America's Next Top Model: Doin' their thing on the catwalk.

And it shows.
Luckily, Bianca and Chantal from Cycle 9 show up to help them do the walk. Their advice -- be confident and be yourself. Some take it, some don’t.
The next day they are taken to designer Jill Stuart, where they will take part in her show featuring her spring collection. But there’s a catch. They have to walk with BAGS! Lots of bags. There they actually meet Jill Stuart and the editor-in-chief of Seventeen magazine, Ann Shoket. They both catch the show and offer their feedback.
Jill especially liked Celia, who opened the show. And she told Fo that she had a BIG personality. They were both really, really great. And somehow Allison squeaked by again. Jill said that she was “cute and quirky.” Everybody thought that Natalie was good but the spin she threw in was ridiculous. Tahlia was considered a little bit weak -- everyone (including us!) wants to see more confidence from that girl. Miss J hit it right on the nose when he said, “It looks like you feel you don’t belong here.”
Turns out that the winner for the evening was Natalie who got to keep some pieces from the Jill Stuart collection. Seriously? Fo was so much better!
Next up -- photo shoot time! Jay Manuel shows up for the photo shoot in a red double-decker bus. He wants them to tell a story in their next photo shoot. They snap group photos all around famous places in Manhattan and the judges must know where they are and what story they are trying to get across in their photos. Jay tells them to “Act a scene, don’t pose.” Some get it and some don’t.
Honestly, the makeup and the fashion were ghastly. Who can look sexy when they’re made up to look like a crazy clown person? But even with the…uh…unusual look, some did well. Sandra nailed it, Fo played up her Wall Street role and the photographer (the super hot Mike Rosenthal) loved Tahila.
But there were a few girls who didn’t make the most of their shoot. Allison was asked to be a snobby 5th Avenue socialite. She didn’t feel it. Nijah was blank again.
When it came down to the panel, everyone was a little nervous. Any of them could be bottom two.
So who missed the bus? Last week Paullina said that Nijah “…looks like a beautiful corpse.” This week she said “…she’s a yawn, a pretty yawn.”
Two strikes and Nijah is out.
It really seems like it’s impossible to be both a runway model and nail the photo shoot. Natalie works the runway but can’t bring the right energy to the camera. Allison can’t walk the walk but is typically captured in a positive light when it comes to pictures. Is it possible to win the competition? Tell us what you think?
Comments
Sorry to post my comments in a totally unrelated area. I am one of the contestants that was involved in that unfortunate incident in NY. I come to the site everyday hoping for an update. Just maybe I will get a second chance but i just cant help to notice that the blogs and all comments about the incident have been removed. I waited over 15 hours on line and still saw no one. I love Tyra's shows and I'm just wondering and hoping she will help me at least have my shot.
Sincerly loving fan and potential top model,
