Fringe: When In Doubt, Nazis.
Call us cynical, but as we understand it, the Germans of the 1930s were all about the cutting edge of technology. We're pretty sure that should this fastidious and brilliant Nazi scientist still be around, frozen in his aging process, he'd be using the very latest available cleanest most flawless music format available. Pretty sure he'd not use a scratchy old copy of Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen, but a fantastic clean version, full of the glory and drama where every note is clear.

Though given the success of his formula to poison people based on specific genetic markers...we have to wonder if Robert Bishop shared Walter's tendency to follow the information and it's possibilities without considering the implications or moral connotations. Or maybe his friend has been working on it for the last 70 years on his own? And why exactly is it that when they looked at the photograph of Dear Old Grandad at the end of the ep that that didn't recognize the recently eliminated adversary?
