It's Sourcies Season, and We Need Your Help!

That's right, folks, it's time for the fabulous CW Sourcies! You know the drill: We pit scenes and moments from various shows against each other and let you vote to see what comes out on top! And we want your help!

We're compiling the categories for this year's competition, but it occurred to us that hey, why should we have all the fun? So we want your input: What categories do you want to see your fave shows compete in this year? Are you looking for perennial favorites, like best fight, best kiss, best villain? Or do you have something more out-there in mind?

So here's our challenge to you: Use the comments to tell us what categories you want to vote in this year. If you see something you think is brilliant, second that emotion. We'll pick the categories that you love, that tickle our fancy, and that will make the Sourcies better than ever this year. Get commenting! We can't wait to see what you come up with!

Note: Wow! You guys rock! We've picked out categories for this year, so the comments are now closed. Now go nominate your favorites!

The CW Upfronts: Goodbye to the Fallen Shows

As happy as we are about the new shows on The CW -- we think Melrose Place, The Vampire Diaries and The Beautiful Life all look like a blast -- we do have to take a moment to mourn the shows -- and characters -- we've lost. Join us and remembering these fallen favorites:

Privileged: At first blush, we feared this show would be a Gossip Girl knockoff -- look, it's based on a series of teen-girl books, and it's about the lives of the fabulously rich! -- but we soon realized it was so much more. We'll miss the show's mix of sweetness and sharpness, and we'll miss out weekly dose of Megan, Rose, Sage, Marco and Will. We held out hope that the show would make it onto the schedule -- after all, it seemed to hit the young-woman demographic that the CW prizes -- but alas, it was not to be.

The Game: Not only was this a funny/smart/sharp/touching/outrageous/always amusing half-hour of TV, it was also a fantastic set to visit. We loved Derwin, Mel, Malik, Tasha, Kelly and Jason almost as much as we loved Pooch, Tia, Hosea, Wendy Raquel, Brittany and Coby. As fantastic as they are on-screen, believe us, they're even sweeter and funnier in person. We'll miss the show, with it's mix of laugh-out-loud funny and jaw-dropping drama (often int he same scene!), but we'll miss hanging out with the cast even more. And from the comments we've been getting on our last video with Pooch and Hosea, we know you feel the same way.

Say goodbye to Reaper, Everybody Hates Chris and Lily after the jump.

The Game and the Press

We couldn't help but do a double take when we ran across this article in the Detroit News. Hey, look! There's a picture of our own Jason C., interviewing Wendy Raquel Robinson (aka the fabulous Tasha Mack) and series creator Mara Brock Akil! How cool!

And then... we read the article. We agree with the basic point -- The Game is a great show that doesn't get half enough press coverage. When it does, the reporters on the other ends of the microphone can sound like they're never even heard of the show, much less watched it. But that hardly applies to Jason and the rest of us here at The CW Source -- we love the show, and we like to think we know our stuff!

Want proof? Check back tomorrow to see some of the interviews Jason did at the very premiere party where that picture was taken. So thanks for raising the issue, Detroit News, but give us credit when it's due!

Fighting Words: I Watch The Game for Relationship Drama vs. It's All About The Comedy!

Fighting Words is back, and this time we're talking about The Game! Fiercely funny, brave, and heartfelt, this show is more than just a sitcom -- it's also packed with majorly dramatic moments. This week it's just Sarah and me in the ring, since Mia hasn't watched The Game much. We're talking about why we watch -- is it for the comedy or the drama? The show's strong in both areas, but we each think one stands out a bit more. Check out what we've got to see and post your own thoughts in the comments!

The Game: Why do you watch?

Sarah: The Game is a weird hybrid show -- it’s not a straight-up comedy, because we’ve got Melanie and Derwin’s sometimes-soap, often rocky relationship at the center of the show. But it’s not a relationship drama, because characters like Tasha, Kelly, Malik and Jason just can’t stop being laugh-out-loud funny. That’s one of the reasons The Game is such a great show -- it never settles into just one groove.

Happy Birthday, Coby Bell!

Happy birthday, Coby!Happy birthday to The Game's Coby Bell -- he turns 33 on Sunday.

Kudos to Coby for bringing so many layers to Jason this season. We've alternately wanted to hug him when he exposes his vulnerabilities... and wanted to punch him (lying to Kelly about the reason he didn't want to sleep with her comes to mind). Regardless of his plotlines, though, Coby makes us care about what's happening to Jason, and we're excited to see how the season ends for him.

Some Coby trivia -- sure, you knew he starred on Third Watch, but did you know he also had guest appearances on Buffy The Vampire Slayer, ER, and CSI: Miami?

We hope Coby has an awesome day celebrating with friends and family. Post your birthday wishes for Coby here!

The Game: Dating Ups and Downs, Plus Serena Williams!

What'd you think of last night's episode of The Game? We felt like the show got a little off track this week. Sure, we loved watching the gang date new people (including guest star Serena Williams!), but the huge Kelly/Jason rift of last week was just a blip on the show's radar -- and last week's episode left us hanging! Here's hoping the show picks up their story next week. In the meantime, the feuding pair took a backseat to Malik, Derwin, and Mel's dating ups and downs, which were also a lot of fun.

First, there's Derwin. He just isn't having much luck as a single guy. But it's kind of his fault -- he's trying to be Malik, and the player ways aren't working for him. Last week, that girl in the club saw right through his champagne and smooth talking, and this week's not much better. Just as Derwin finally gets closer to his latest lady, he lashes out at her when he hears about her dating history. Hasn't he learned by now to stop hiding behind the tough-guy facade? Until he can be real with the women he dates, Derwin's not going to get very far.

Mel, too, is dating, but not very enthusiastically.
