Gossip Girl: The Bitch is Back

Chuck evaluates Georgina
This week's episode of Gossip Girl focused on many interweaving storylines, but let's just take a moment before we get into the meat of the plot to address the Chuck/Blair situation. We're not going to hide who we are rooting for in the Chuck/Blair/Nate love triangle. Chuck and Blair belong together! And while the cat and mouse game between them allows for intense, edge-of-your-seat programming, our fragile hearts just can't take anymore. How can Chuck look at a teary-eyed Blair and pretend that she means nothing to him? How can Chuck just let her walk away into Nate's arms? Why can't Chuck let himself be loved? Here's hoping Chuck causes a scene at prom resulting in Blair melting into his arms on the dance floor.

Hands down the best line of the entire episode occurred when the newly Christian-fied Georgina tells Blair that she just lets Jesus take the wheel on where life takes her next. Blair responds, "That's a Carrie Underwood song, not a life choice." Zing!

Yes, Georgina is back and she's teaming up with the old gang to catch Poppy in a money fraud scheme, because, as it turns out, Gabriel is merely a pawn in the faux-cialite's game. While Poppy played the victim, making everyone think Gabriel ran off with the money, she really had control of the funds. Serena, Blair and Chuck concoct a plan where Georgina pretends to be a little rich girl from Canada looking to participate in a philanthropic endeavor while making her first visit to the big city. How could Poppy resist such naivety?

In the meantime, Dan confides in Lily about Serena's money troubles. Instead of calling the cops or outing Poppy, Lily decides to cover the whole thing up by paying all the investors (even Rufus) back with the Bass fortune. Serena is furious with her mother for allowing Poppy to win and decides to go ahead with the Georgina plan against her mother's wishes. Again, Dan spills the beans to Lily, which prompts her to put out a warrant for Serena's arrest on a fake stealing charge. What is Lily thinking? Apparently she's not because it's this move that causes Rufus to rethink his marriage proposal.

The man was all ready with a ring and a lovely little afternoon lunch when Lily spills the beans about Serena's arrest and when Rufus finds out about Lily's plan to pull the wool over the investors' eyes. He even compares her to her mother! Now them's fighting words!

Georgina hands over her camp's Bible money to Poppy, thinking the cops outside are there to catch Poppy as she flees the scene. When the cops take Serena into custody, leaving Poppy with a clean getaway, Georgina freaks out and vows to stick it to her. Yep, she's baaaaack!

What did you think? Will Serena ever forgive her mother? Will Rufus ever forgive Lily? Will you ever forgive Chuck? Talk!

I dont care what you guys are saying about Blair i love her and i want to be like her. am even starting to act like her

I WOUNDER WHY BLAIR IS JEALOUS OF SERENA....SHE CAME BACK FROM BOARDING SCHOOL AND ALL SHE WANTED WAS TO HANG OUT WITH THE PEOPLE SHE LOVE....BUT BLAIR THINKS NO ONE WILL PAY ATTENTION TO HER NOW THAT SERENA IS BACK....I THINK SERENA IS A BETTER PERSON THEN BLAIR. =)

I LUV DIS SHOW I'M READING THE BOOKS

I like Gossip Girl but they are totally ruining it for me with Blair and Nate as a couple. They played out their story last season and now it's just BORING! Blair is stupid and she took Chuck's answer at face value just because she wanted to. However, I like Rufus and Lily as a couple way more than Dan and Serena. So, at least the writers are doing one thing right.
