Comic-Con: The Scoop on Family Guy

Expect cardboard affairs, the source of all dirty jokes, the unveiling of the Evil Monkey, and tough-girl Meg this season on Family Guy. Seth McFarlane and the cast and crew revealed this and more -- much of which we can't quote directly, because the obscenity filter at work would blow up. Gotta love Seth and Comic Con.

We got an exclusive peak at the next Family Guy Star Wars episode -- including the "giant boobie nipple gun," a screed against 20th Century Fox for giving George Lucas all merchandising rights, and a Jetson's cameo -- plus hints about upcoming episodes. Here's what's coming up:

  • Peter has an affair with a cardboard cutout of 90s supermodel Kathy Ireland.
  • Peter, Joe and Quagmire go on a quest to find the source of all the world's dirty jokes. We imagine they find them in Seth McFarlane's head.
  • Brian drives drunk and hits and kills a dog in the road. He's wracked with guilt -- and then wracked with rage when he discovers that no one really cares when a dog dies.
  • Meg goes to jail, and comes out a little tough, a little scarier, and a bit more manly.
  • Lois bonds with her mom over "an interesting sexual experience they've shared in their lives." We're officially afraid.
  • The family finally meets the Evil Monkey.
But there's one episode that probably won't make it to the air -- an unplanned pregnancy episode that the network allowed them to film, but shied away from actually airing. Gee, Family Guy addressing a sensitive political hot-button issue like abortion -- how could they not think THAT was a good idea?

What we saw of the Star Wars episode looks typically hysterical -- and yes, the crowd here ate it up. Plus, we found out that we'll see American Dad and The Cleveland Show characters -- along with James Woods -- in the Star Wars ep.

What's your take on The Family Guy? Which upcoming ep are you looking forward to the most? Talk about it in the comments!

Happy Father's Day from FOX!

Father's Day is Sunday, and the folks at FOX want you to celebrate! They sent us a slew of Father's Day moments from their animated heroes -- we're going to assume they're what NOT to do as a dad. Plus, we caught up with some FOX dads, past and present, and asked them how they like to celebrate Father's Day. Check out the videos!

Reasons to be Thankful

As we prepare for the annual Festival of Starch and tryptophan-induced food coma that is Thanksgiving, we've been pondering the things we're thankful for this season on FOX. Here's what's running through our heads as we count our blessings this year:
  • Our favorite animated families are still bringing the hilarity - even, in The Simpsons' case, after 20 years!
  • No matter what obstacles are thrown in his way, Michael Scofield always has a plan on Prison Break.
  • The fabulous relationships on Prison Break. There's the Michael and Sarah love story, of course, but there's also the bond between the brothers, and we still get sniffly when we remember Sucre praying for Michael's health!
  • Robots just keep getting sexier on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
  • Terminator keeps hitting us with new twists - Riley knows Jesse? Ellison is teaching ethics to a rebuilt Cromartie? What's going on?
  • That House remains one of the best shows on TV - AND that our doctors don't seem to be turning to House for hints on proper bedside manner!
  • Finding out Wilson has a dark side that involves jail time and stained glass windows
  • The House and Cuddy kiss!
  • Walter Noble on Fringe - we love his stream-of-consciousness food reports, his childlike glee at being out of the mental institution, his matter-of-fact grasp of things that make our head spin - and his frequent paeans to pharmaceuticals. That is one heavily medicated man!
  • Joshua Jackson is back on TV - and he's got such a juicy part on Fringe!
  • The continuing knee-buckling chemistry between Booth and Brennan on Bones.
  • That Brennan figured out that Jared was Booth-Light - and there's no substitute for Seeley!
  • Sweets!
  • That Gordon Ramsay is cleaning up the countries restaurants one expletive-laden rant at a time.
  • Jack Bauer is back - and we'll get Day 7 of 24 in January!
  • American Idol returns, and there's a new judge to mix up the dynamic. We can't wait to see how Kara DioGuardi shakes things up!

What about you? What makes your list of reasons to be thankful this year on FOX? Tell all in the comments!
