SMALLVILLE Big Bad Bracket: Poing! Division

We're back with more from the Smallville Big Bad Bracket -- we're getting ready to rumble with the Poing! Division. Before we get to the action, let's take a moment to recap what went down in the Yowza! division, where the contests were hugely uneven. Stiletto stabbed Linda Lake into submission, while Maxima's pheromones were no match for Zatanna's magic. Liver of Steel quickly (and blissfully) succumbed to Naked Distraction, and Kara's Departure reduced Plastique to so many harmless shards. COngrats to the winners!

Now it's time to take on some of the most surprising developments of the season. Which mortality moment will survive: Jimmy's (?) Death or Lex's Death(?)? Can Shape-shifting take out Lie Detector Confessions? Will Lies! outweigh Memory Wipes? And which Kryptonite reigns supreme -- the Black variety or the Liquid Green variety? Your votes decide -- polls are open until July 30 at noon. Get voting!

Jimmy's (?) Death
Jimmy Olsen discovers Clark's identity in time to be killed by Davis Bloom while kissing Chloe. We later discover that Jimmy is not “"the" Jimmy, but the older brother of the true Jimmy Olsen. Um, okay...

Lex's Death (?)
Lex Luthor, the original arch-nemesis, is killed at the end of "Requiem" by a bomb placed by Green Arrow. As it's Lex, we expect he's not really dead -- but he's been awfully quiet ever since.
Shape-shifting
For the majority of "Injustice," we were led to believe a frightened and unhinged Chloe was attempting to have Clark kill Davis. That is, until Tess clicks the button that caused an explosion in Eva's brain, killing her and the shape-shifting guise.

Lie detector confessions
After Jimmy and Chloe's mishaps in with the lie-detector quiz, Lois and Clark decide to "act" like a couple and take the quiz themselves -- and Lois is forced to declare her love for Clark. She denies it later, but some things can't be unsaid.
Lies!
In 'Beast," in an attempt to protect Davis, Chloe blatantly lied to Clark, telling him that Davis was in Alaska. Bad move, Chloe -- those lies almost got Jimmy and Oliver killed!

Memory wipes
When Clark asks Jor-El to restore Chloe's memories after the Brainiac infection, he has one little request -- can you leave out all the bits about my secret identity and powers? Hmm... is censoring your best friend's memories any better than lying to them?
Black Kryptonite
Season 8 brought back the black. In the whole Doomsday/Davis debacle, it was the slamming of Black Kryptonite into Davis' chest that separated the man from the beast. Though it eased Clark's conscience with killing Doomsday, it also allowed Davis to kill Jimmy in a jealous rage.

Green Liquid Kryptonite

As if Green Kryptonite wasn't bad enough, now it comes in liquid form for quicker absorption. This is the stuff Chloe bathed Davis in to kill him...except it didn't really kill him. More like, it made him practically invincible. Oops.
