SPN all the way, man! I mean, even if you watched the first episode you totally know what that scene was important. I thought the OTH scene was pretty good but I still have to vote for my Winchesters. I mean, yeah OTH made everyone cry but it is so much like real life that it is almost as bad as reality TV (which I hate!). I'm sorry but I prefer a little bit of fiction in my shows. And SPN definitely has that! Go Winchesters!

Out of all these Supernatural deserve it most. Very good episode.

So I understand the history and effects of the SPN scene, but OTH wins by far. The scene is incredibly heartbreaking, I cried the first time I saw it. Leyton had to make a life changing decision that many people have to unfortunately make everyday. Peyton's selflessness alone is heartbreaking and beautiful, that she willingly knows keeping her baby could kill her. Lucas obviously does not want to lose the love of his life. It's a very tricky situation. When we made the nominations I thought they meant overall drama, not specific issues haha. But the Scott family would have won that, hands down. Gossip Girl and 90210, eh whatever. All of these sourcies seem to be between SPN and OTH anyways.

ohhh come on! OTH scene is so real and intense! should win this time...Leyton choice was truly hard to make!so vote for real drama!

Lol at the "one mistake ruined their lives" comments. Do you realize that without that "mistake" there woudn't BE any Winchesters whose lives could be ruined?
Again, I don't really feel qualified to vote because I only watch SPN (and that family is so effed up, it's hard to beat), but I have to admit the OTH scene looked pretty intense.

In this case, I don't think the video for Supernatural properly explained the magnitude of the whole situation for people who don't watch Supernatural...
That deal is the whole reason that Sam is half-demon, that Mary is dead and therefore the whole reason John became a hunter and taught his boys to become hunters. And actually, if you wanna look on a larger scale, if Sam and Dean hadn't become hunters, the Apocolypse never would have started and Lucifer would not be rising...

As much as I hate LP (Pucas), they get my vote here. That is one of the only times I actually enjoyed their scenes and felt emotion coming from them.

one tree hill's drama was actually pretty heartbreaking and realistic, for once. BUT chad michael murray sucks, he looks like he's trying too hard to act, resulting in his weird girly choked up voice and constipated facial expressions. Thank god he got fired!

I'd have to say, even though I loathe OTH, that that was pretty heartbreaking. But if you dont understand why everyones voting for SPN on this one, youd have to watch the first episode of supernatural and then watch this episode to get it. #1 SPN #2 OTH #3-90210 #4 GG...thats my opinion

OTH def has my vote on this! Jeez that was such an intense scene and well acted! I do love Leyton so maybe im a bit biased, but come on you have to admit that was such a great scene!!!!

I think OTH all the way. Yes, Mary's decision did end up bringing the Apocalypse but OTH's scene had me bawling and I HATE Leyton with every fiber of my being.
Supernaturals was very well done: Mary makes a deal with Azazel to bring back her dead husband which ends up letting Azazel bleed into Sammy's mouth and Mary dies, etc. etc.
But OTH is something couples go through all the time and I think Hilarie did an impressive job in making it believable (Chad, not so much but w/e)
So OTH

Supernatural wins this one for me (although I'll admit that GG is a close second). The whole episode was so well constructed. Dean seeing his family in another light was great; their kickbutt Hunter past was even better. Castiel told Dean that he couldn't have changed destiny, but a part of me couldn't help wonder if maybe that wasn't what had happened anyway. Maybe it was sort of a case of the chicken and the egg. Maybe Old Dean went back and things happened that way, and Mary made the deal, had her white-picket fence family, died the way she did and her kids were raised hunters anyway; Young Dean growing up to be the kinda-messed-up-but still-totally-a-hero Dean we know and love only to be sent back again and influence the past the way it was supposed to be influenced. Am I making any sense? It seemed kinda clear in my head... And talk about running away from the river and ending up in the ocean: Mary was from a hunter family and made a deal so her children wouldn't become hunters, and they became two of the most respected (by other hunters) and feared (by the creatures they hunt) hunters.
Anyway, the Winchester family secret wins this contest.

The best Family Drama is Supernatural. This episod, "In the beginning" was the best episod for knowning the Winchester Story. It was one of my favorite episods. I've cried in it. Amy Gumenick ( Young Mary) is a very good actrice.

This is hard.
First there's of course, my favorite Supernatural. And that moment right there is the start of everything. Yellow-Eyes, the demon deals, the deaths everything the Winchesters have been through was because of that one moment. Which means all the family drama up until now and in the future was because of Mary's deal.
BUT then, there's OTH. The moment is so real to what unfortunately many couples have to deal with. No matter what the decision, there was the huge possiblity of a devastating end. And no one can deny that both of them are right in their thinking. How do you choose between two of the most precious people in your life?
This is a toughie. I have to think this through before voting.

Okay, there is simply nothing more familial dramatic than Mary essentially giving up Sam to the Yellow-Eyed Demon, sending their entire family down a dark spiral of pain and sadness.
I can understand how the others are dramatic as well (I cried when I first saw that OTH scene...) But come on! How can they possibly compare to Supernatural's?!
SPN FTW!

Supernatural all the way. One Tree Hill was a close second but c'mon. Dean and Sam's mother makes a deal with the Yellow Eyed Demon to bring their dad back to life, so on Sam's 6 month birthday he can bleed demon blood into his mouth making him a psychic kid. But Mary walks in on his so he kills her, pins her to a wall, and burns her and the whole house. Which makes John (their dad) start hunting and become obsessed with killing the demon and Dean becomes the protector of Sam. But then Sam dies in which Dean sells his soul to bring Sam back to life and Dean has only one year to live. Dean's time runs out and he goes to hell, making Sam decide to use his powers and trust Ruby, who betrays him and gets him addicted to demon blood to "help" him. Dean comes back and discovers what Sam has been doing. This inspires more drama and by the second to last episode of the season Sam is beyond addicted to demon blood so Dean and Bobby lock him in a demon proof panic room for a detox that most likely will kill him. Sam goes through hell fighting the blood and what it's doing to him, and Dean and Bobby go through hell hearing Sam's screams. Sam escapes and then meets Ruby, drinks more blood, gets walked in on by Dean where they get into a huge fist fight, ending with Sam strangling Dean. Dean says "If you walk out that door, don't you EVER come back," and Sam walks out. He meets Ruby and goes to kill Lillith to keep Lucifer from rising from hell. Dean meets him but it's too late. He killed Lillith and broke the final seal (because Ruby tricked him into it) and Lucifer rises from hell.
How the heck does anyone beat that? One mistake his mom made ruined all their lives. Not one thing above would have happened if Mary had not made that deal.
SPN FTW

LOVED In the Beginning. One of the best episodes ever!!!! SPN gets my vote!

I have never seen an episode of One Tree Hill before. I only watch Gossip Girl and Supernatural and in my opinion that scene blew Supernatural's scene outta the water. So I voted for One Tree Hill, simple as that.(Im still a devoted Supernatural fan to the end though:])

Who chose the Supernatural nomination on this one? I'm just curious, because family drama...I was expecting the nomination of Sam and Dean drifting apart. (slight laugh) That was one of the hugest themes in Season 4. The siren episode clip where they are forced to confess everything would've summed that entire thing up (until the demon blood I guess, but that's not the point).
That would've been the strongest nomination from Supernatural for this sourcie.
But I guess, if you want to look at it with Mary, that could work too. It wasn't exactly family drama because I see family drama as drama between members of a family. It wasn't drama between Azazel and Mary. I could kinda see where that places it in this sourcie... but would've been sure-fired to vote for Supernatural if you showed a clip between the brothers. Still, compared to the rest, Supernatural still owned family drama. That's all they were about this season!

Mary Winchester certainly, though unwittingly, did start some major drama in her son's lives. WHAT COULD BE WORSE THAN THE APOCALYPSE? Hence, she's a 'shoe-in'!
