The Sourcies Are Shocked By These Massive Meltdowns
Sometimes very, very bad things happen to the folks on The CW -- and that leads to some very, very good television. Whether they're completely freaking out, exhibiting an icy calm that belies the turmoil underneath, or doing their best to burn every last bridge, we love watching these characters react -- and that's why this Sourcie celebrates the Most Dramatic Meltdowns this season. Check it out:
The poll closes on September 3, so get voting!

Fair enough Lee. I'm glad that you liked the episode. I wish that I would have liked it better. Anyway good post. Thank you for being respectful with your disagreement too. It was a welcome change from some of the attacks received around here toward someone who is just stating their own opinion. Which is what these polls are supposed to be about. So thanks again.

Con, I have a feeling that you and I would not agree on many things regarding this show.
I thought this episode was one of the greatest in Supernatural history. It was 40 minutes of my heart breaking. The acting was just phenomenal, the writing was fantastic, the guest appearances of hallucinations were insightful, and did anybody else notice how great the lighting was?!
When The Levee Breaks was just all around awesome. And although I really don't think they chose a great clip here, Sam's meltdown is by far the most dramatic.
When I read the little lines before watching the clips, I saw the "Brooke tells Peyton about her attack" or whatever, and I thought, "Oh, this could be tough." But the clip they chose? There was not one single iota of a meltdown in there. I actually laughed at the end
90210 was the closest in my opinion, but I had no clue what was going on. Plus, the acting was atrocious.

I was looking forward to Sam's meltdown, but it wasn't really worth the wait. Levee was a boring episode. The acting was good from all fronts, but I still felt like we didn't get to see anything new inside Sam's head (which was what I was looking forward too). Plus we had Bobby wanting to let Sam out to use as a weapon, with little regard to Sam the person. At least he had the decencey to feel a little bit guilty about it.
I agreed with Dean that it was better to let Sam die than let him continue to go evil. The old Sam would have agreed as well. He told Dean to kill him if he ever started to turn. I thought at the time it was an unfair request to ask of his brother, and at the time I gave Sam enough credit to not allow himself to go darkside. Guess I was wrong on both counts.
Anyway despite the lack luster execution by the writers, I grudgingly give my vote to SN because of the acting.

For how amazing Sam's breakdown was in Supernatural, we get a scene of him just screaming and Dean and Bobby talking?
I swear sometime I feel like the CW really tried to undermine Supernatural. Not once have I seen a good clip (besides the sex scene clips) used for the Sourcies. They are usually small snippets from the scene but not the entire scene. I'm just glad that SPN is still winning almost all of the categories.. put that in your Joice Box and suck it. ;p

If they had showed the clip of Sam bouncing of the walls and stuff, I would've voted for Supernatural...But they didn't so I figured I'd throw my vote to 90210--Jessica Stroup was AMAZING in that scene.

After all the things Sam went through in the panic room, being throw around the room, hallucinations, being totured and the emotional moments of talking to his young self and dead mother and we get a clip of Dean and Bobby talking?
Way to miss the meltdown boat. Same could be said for the OTH scene didn't really capture the emotion of Brooke's true melt or breakdown.

Sam's meltdown is by fay the most heartbreaking thing I have ever watched. Jared's performance was award worthy.Great stuff!

I am tired with blair. I am going with supernatural.

What happened to Sam was the most awful thing I've had to seen on spn, it just makes me die inside. I hate that Dean was going to kill him, it's terrible. imo, Dean's more a monster than Sam ever was or will be.

Supernatural .Seeing Sam go through that and Jareds performance was outstanding.

Supernatural Sam Demon Detox. Need not say anymore. Meltdown? Anyone who doesn't feel that way, needs to watch the entire episode of 4x21 When the Levee Breaks. It can't really all be summed up in one clip.
Second choice of mine...I think I'll go with 90210. Silver's meltdown was very dramatic. Though its not ANYWHERE near Supernatural's meltdown, I do feel some of her pain. When it feels like her whole world is gone...
Choice 1:Supernatural no brainer
Choice 2: 90210
One Tree Hill wasn't a meltdown. At least not that clip. If you showed the Brooke asking Deb to learn how to fire a gun or something in that episode regarding that, that would've made a better option for this sourcie.
Gossip girl Blair was just pathetic. Drunk Blair is all it looked like to me. Chuck's roof scene was more dramatic and his meltdown was way more epic. He escaped to some other country, smoked at school with no care, messed up the chance to take Bart's company, and then screwed up everything with Blair.
SUPERNATURAL WINs THIS. dont deny it :)

Although, this wasn't the best scence, Brooke definitely. Plagued her all season.

I'm sure that I'm gonna be voting for Supernatural but I'll get a second opinion since I can get pretty biased when remembering the whole episode (considering the most of it was Sam's detox).
But I gotta ask, what's with the clip? It showed more of Bobby and Dean then it did Sam. At least have Alastair torturing the guy for us to see the hallucination that Sam was going through.
My second choice would have to be 90210.

Ok, this is Sam's Demon Detox and they show mostly Dean & Bobby?? HUH?!? The clip should of been when he went flying around the room or even talking to the hallucinations.

Nothing beats Supernatural in this category. It breaks my heart everytime I see it. Although I think they probably could have chosen a better clip for it.

*looks at OTH/90210/GG*
Dramatic meltdowns, huh?
*looks at Sam Winchester*
You know, at least Clark makes sense, since he's, you know, pretending to be Superman.
But demon-detox...
I feel so embarrassed on Show's behalf to be surrounded by thse shows.

i guess i didn't understand supernatural's, and smallville's...i lOVE OTH, but not that great...so GG gets my vote, Blair was very entertaining and I LOVED that scene...90210 was a close second...

How could anything else possibly be more of a meltdown besides Sam's detox? I swear, just the thought of it breaks my heart into a million pieces. The other nominees are great and all, but with everything Sam went through - physically and emotionally - in that damn panic room... Supernatural gets this one, hands down.
