One Tree Hill Podcast: "4:30am (Apparently They Were Traveling Abroad"
One Tree Hill returns, but not everyone returns with it. We all knew that Lucas and Peyton would be gone, but we were sure how it would affect the show. The answer? Well, you'll have to listen to find out!
Check it out as Mia, Darcel (a faithful Tree-Hiller) and I discuss how Dan continues to cheat death (and not everyone feels the same about that), whether Naley or Brulian can ever be happy, whether we approve of all the new folks, and who won the male shirtless pose-off in this ep -- it's not who you think!

in the begining of the show the first time nathen went to haley's house he was all like "these are all your siblings??!" when he saw a family picture on the wall. and haley has mentioned three of her sisters throughout the show (vivian, quinn, and taylor) it is unknown wether she has more sibs. tho
and im seriously loooving quinn!

Ummmm....Can we just talk about how haley is supposed to be the youngest?? Throwback to 1st season when she and nathan get married, thats why her parents leave b/c their last child has left the nest?? Would it have killed them to make quinn 2 years older??
But seriously Loving quinn besides that she's hilarious!

i love the new girl!! hahaha she's hilarious!! two tree hill, that's awesome. and i agree with her, i am so sick of dan at this point. he really does either need to leave town or die cuz his story line is so old at this point and being an evangelical minister isn't going to save his charactor. he's done, they should trade him in for deb cuz at least she was still funny.
i thought there were some funny parts and robert buckley is definitely hot, but i don't see much hope for this season. i'm already mad that they're screwing with naley again, cuz they've done that so much already and i'm sorry but i'm kinda sick of jamie. i mean the kid is cute, but there's no way he should be getting as much air time as he is. he's 7, his story lines are not very interesting and it's weird how he's like this little genius who always knows the right thing to say and do. he's not even a normal kid. and nathan and haley's story lines have been way too wrapped up in him. by the way, there is NO WAY that mouth looked better shirtless than nathan!!! the wooden acting thing was funny but his acting has never bothered me either, especially when he's supposed to do a scene where he's pissed cuz he does those real good.
it was weird w/o lucas and peyton but their story line was getting old too. all of them are really. brooke and julian kinda annoyed me accept the thing in the bedroom at naley's and the thing about peyton leaving cuz those were funny.
i hope they don't screw this season up too bad

Wow, potentially the first time ever I completely disagree with all you guys! I LOVED this episode. I really don't like Peyton (AT ALL, despite loving Hilarie), but I was still sad when I found out Chad and Hil were leaving. Despite that, I really didn't feel their absence in this episode. Even the narrating - there were a lot of episodes in the past few seasons especially when there was no narration, or someone else did it, so it really didn't bother me that there was no voice-over-Chad.
The scene with Millie and Calliope was supposed to be a throwback to Brooke's scene with Millie in 501. So Millie is now Brooke, except in NY, not Victoria (thank God!). As for Quinn, she was definitely mentioned earlier. I'm pretty sure it was in the Season Two episode right after Taylor first shows up (210?). Luke and Nathan are talking about Haley's sisters while shooting around on the Rivercourt (when Nathan says he lost his virginity to one of Haley's sisters).
I *REALLY* don't think Nathan cheated on Haley - the blackmail theory, makes a lot more sense, especially in terms of Mark's whole, 'Just because you got what you wanted, doesn't mean it's great all the time'. And, along a similar line, the whole long distance thing that Brooke and Julian have to deal with, I think also alludes to that theme. I do agree with you guys that Julian probably should have taken that job in NZ, though.
Oh, haha, and I expected something worse to have happened to David, too! Maybe not the rhino thing, lol, but I did think he'd been killed, with the way Quinn was going on about it.
LOVED the new characters in general. I know last season seemed so nicely wrapped up, but the whole point of that, according to Mark, was to be able to jump forward 14 months, without the loose ends (or, at least, as few loose ends as there can be in Tree Hill, lol).
Thanks for the podcast (and sorry for the long comment)!!

I agree that it did seem like the music was going at inappropriate times when people were talking! And if they were going to let Dan die, they would have done it in the final episode of Season 6, I think. Did you notice that he put on weight for Season 6, but his cheekbones stood out in this episode? And I haven't decided who wrote "Marry Me" in the sand - Brooke or Julian.
