once in season 1. Yes it was horrible and it was a mistake, but get over it, it happened sooo long ago. And what happened in season 3 and 4 was not a betrayal. Peyton told Brooke about her feelings for Lucas to be honest with her, but didn't try going after Lucas AT ALL! P only told Lucas she loved him after it was completely over for Brucas!! So I don't know how you guys can call that a betrayal?? Especially when Brooke slept with Nathan behind Peyton's back... P and Lucas didn't even sleep together, so for me, Brooke was somewhat of a hypocrite telling Peyton off for what she did.

I thought the episode was amazing and I can't wait for September 1st, to see who Lucas called. There is also the chance that the writers have mislead us in the conversation. Maybe he is calling to get married, but for unlnown reasons that do not have anything to do with love... My best guess is Peyton, and not because I am a Leyton fan, but because it seems the most realistic choice. But then again, the realistic choice is not Mark's style, now is it?

I am so happy Nathan and Haley are happier and stronger than ever!! And Jamie!!! Could you ask for a more amazing child?!?! He's just so asorable and smart! The Skills/Deb thing is weird. Although I like Millicent and Mouth, I feel like the writers could do so much more with their characters...they are getting boring (and I've always loved Mouth!) I Leyton can't be I hope Jake will come back so they can be together. And as for Brooke, either Chase, Owen, or Dr. Ethan. I'm pulling for Owen though! Their relationship was just starting to grow... it was cute and a breathe of fresh air!

I LOVE One Tree Hill and hope it gets a season 7!!

Both Peyton and Brooke are expecting a phone call, Lindsey is not so I'm afraid that Lucas has called Lindsey. But there is a but, when Lucas listen to Lindsey's call, he is at the rivercourt and he gives a look at what Peyton has written for him. And when he goes to Brooke's, it's Peyton he was looking for, their "I love you" seems more a friendly "Ti voglio bene" than "Ti Amo". Besides Lucas says "Do you want to get married TONIGHT?" as if he was saying "THIS TIME", as if he was asking to Peyton "the first time you said no and TONIGHT what do you say?". I hope so much that it's Peyton. I've been routing for Leyton since season 1! And for all those who think that Peyton is a bad friend: Didn't Brooke steal Lucas to Peyton, first?

The episode was a letdown. Not OMG-great, rather OMG-ridiculous. Out of 5 seasons, only season 3 didn't end on Dan trying to die (at least not that I remember). Seriously. We get it. The guy's immortal. Let it pass.

No Naley cliffhanger, which is a first, and which is sorely lacking. Haley the matchmakes seems so off, does the girl ever mind her own business? Peyton drawing all over the names they wrote on graduation was rather desecrating, it seriously wasn't her legacy to destroy. Self-serving much?

Lucas and his Trifecta - CMM is kind of good-looking, but not that much, and I'm so tired of every female character on the show worshipping the ground Lucas walks on. The guy mumbles, doesn't know what he wants 99% of the time, and waits too long to go for what he wants on the off chance he's figured it out. And he's not that good of a writer either. I don't care for Peyton, and she definitely doesn't deserve any better then that, but I wish Mark and Co thought of a third solid male lead when they introduced the Brucas break-up for some inane reason. Now they just don't have a choice other then to leave one of the girls stranded, cold and alone. At least in Brooke's case, it won't be also bitter and won't bother everyone with minutely reminders of how lonely she is.

No Brooke personal cliffhanger either, which is a shame, but not to the extent Peyton cliffhanger is. Let's see.. either Peyton just talks about her biological mother and all that twisted story to anyone who doesn't refuse to listen, so Mia knows who Ellie is, and the random guy knows that Mia knows so that he knows to talk to Mia about Ellie, OR there is just no logic in this storyline whatsoever. And I'm inclined to believe the latter. I don't know how you people can call this good writing keeping your faces straight. It was entertaining at best.

Oh, but how adorable is Jackson with a faux-hawk? *awwws*

I think it's Brooke , and this is why ..... i may way off here... but when they showed Lucas on the Rivercourt talking on his cell phone I dont think he was listening to Lindsey's message.... i think it was Brooke telling him that something happened with Angie and that she is now up for adoption ..... so Lucas calls her back and asks her if she wants to go get married so she has a better chance of adopting her. lol i know its just what i hope.... i'm a Brucas fan ...

OMG although...what if who-ever he called, says no! and btw it said in the previews that payton gets a call from an old friend, wasn't that gavin? or is it her dad?!! or jake?!!!!

as much as i want brooke and lucas to get married here in vegas.. i know it's kinda impossible.. my instincts tell me it's still gonna be peyton.. dey wer fyn wen dey talk nd it seems dat lucas really love peyton.. although i'm such a die hard brucas/chophia fan, always wanting to see them 2geder.. i love the finale.. it's really a shocker and one of the best.. i love watching brucas throw lines with each other.. even though it seems dat both of deyr message 2 each other is a friendly love, dey still give a great touch to d scene nd made me shout for more.. cheers to brucas..! ;p

I'm thinking it has to be Lindsey. We know that both Brooke and Peyton were expecting other calls. Lindsey was not, so showing her answering her phone would be pointless otherwise.

It's obvious to me, (A leyton fan) that it's Lindsey, and next season will begin with Brooke getting her call saying Angie's safe, Peyton getting a call from blah blah blah (right before Lucas came in she told someone to call her back if blah blah blah) (I can't talk about it because what I suspect this is pisses me off to no end) and Linsey getting a call from Lucas.

Sad, but true.

I don't know what the chance of any of the writers for the show for actually reading any of these posts, but if I am wrong Lucas and Peyton need to get back together. And as much as I like Brooke it just doesn't fit. They are out of highschool and Peyton and Brooke finally seemed to have mended their friendship and that was one of the reasons I enjoyed her character this season a lot more than I have in ones before. And Lindsey... well not to say I don't like her, but for the past 4 seasons Peyton and Lucas's relationship has grown to be something so AMAZING that I can't see them ending it with him marrying Lindsey, especially knowing Lucas and Peyton both still care about each other, but if the writers decide to shake it up a little next season than I hope Jake comes back into town, maybe get Lucas's attention back where it needs to be... on Peyton.

Loved the season finale all the way up to the end. Such a cop out!! My theory is Lindsey is in New York so it makes no sense to call her back. Brooke wouldnt do that to Peyton so that only leaves Peyton unless there is some other chick and with Lucas it could be Niki for all we know!! I hope Dan goes evil because he is so much more fun to watch!! Loved Jamie.

Okay, just read what OTH Fan said and you've got everything I've been saying to my friends and everything I've been thinking, lol. ITA with her, especially about the "Brooke wouldn't do that to Peyton" comments- those make me want to pull out my, well not my, but someone else's hair out because it's like, seriously?! So Peyton can be a horrible friend and it's ok, but Brooke can't follow her heart and get back what was hers already?!

About the phone call- P seems like the obvious choice which is why I think it wouldn't be her. Plus, Mark wouldn't risk alienating half the fans to such an extent (LP married= BL fans leaving the show) right at the beginning of the season.

I'm sure Peyton would say yes in a heartbeat if he asked but after the past season, it just wouldn't be the logical, self respecting thing to do, right? ...so she probably would...

I can see it as a misleading cliffhanger. Like there's more to that conversation than what we got and he wasn't serious. He can't be, he's soooo not ready to get married. I can totally see him and Brooke going to Vegas as friends though to get over their mutual heartache together like they've been doing for so many episodes now...

Oh My God!!! I didn't realize that he only called one of them... The ending really confused me. See i thought he called all of them, and asked them to marry him and then they would all end up having to decide what the heck would happen... by the way great podcast this week ("I don't mind if Peyton throws water ballons at Girl Scouts" ha ha funny). Jackson Brundage... oh my god the cutest thing *EVER!!!* Singing, swimming admitting to his dad, feeding chester!! Can this boy do no wrong???

I thought it was funny when Haley woke up to chester and just slightly raised her eyebrow...

The another scene where it went like...
Haley: oh, well well (laughs) what... what is all this?

Haley: I would laugh if this whole thing wasn't such a mess.

I guess i still think he called all three girls though. But only calling one makes more sense and i didn't know Lindsey was waiting for a call either...

Actually, Brooke named her company Clothes over Bro's, and the same night, she admitted that she'd been hiding her heart in fear of it breaking again... she professed her love for Lucas, and they got back together.

Why should Peyton automatically give in to Lucas. He has treated her like crap the whole season and even though she still loves him, why would she take him back right away. He still wants lindsey and he would be just settling with peyton because he knows he cant get lindsey back. I really hope lucas wasn't that stupid to call peyton. I hope it was Derick (not the pshycho one)

That LP scene was by no means closure. It was a huge break-through. Finally Lucas opened up to Peyton about how he's been feeling. He's clearly not over her. I've been waiting for LP to have a real conversation all season and it finally happened. I by no means expected for Lucas to have another moment of clarity. I saw this scene as a very significant step forward for them. They said so much with their eyes, and I love how they basically spoke in a whisper. It was beautiful.

I'm just upset that the meaning of Peyton's art was tarnished. There wasn't even a mention of where the words she painted came from. No, she did not write "I will always love you" over and over. She wrote the lyrics to Lovesong by The Cure.

The Vegas thing is crap though. I hope no one goes with him.

I love how Leyton fans say "Brooke would never do that to Peyton," and they KNOW that Peyton did it to Brooke... twice. I guess that's just admitting that Brooke is a better friend and a more selfless person.

And I also love how they claim that Lucas is in love with Peyton. He's made it quite obvious that he's in love with Lindsey. Peyton is in love with Lucas. Lucas is in love with Lindsey. How can you not get that from this season?

And everyone said Brucas would never happen... over and over... but they happened... TWICE! Why are you doubting them now?

About the Leyton scene now. I thought it was beautiful and bittersweet. But I saw it as an end to Leyton if anything. He kind of said pain always surrounded them. She said that in her dreams, she said yes, and he said "but it's just a dream." Then, she said "my dream." There was no response after that, like "mine too," but I get that. It's part of the cliffhanger.

The Brucas scenes were amazing too! I love that he came for her, even though she asked him not to. I love that he thinks she's always vulnerable, and he thinks it's beautiful. And their I Love You scene was great for Brucas fans! Brooke said it kind of friend-like, but the way Lucas said it was more romantic in my opinion.

The Lucas and Lindsey scene was heartbreaking! He wants her, but he thinks she doesn't want him. And she wants him, but thinks she loves Peyton. It's like with Brooke and Lucas in season 2 (and 3, and actually, ever season... poor Brucas).

Dan... oh boy. How many lives does he have left? As he was walking backwards, I knew he was gonna get hit. And then the beeper had to go off! I hope they don't give the heart to someone else! They better fix him in 6 hours (is that what the doc said) or Dan will be restarted in the donor line! Dan can't die! Can he?

Dude, the girl want to have family and the boy want to get married, need i say more??!! ROCK THE BRUCAS. (Just hope that 'what happen in Vegas stay in Vegas' kinda thing wont happen)

I love Lucas and Peyton. They do belong together. I hated Lindsay, if he ends up with her I will never watch that show again. Brooke and lucas have an understanding, they are just friends. Brooke named her companuy Hos over bros for a reason. She knos how much Peyton loves lucas and Brooke would never do that too her...especially with what the went thru in High School.

What an amazing finale! Unfortunately, I missed the first three minutes and am disappointed to read that I didn’t get to see Jamie and Gavin DeGraw sing the theme. Is there any chance that the episode will re-air over the summer?

Najaley (new version of Nathan, Jamie and Haley) is the cutest, most loving family on the planet. The more you see them together, the more you believe in the power of love. The way that Nathan and Haley look at each other even makes my heart race! Need I say more?

Dan being hit by a car was expected the way the scene was set up. But, the actual impact still made me scream in terror. This is the third season where Dan’s life is hanging by a moment.

Mouth took a stand and Millicent stood by his side. I hope they don’t say goodbye to Tree Hill for good. The final punch Mouth delivered to his coworkers was outstanding! Way to leave them speechless.

The network needs to master the art of promo editing – they practically gave away the ending. It’s difficult to say just who Lucas called. It was nice to see Lucas have a conversation, albeit brief, with all three women to try and put things in perspective. Time will tell where his devotion lies. Am I the only one who was thrilled to see Peyton use her artistic talents at the River Court?

On a side note, who could Mia have possibly met that has a connection with Ellie? I doubt that it’s Derek (Peyton’s half-brother) or her biological father. Could Mia be working with a band that appeared on the “Friends with Benefit” album? How great would it be for Jake to return?

My hope for season six is that all the characters continue to evolve into stronger, confident adults. More in-depth scenes of Nathan and Haley as a couple are a definite must!

Congratulations are in order for Mark and the entire writing, editing and production crew. Every emotion possible was hit right on the mark (no pun intended). To all the fantastic actors – you really deserve Emmys for delivering incredible performances week after week. Thank you for sharing your talents with the dedicated OTH fans.

i'm really glad to hear everyone loved this episode. i looked on another website and everyone was hating it. i personally loved it, i knew they were gonna end it the way they did. it def. is gonna keep me guessing until september. i realllllly want it to be peyton that he calls, but something tells me that it's brooke (unfortunately). i did hear somewhere that peyton and lucas will get back together next season, so maybe there's hope. but that could just be rumors. I LOVED the comet that peyton drew for lucas :) and i adored their scene together, it was def. necessary.

i also liked all the jamie and nathan stuff, veryyyyy cute. and i dont know if anyone's mentioned this, but how awesome was haley's song? i loved it!

Brooke. Throughout season 5, their friendship became renewed and stronger than ever. They've been through a lot in the past together, and went through even more together now, leaning on each other. They've always loved each other, but now, it seems that their feelings have finally resurfaced, and maybe actually at the same time! I really don't think it's Peyton, only because I believe after the proposal, that was it for the two of them. Peyton should end up with someone else (maybe Jake?!).

Well, I'm at a crossroad when it comes to last night's episode. I enjoyed the fact that the writers accomplished the ultimate premace for a finale. It answered some questions, resolved some issues and created new questions.

The whole who did Lucas call will of course be the debate of the summer. (Another mission accomplished by the writers).

As a fan of Brooke and Lucas, I would love for it to be Brooke on the other end of the line...but a marriage proposal is just not in the cards for them...right now (wink, nudge).

And the scene between Lucas and Peyton was very heartwarming and heartwrenching at the same time. But, I saw this as an end of their chapter. At this time, Lucas and Peyton are not right for each other. Maybe in the future or maby they're just better as friends, but right now..I don't see it.

I can see Lindsey being the one that Lucas called. This is someone that he has fought for the entire season. Even though we, as the viewers, didn't see their relationship build, theirs is the longest Lucas has ever been in. And Lucas feels that he has lost something, a part of him, when Lindsey walked away from their wedding. Him calling her after hearing her voicemail could be a sign in Lucas' eyes that he needs to take the chance and be with the person that he feels is right for him. At this time, that person is Lindsey.

The airport scene between Brooke and Lucas was just beautiful. When Brooke had to let Angie go, she totally needed someone to be there with her. And even though she told Lucas that she didn't want him to be there, he knew that she did need someone. And when the crowds part and Brooke sees Lucas..I cried. Such a powerful scene. Makes me miss them as a couple, but I am so grateful of Mark to give us these beautiful scenes this season (after the massacre of Season 4).

What a way to bring back the theme song..have Jamie singing with Gavin Degraw. That was one of the greatest scenes, in my opinion.

The only thing I can say about Nathan, Haley and Jamie Scott is...way to face those fears as family. I am so happy that the problems Nathan and Haley had at the beginning of the season have been resolved. They appear to be oh track. Can't wait to see what next season has in store for this family.

Dan..wow...cannot believe this. This is possible Dan Scott death take three. Will this one take? Karma can be a b####.

Deb and Skillz...okay...

Mouth and Millicent are perfect for one another. They are there for each other, through thick and thin.

Overall, it wasn't my favorite season finale, but it's definately in my top five (haha). Here's hoping for a continuation of the Brooke and Lucas friendship and more resolutions for these beloved characters.

How can you leave a show like that?! Brooke was waiting for a call that Angie got home safe. Peyton was waiting for a call to find out who knew her mother and Lindsey was at the airport earlier to fly home to NY so for him to call Lindsey and say im at the airport with 2 tickets and she being in NY already it wouldn't be her then. So it's either Brooke or Peyton and Peyton telling him that she has her dream everyday that she would of said yes that I think it would be her. I don't think it would be Brooke as although they did say I love you, they said as to thank each other for what they have done to help them. They didn't say it as I want a relationship with you.

i love the naley scene in this episode, when haley puts nathans hand on her heart and says u still make my heart beat fast!

I love Lindsey. I love the whole Lucas and Peyton destiny thing. But right now, if Lucas was gonna marry any of them it would be Brooke. He hasn't had a problem with Brooke this whole season. He even got a glimpse of a family with him, her and Angie. With Lindsey, she just told him she lied to him. With Peyton, it is so complicated and it was so hard for him to get over her. It would be great if it was Lindsey, romantic if it were Peyton and downright wrong if it were Millicent. Brooke seems reasonable.

OK , soo my opinion on the call, i have no idea who it is all i no is that i personally think leyton is endgame..

and im definatley not saying this becuas ei like leyton i dont care for leyton OR brucas(naley is my couple!!) but the whole show is liek thier love story since season one theve been like a couple no matter who they are with, i personally want peyton's mysterious guest to be JAKE!! i loved loved loved jeyton they were cute and it was the only reaally good relashionship she ever had so yeah , BUT my faavorite part of the episode was.... well thers two :)!! first the nhj pool scene.. OMFG cutest thing i have EVERRR scene like ever soo cute, oo and i loved the gavin and jamie thing going on there, wait so thers thre but my absolute fav. was haley singing shes sooooooo talented and sooo good i loved it, she loked soo pretty in this episode too!! :) i loved the finalie!!

Brucas was awesome last night!

I don't know what's wrong with u Brucas fans, its not gonna happen. The whole show so far has been focused on Lucas and Peyton and their feelings 4 each other and the ups and downs they've been through. All of these seasons are basically based on the book or books he's been writing about his life and eventually lead to his foreverness with peyton. Unless it takes a wierd twist like Dawson's Creek where Joey ended up with Pacey, however the made the better couple. But 4 this show its Leyton who belongs together its only right. Like Lindsay said its an Epic Love Story. And I'm routin 4 them. Go Leyton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait Dan wasn't waving! Where did I get that from? lol. It still feels for real this time... like he's become a better man, and now, his work "here" is done.

I forgot to add how adorable I thought it was when Lucas said he ALWAYS saw Brooke "that way" and that it he thought it was beautiful! And then the purple monkey was passed on! So they both have one! And last, but certainly not least, the I LOVE YOUs! Loved it!
