Sophia Anna Bush celebrates her 26th birthday today! Sophia was born under the sign of Cancer. Typically, Cancers are emotionally intense and deeper than they appear on the surface. They’re super sensitive and understanding once you get through their tough, independent exterior. Does that sound like our girl Brooke Davis or what?
Last year, Sophia spent her 25th birthday whooping it up at a private party in Vegas, but there’s no telling how she’ll be spending her big day this year. We’re thinking that she may lay low and just spend time with friends. According to the humble actress, “People care about my personal life, but I’m really dorky. I drink beer, go to football games and ya know, sit in my house in a T-shirt on the weekends and play with my dog.”
Sophia was born and raised in Pasadena, California. The smart gal attended USC and was even a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority where she served as social chair (taking control, just like her alter ego, Brooke Davis—Class President at Tree Hill High). In 2000, Sophia was the Tournament of Roses Parade Queen, and two years later she landed her first role on the big screen in the comedy Van Wilder.”
While playing Brooke Davis on One Tree Hill consumes most of her time, Sophia still manages to land plenty of movie roles. She even won three Teen Choice Awards for John Tucker Must Die and The Hitcher. Next up for Sophia? Two movies: The Narrows and a flick called Table for Three, which just finished filming.
Eonline reports that Gossip Girl received a whopping 14 Teen Choice nominations, including Best Drama, Best Breakout Show, and Choice TV Actor/Actress.
It's true that GG is everywhere on the list of nominations. All three female leads (Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, and Taylor Momsen) are up for Best Breakout Female Star, and we were especially excited to see Ed Westwick's Chuck Bass nominated for Choice TV Villain along with Smallville's Michael Rosenbaum. But One Tree Hill also earned its fair share of nominations, including Choice TV Drama, Hilarie Burton and Sophia Bush for Choice TV Actress and Chad Michael Murray for Choice TV Actor. Our complaint: where are James Lafferty and Bethany Joy Galeotti? They deserve some noms, too!
Other shows represented include America's Next Top Model (Cycle 10 winner Whitney is up for Choice TV Female Reality Star, Tyra is up for Choice TV Personality, and the show itself is in the running for Choice TV: Reality Beauty and Makeover), Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious (for Reality Music Competition), and Smallville (Choice TV Show Action/Adventure, Choice TV Actor/Actress Action/Adventure for Tom Welling and Kristin Kreuk). Even Beauty and The Geek made the list with a nomination for Choice TV: Reality Beauty & Makeover.
Notably absent from the list: Supernatural and Reaper. And what about Everybody Hates Chris, Aliens in America, Girlfriends, and The Game? We think these shows were seriously overlooked -- do you agree?

Sophia Bush and Daphne Zuniga stopped by a Macy's in New York packed with frenzied One Tree Hill-lovers, and each group wanted to prove to us that they were the ultimate OTH fans (usually, they proved this by screaming even louder). Special props to the Ravens jersey wearers and the pumped girl in hot pink. They're definitely devoted. Check out the video and be the judge -- which fan is the craziest for OTH? Or is it you?

Sophia will be on Live with Regis and Kelly and Chace makes an appearance on Rachael Ray. We wonder what Chace will cook up with Rachael -- and we're hoping she doesn't embarrass him too much. The promo on her website hints at some not-so-hot photos from his past!
Just a few days ago, we were all talking about the People.com story that reported Sophia Bush was hanging out with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. Apparently not anymore -- or at least not Friday night, because People's now saying that Romo hit the clubs with none other than Britney Spears! The two met up at the restaurant Ketchup, and then later on at club Les Deux.
So this news begs the question: are Sophia and Tony over? Were they ever even an item? If he's out with the likes of Brit, we think he's lowered his standards... by a lot. We can't imagine classy Sophia having much in common with Britney, so we wonder what Tony sees in the troubled pop star -- and how he changed his mind so quickly! Of course, Sophia might've had other plans that night. Or maybe the two are just friends (always a possibility). Who knows... but what do you guys think of this new development?

We’ve all read about how Sophia was a popular coed at USC before she split the college scene to take the role of Brooke in OTH. And we even knew that she was the Tournament of Roses Parade Queen back in 2000. But we’d never seen the evidence before! Fortunately for us, People recently did a little recap about celebs who did the college thing before hitting it big, and they feature Sophia looking so cute! We love that after all her success, she still wants to go back and finish school one day.
Okay, we forgive Sophia's recent questionable outfit from NYC Fashion Week... because she looks pretty freaking awesome in her frock at Calvin Klein. You guys like?
