I voted for gossip girl is the best show i ever seen before and now i love it and i think there all cool.

Well it's not even a contest, really. And it's more than just Dean actually going to Hell. For me, it's about Dean, sacrificing his own life to bring Sam back, and not allowing Sam to do anything harmful to himself, to save him in the end.

So, it's not only Dean actually going to hell, it's the fact that it's DEAN -- who sacrificed for others all of his life, who always remained true to himself, who always protected his little brother, and who, in the end, was willing to pay the price for the deal he made, by going to Hell. Oh, Dean!

3 of the 5 worst / most painful cliff hangers I have ever seen in my 45 years have all been from Supernatural. The season #1 ending was unbelievably painful. After I screamed so loud I hurt my throat, I cursed Kripke up one side and down the other... Then in AHBL #1 I cried my eyes out dreading the next episode... then the finale for season #2 was still incredibly big, but it was a bit of a relief also; so I thought the previous episode had the "killer" cliff hanger... But season #3... How can you beat Dean going to HELL! That is waaay worse than just dying. Hearing him call out for Sam... heart breaking. Oh yeah, definitely Supernatural!

There is a reason why we Supernatural fans call Eric Kripke "The Master"! Everyone thought that Dean would be safe by Sam and the fact that he wasn't proves to be the best written cliffhanger EVER! Now we are spending the whole summer trying to figure out how the heck will be come back, and how will Sam have manage without his older brother!
Lucas proposing? Ooooh... shocker... (please note the sarcasm). I was a huge OTH fan before the begining of the 5th season, I truly was. But now all that I watch that show for is for that little kid of Haley and Nathan. Dan's accident was way more than predictable.
I cannot wait for September 18th... and I only wish that it would come before the 1st.

Oh, FYI: a Hellhound is real; more real than Lucas's relationship with either of the three women he apparently asked in marriage.

I voted for Supernatural simply because I think Peyton should have died in the OTH finale ;) Hate her guts, she's an awful, annoying, pathetic, boring, waste of space character.

Gotta be SPN. I mean c'mon, Dan's been on death's door for 3 out of 5 finales now. Just kill him once already.

Supernatural's cliffhanger was absolutely the best in my book.

Nothing the guys found or tried worked to stop the inevitable from happening. Or at least nothing that Dean was willing to try, considering that Sam dying AGAIN was a possibility depending on what they tried, etc.

Dean REALLY was sent to Hell!! AND he's going to be coming back.

And now we're waiting MONTHS to find out (and the season 4 premiere is not going to answer all questions) - how & why Dean is brought back, what Sam was up to while he was "away" .. how all this has changed both guys ..

KRIPKE RULED WITH THE CLIFFHANGER THIS YEAR!!

stacie, it ain't no possessed girl and it ain't no invisible dog. the possessed girl is a demon possessed by a worse demon and the dog is a hellhound. as in, animal from hell. from HELL! where poor dean went!
oth is good, but i think getting sent to hell(!) may be slightly more important than a phone call from an annoying cheater who doesn't deserve any of the 3 girls who are in love with him for whatever reason!

I do agree that cliffhangers involving what we think is death are fantastic. From my own experience, when someone gets hit by a car(Not that I care that Dan did though, so that wasn't huge for me), killed by a demon, or drowns, it's always a good payoff. It's also a great hook for a new viewer, if they only see the season finale, they'll probably want to see if the guy/girl lives or not.

Supernatural all the way, i have loved every supernatural episode, i have not been disapointed in one, but i don't like to have to wait to see what happens, but i don't think anyone does really,

I mean we know Dean is going to get out of hell but how is it going to happen. Plus the last scene of him in hell was just chilling.

OTH is one of my favorite shows but there was nothing suspensful about lucas proposing especially since we saw that scene in the preview! The only thing that was shocking was dan getting run over.

I watch both SN and OTH but this is beyond easy - SN's cliffhanger was much more intense than OTH's!!!!

We have no idea what will happen to Dean and I think every OTH fan knows who Lucas will choose.

One Tree Hill all the way!! I get chills everytime I watch the previews to the first episode, and it's killing me to wait for the show. I have been keeping up with re-runs, but I can't possibly wait until september first to find out. Although in a way, it's sad, because it will probably end the interesting girl-plot for Lucas. But still, OTH hands down for me! I don't watch supernatural though, so I can't say I know what the finale was...

OTH did have a good cliffhanger with the Lucas marriage proposal (Dan getting hit by the car was predictable, including his pager going off afterwards).

But SUPERNATURAL had a GREAT cliffhanger!!! And that was even after the whole season was geared up towards it .. talk about really making a storyline PAYOFF. Not to mention everything it means storyline-wise for Season 4!!

Oh, please -- Lucas marriage snore, or Dean IN HELL. Clark disappearing when we know he'll be back, or Dean IN HELL. Sam maybe being the devil's son, or Dean IN HELL.
