Gossip Girl: "Blast" From The Past

So one secret's out of the bag, yes -- but there's still a lot we don't know. Looks like Rufus and Lily's boy isn't dead like his adoptive parents claimed! They lied to keep the pair away for now, but we have a feeling we haven't heard the last of that plotline. For now, Rufus and Lily are focused on each other, (and we do mean focused -- they found time for a little lovemaking while arguing about their love child) and hopefully their kids (this is a little less likely).
Hey, remember when the biggest obstacle Serena and Dan encountered was dealing with the fact that their parents were into each other, too? Now that they have knowledge of this mysterious half-sibling, both Humphrey/Van der Woodsen couples seem to have gotten over the other one's existence. The final moments of the episode made that pretty clear... but how long will these old flames last this time around?
So there was also that whole Chuck/Jack Bass plotline, but for once, Chuck's woes didn't really feel like the biggest story of the night. We have to admit, we were a little surprised when he totally blew Blair off for girls, booze and pills -- yeah, he's Chuck Bass, but after last week's emotional "I'm sorry" on the rooftop, we thought he'd at least show up for dinner with her. Instead, giving into temptations that scheming Uncle Jack set up meant that Chuck lost his seat on top of Bass Industries on a morality clause. Even worse, he seems to have lost Blair for good. When he lashed out at her for umpteenth time, accusing her of acting like a wife, she decided she'd had enough. And it'll take more than a pretty bouquet to win Ms. Waldorf back this time.
In a fluffy but sweet subplot, Jenny, having rejected Queen Bee status with the popular clique, decides that hanging with Eric and his boyfriend Jonathan is the perfect jolt to her social life. Problem is, she gives them no time alone. Eric finally told her that he needed some space, which hurt her feelings... but apparently, there's nothing like finding out that you share a sibling to make a quarreling girl and her gay pal reconcile.
We saw Nate for oh, five minutes. But at least his screentime was valuable -- he told Dan he considers him a true friend. Awww. Oh, and Vanessa made a brief appearance, mostly just to be a sympathetic ear for Dan's troubles and unhelpfully (okay, okay, she didn't know they had Dan's phone) text the popular clique his big secret.
By the way, was anyone else shocked that she and Nate planned to blow off Chuck's brunch to celebrate their two-month anniversary? Okay, Vanessa's not a big Chuck fan, but we thought Nate was! Ouch.
So what did you think of this episode? Do you like the rekindling of the Dan/Serena/Lily/Rufus flames, or do you prefer these couples apart? Will Blair really move on from Chuck, or is she just hurting temporarily? What will Chuck do now that he lost Bass Industries AND Blair in one bad move? What's going to happen when Rufus and Lily find out that their kid's still alive (because you know they will eventually!)? Tell us your thoughts in the comments!

I think that Jack had the most appalling behavior. Who does that to family?

I blame the writers for Chuck in the episode then Chuck itself. They made it too easy for Jack to come between him and Blair. The writers needed Chuck and Blair apart so Chuck could truly be destroyed and rise again and crush his uncle in the progress.
But i have to say I am tired of this constant drama between them. I love them and I really wish the writers would let them be happy for more then 2 seconds. I understand they want to keep us interested, but anything Chuck and Blair is interesting.

to be honest i dont know what to think i dont really think thouch B is done with C, shes just saying that, if B and N get together i will cry, the yale episode looks boring probably no C and B anything. Will Bs secret with J finally come out, and C dosnt even suspect anything happend the episode didnt even have the line "Blair woludnt touch you, whell you should ask her about it".
So it was boring
D and S and R and L boring ;(

They have to keep continuing the push and pull between Chuck and Blair somehow .. this is the current 'ploy.'
Soon we will be seeing Chuck go 'after' his Uncle Jack in order to get his position at Bass Industries back. That should be fun!
And I have to say, I was NOT surprised that Lily & Rufus's son turned out to not really be dead. Had it been true, then it would have been a storyline that went 'no-where' .. and now they actually have a more active storyline than if they'd found/met him right away .. they've been able to include deceptive & devious adoptive parents into the mix!
