FOX Fans: Defend the Hottness Honor of Your Favorite Stars!

Have you been itching for a chance to show your devotion to your favorite FOX characters? Now you have not one but two chances to do just that!

The fine folks at KDVR in Denver are hosting a Battle of the FOX Hotties as we speak. Right now, the Women's bracket is up, but you can still vote in the Men's bracket as well. The second phase of the Men's competition launches Friday, and the second round of Women's matches goes up on Tuesday, February 18 -- so get voting!

Then there's an all networks battle to the death over at the South Florida Sun Sentinel, where CW stars are going up against the juggernauts from the other four broadcast networks. The Bad Boys division (which includes Puck and Peter Bishop -- and Puck is currently losing) is already off the front page, but you can still vote. Keep checking this page throughout the next month to support your fave stars!

* We know, we know -- there are those among you who sneer at such things, who protest that we should focus on the content of the shows and the nuances of the acting rather than the exterior facade of the people who bring our favorite characters to life. And we like to think we do that here... but that doesn't stop us from being able to celebrate the aesthetic pleasures these folks bring to bear. Are we shallow? Maybe. But we are having fun!

Fox's Fall Season Scoop

It's the end of summer but things are just starting to heat up...TV-wise, that is. You can tell it's
almost time for the Fall season to start when the gossip and spoiler chatter
intensifies. What's a FOX fan to do? Check out our cheat sheet of course! We've
pulled together all the latest dish on Bones,

Dollhouse,

Fringe,

House and Lie

already brought you up to speed
on Angela's love life, Brennan and Angela's BFF status being challenged and the
potential for some new faces on the FBI side.

That doesn't mean EW's Michael Ausiello doesn't have more to add. First, the season premiere "features a time jump
that's longer than two weeks but less than six months. And an MRI holds the
answer to one of the show's biggest questions." Oh, and series creator Hart
Hanson has this to say about the show's most important romantic relationships: "Angela
and Hodgins belong together every bit as much as Booth and Brennan -- perhaps
more. And they will get there. But it'll be a rough, rough road."

few episodes of Dollhouse's first season, we're practically salivating for the
new fall episodes. E! Online's WWK team

sparks fly between Ballard and Echo? Tahmoh
Penikett says, "They have a connection. It's not a physical
attraction, but I hope it's something that we explore a lot more this season.
You're not quite sure what it is. There's a past, there's a history, there's an
understanding between them that's very different. I think the audience is
really going to like it and be really curious about where we're going in the
first few episodes."

Plus, Sierra and Victor aren't done
with the shower staring, Fran Kranz promises sex and murder, and Eliza says now
that they're shooting in HD, it makes everything seem all the more real.

And, of course there will be new
faces to put a fresh spin on character back stories. Zap2It reports Oscar winner Keith Carradine

businessman Matthew Harding and will somehow be involved with both Adelle's and
Sierra's past. We'd definitely love to know more about how Miss Lonelyhearts
came to be a zombie madam!

To tide you over for the one month
remaining until Dollhouse's Friday, Sept. 25 premiere, we'll leave you with some
Eliza Dushku goodness in the season 2 poster .

tagline. Black leather, big gun, snappy one-liner -- works for us!

Here's the rundown:

Amy Acker will most definitely return in season two of Dollhouse, for at least three episodes, according to EW.com's Michael Ausiello, who heard it from the man himself -- Joss Whedon. We were a bit worried, considering her full time role on the new ABC drama Happy Town, but it looks like the TV gods have been appeased once again (keep up the good work, gods!).

And speaking of Angel alums, Wesley Wyndam-Pryce may have joined the ranks of fallen heroes, but Alexis Denisof will show up as a recurring character this Fall. Too bad he couldn't also bring along wife Alyson Hannigan -- how fun would it be to see Willow unleash her magic on the Dollhouse?

But wait, there's more! The Watch With Kristin crew over at E! Online adds that, if we're good little TV viewers, and everything falls into place, we may also get to see Summer Glau (River Tam on Firefly and most recently Cameron Phillips on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles).

Felicia Day, who appeared in the unaired season one episode "Epitaph One" -- and not only showed up on Buffy, but was one of the stars of Whedon's Emmy-nominated "Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog" -- will have a cameo in the season premiere, according to Matt Mitovich of TVGuide.com.

And, last but not least, he may not be a Whedon veteran (you can't have everything), but we're still all goose-bumpy to hear Battlestar Galactica's Apollo... er, Jamie Bamber, will appear in the season two premiere, according to EW's Michael Ausiello. He's somehow involved in an "engagement" with Echo and Ballard, her new handler.

FOX Sourcies Are Hanging Off a Cliff!

We're back with an exciting, nail-biting cliffhanger in the Sourcies... which we're not going to tell you about right now. First, we're going to give mad props to Ryan O'Neal, who won the Best Villain competition with a commanding lead. Congrats, Ryan!

Now we're heading into the Best Cliffhanger competition. Which of these nerve-wracking unanswered questions are you most eager to see resolved? Polls are open until August 4, so get voting!

    House
House checks himself into the loony bin
We were thrilled when Cuddy and House finally got together - and got it on - but of course, all was not as it seemed. House hallucinated that particular pairing, and that was the evidence he need to prove that yes, something is seriously wrong, and yes, he needs help. House does the unthinkable: he checks himself into a psychiatric ward with Wilson's help. No one else knows what he's done, and no one can tell how it will change him. Will he be cured next season? Happy? Nice? Or will he still be seeing Amber, spitting venom, and being the House we know so well? And if he is cured, what will that do to the show? We're just going to have to wait and see...

    Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Back to the Future
Here's a cliffhanger that will just keep us dangling, since the show was (sob!) cancelled. We've got various alternate futures in play - one where Derek is alive, where John's father is alive, where everything we think we know is actually in flux. What kind of world is John in now? Can he get back to our world - and should he? What's going on with Allison and Cameron? So many questions - and, in the ultimate cliffhanger they're never going to get answered.

    Dollhouse
Everything changes
Here's another show that left us with loads of questions - but in this case, we have a shot at finding out the answers. How will Echo deal with having multiple personalities in her head - and how is she able to resist her programming? What kind of havoc will Alpha wreak now that he's on the loose and Echo has rejected him? How will Paul Ballard fit into all of this - has he really bought into the Dollhouse's plan? So many questions -- and we're looking forward to some mind-blowing answers!

    24
Jack is infected
While fighting terrorists, Jack defused a biological weapon that threatened to infect the Eastern Seaboard - but in the process, he himself got dosed with the toxin. The upshot? Jack is doooooooomed! Perhaps. Yes, he's infected with a variant of Mad Cow disease that takes hold quickly and has a 100 percent mortality rate, and yes, he already started showing som syptoms in the last season. But there's a chance an experimental stem-cell treatment, using Kim's genetic material, can cure him - IF Jack will let that happen. Sigh.

    Fringe
Are we in for an interdimensional war?
We finally get an idea of what's causing all the scientific wonkiness in Fringe when we see Walter standing over Peter's grave. That's because our dimension's Peter died as a child, and Walter apparently snatched another dimension's Peter to take his place. Poing! Is this the start of an interdimensional war? Did Peter's absence from that dimension cause all the problems they seem to be having? Is William Bell one of the good guys, or is he scheming for our dimension's downfall? Is he even from our dimension? And what's Olivia's place in all of this? We're counting the days until we find out!

All season long, Dr. Saunders was a calming - if somewhat timid - presence on Dollhouse. But in the last few episodes, we find out that she's not what she seems: Saunders is actually Whiskey, a Doll. Alpha carved up her face because she was the number-one-requested Doll, and he preferred Echo. Then he killed the real Dr. Saunders, and Whiskey took his place. After Cuddy fires House, House discovers that his vivid recollections were just drug-induced hallucinations. That's what finally gets him to admit he needs help. Peter is dead
Fringe
We had dark intimations that something weird happened to Peter when he was a child all season. Walter mentioned an illness, a car crash... and when he talked about the performed on children (including little Olivia), we got worried. But the reality was so much worse - Peter died as a child, but he's still here. Did Walter snatch another version of Peter from an alternate dimension? Is that what kick-started The Pattern - is it part of an inter-dimensional war? Oh, Walter, what have you done - and what's Peter going to do when he finds out?

      R.I. P. Bill Buchanan
24
Tony's betrayal, rehabilitation and bigger betrayal shocked the pants off of use this season, but for our money, the bigger twist was Bill Buchanan's untimely death. Poor Bill had been a behind-the-scenes guy for so long - and he'd survived so much - that it didn't occur to us that he'd be in danger. But this IS 24, and they have a habit of killing off our favorites. So when Juma's men threatened the President in the White House, Bill made the ultimate sacrifice to help defeat him. Oh, Bill....

Oscar winner JonVoight joined 24 as Jonas Hodges, the corrupt, unbalanced CEO and owner of the ficticious security firm Starkwood. Jonas was a traitor, a lunatic and a very bad man - he created a nasty biological weapon, then allied himself with an African warlord to test it on innocent civilians. He wanted to set it off on American soil so he could have an excuse to use his firm to take over the country. But all of these sins weren't what got him in the end. Instead, it was revenge for one single person that he'd killed to cover his tracks. Granted, that person was the President's son, and President Taylor's daughter/Chief of Staff, Olivia, didn't take kindly to the killing. So she hired an assassin to wreak her revenge, yet she didn't tell others in the White House about this. Jonas died in a fiery explosion at the end of the series - and while he was an evil guy, he was a fantastic character, and we were disappointed to see him go.

Bones: Ryan O'Neal as Max Keenan
Ryan has been a regular guest on Bones, playing Brennan's loving father Max Keenan - who also happens to be an unrepentant killer. This year, we saw a different side of Max, as he appeared as a crime boss in the hallucinatory final episode of the season. Even in this new role, Max can't disguise his eternal charm. Everyone loves both Bones and O'Neal, making the pair an unbeatable combination.

    Dollhouse: Alan Tudyk as Alpha
Alpha was a mysterious - and scary - presence throughout the season. We knew he had been an Active, and we knew something had gone terribly wrong, but that's it. So when we finally met him at the end of the season, it was a bit of a shock. First surprise: He carried the imprints of 48 people in his head, thought he was a god, and was comprised of pure insanity. Second surprise: He was played by Whedon regular Alan Tudyk - who we'd last seen as the loveable, charming, and utterly harmless Wash on Whedon's previous show, Firefly. What a change!

Family Guy: Lauren Conrad as Lauren Conrad
Even if you don't watch The Hills, you know you've got an opinion on Lauren Conrad. Well, so did Brian - but he ended up in bed with her after a drunken escapade, where he spent time mourning the marriage of his one true love, the dim but delightful Jillian (voiced by Drew Barrymore!). But Brian - and the audience - was in for a surprise - this Lauren is brainy, cultured and utterly unlike what you'd expect from someone who is famous for being famous. We loved that Lauren played against type and had fun with her image - and made herself the love interest for a dog!

So Fringe fans were all aflutter when we found out that Nimoy would be playing the mysterious William Bell, the man who may or may not have set The Pattern loose on an unsuspecting world. Because he's Nimoy, he doesn't have to say or do anything. He's just that cool. But is Bell using all of humanity as guinea pigs in his fiendish experiments, or have his ideas been corrupted? He's the lynchpin, the man in the shadows, the one who may be able to answer everything - and he's LEONARD. NIMOY! Eeeeeee!

The Sourcies Are Still Reeling from These OMG Moments!

We can hardly count the number of times we needed to pick our jaws off the floor this season on FOX -- there were so many OMG! moments to make us do a double-triple-quadruple take and goggle at the screen. Which was the most shocking? Well, that's for you to decide!

24: Tony Almeida is a bad guy!
In a season full of shocks and heart-breaking moments, this may have been the one that topped them all. We were worried when we saw Tony working with the bad guys, but were reassured when Chloe and Bill vouched for him. Of course! He went astray, but now he's undercover trying to bring the evildoers down! But things seemed hinky with him throughout the season. Finally, we got irrefutable evidence that Tony had crossed over to the eeeeeeevil side when he killed a helpless Agent Moss -- just as the guy was starting to grow on us! What's more, he killed Larry in them most up-close and personal way possible, looking into his eyes as he smothered him with his bare hands. We don't know if there's any way to redeem Tony now...

Bones: Booth has amnesia!
For the past four seasons, we've watched Booth and Brennan dance around their feelings for each other. This season, it started looking the they'd finally figure things out. Gordon teased us with the fact that one of the pair was keenly aware of their attraction. We assumed it was Booth. In the finale, it looked like Brennan was coming around -- the story she seemed to be writing imagined a happy relationship between the two. Then Booth woke up, apparently recovered from surgery for his benign brain tumor. The good news -- he's doing fine. The bad news? He doesn't remember Brennan at all. Poing!

Dollhouse: Alpha returns and tries to imprint Echo!
The Dollhouse was the site of all sorts of strange behavior and questionable characters -- none more so than Alpha, the Doll who was supposed to be long gone. First off, he's played by Alan Tudyk, who we still think of as lovable, goofy Wash -- so when he turned into a psycho killer with 40-odd personalities, that took us aback. Then he decided that all the people in his head made him a god -- and he wanted Echo to join him in divinity. Echo gets all the people loaded into her head, but declines to join Alpha in his craziness. She saves her personality disc and willingly goes back to the Dollhouse -- but she remembers much more than everyone thinks. All OMG worthy, but the biggest -- and most welcome --shock? That Dollhouse is coming back so we'll get to see how this all plays out!

Fringe: Olivia follows Bell to another dimension!
Fringe was another show full of shocking twists and turns, but one of the most visceral shocks came at the very end of the season finale. After stopping Mr. Jones, Olivia finally gets her audience with William Bell -- who, Nina Sharp keeps telling her, is out of the office. She's not kidding -- Olivia tries to meet Nina for lunch, and is stood up. She stomps to the elevator, and things... flicker. Change. People appear and disappear. The elevator doors open, and a woman ushers Olivia into an office. William Bell is waiting for her. The camera pans back from Olivia and Bell, and zooms out the window. It keeps panning back, further and further... and we realize that Bell's office is in the World Trade Center. Which is still standing. It's a classic sci-fi shock move, akin to finding the Statue of Liberty buried in the sand. Wow.

House: When is a lipstick not a lipstick?
Fans were squealing with glee when House and Cuddy hooked up at the end of the penultimate episode. But in the finale, something was off. Cuddy was seriously upset with House, and House couldn't figure out why. He kept playing with the lipstick he'd picked up at her place, worryig it in his hands, flipping it over and over. It was a talisman for what had happened -- and it wasn't real. Huddy never happened. House spat out an unforgivable insult to Cuddy and her adopted child, and she kicked him out. There was not hooking up. There was no lipstick. House has been playing with yet another Vicodin pill bottle this whole time. When he sees how far astray his mind as been leading him, House admits that something needs to be done. Wilson drives him to a mental hospital -- and House checks himself in for treatment.

Find Out When Your Favorite Shows Are Starting on FOX

Counting down the days until your favorite shows come back to FOX? Well, now we've got a date to count down to! The network released its Fall premiere dates, and we're busy marking out calendars. Here's the scoop:

Can't get enough of So You Think You Can Dance? Well, when this season is done, you won't have long to wait for the next one! Season 6 of SYTYCD premieres Weds., Sept. 16. That's followed by the fall premiere of Glee -- get your pitch pipes ready!

September 17 sees the return of Bones and Fringe. We're thrilled to see these two shows paired up (sexy FBI agents and fascinating scientists for everyone!), but we admit to being a little queasy at the thought of so many decayed corpses/buckets of maggots/bizarre creatures/freaks of science in one concentrated block.

We're slightly less convinced abouth the next gathering of shows. The new comedy Brothers begins on Friday, Sept. 18. It's paired with the season premiere of 'Til Death. Two sitcoms together? So far, so good. But those shows are followed by Dollhouse, which... well, one of these things is not like the other. We hope Dollhouse survived the cognative whiplash that comes from that particular part of the lineup.

House gets its two-hour season premiere on Monday, Sept. 21. The next week, Lie to Me settles into its post-House berth. Two misanthropic men of science on one night! Be still our hearts.

Animation Domination returns on Sunday, Sept. 27 with all new eps of The Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad. Plus The Cleveland Show gets it's series premiere. We can't wait!

Rounding out the new shows, The Wanda Sykes Show is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, Nov. 7. We're really looking forward to seeing what Wanda does to the late night landscape.

So that's the sched. Thoughts? What are you most looking forward to? Talk about it in the comments!

It's official! We now have the FOX Network TV

schedule for 2009-2010, so let the discussion begin!

First, the good news: Some of our favorite shows are

returning. Fringe and Lie to Me, the two strongest

freshman series, continue to see the network love,

as we already knew. Lie to Me moves to Monday night,

following House. It's a night of prickly,

insulting-yet-adorable geniuses with parental issues

and complicated love lives! Just imagine a crossover

between those shows -- Lightman as patient, picking

up every lie that House and his minions told, or

House trying to diagnose weird medical reasons

Loker's pathological honesty.

We get two different takes on the FBI on Thursday,

as Fringe jumps nights to follow Bones. Twice the

horrific corpse effects, twice the fun! Could Booth

and Brennan's will they/won't they dance be part of

The Pattern? Will Brennan ever be called in to

identify some particularly gnarly remains that

Olivia, Walter and Peter stumble over? We know, it's

unlikely, but this is the sort of thing that keeps

us up at night. We need help.

Find out the fate of Dollhouse, Terminator, So You Think You Can Dance and more after the jump!

DOLLHOUSE: Conversations With Myself

Echo/Caroline gives new meaning to the phrase "talking to yourself" on the season finale of Dollhouse!

WARNING: This episode is very twisty and confusing, so pay attention!

Victor is being tended to after Alpha carved him up last week. DeWitt explains to Ballard that Alpha was an active til last year when a "technological anomaly" caused him to snap.

We eventually learn the Alpha backstory: While fulfilling a "young, doomed hick couple on the run crime spree" fantasy for a guy named Lars, Alpha (programmed as "Bobby") and an active named Whiskey (who, it turns out, we know as Dr. Saunders! Her hick name is Crystal) sort of go off mission and tie Lars to a chair in an abandoned building and torture him while they make out. Lars eventually spills the beans on the whole "you're not real" thing, but just before Alpha kills Lars the Dollhouse police break in and take Alpha and Whiskey back to the Dollhouse for a treatment.

Once there, the (real?) Dr. Saunders -- who is an older male -- fusses over Whiskey (who is the Dr. Saunders we know -- do you see why we told you to pay attention?), the universally acknowledged #1 and most-requested active, and prescribes rest. Meanwhile, Alpha sees Caroline getting the introductory Dollhouse tour/sales pitch from DeWitt and immediately fixates on her. Caroline says she feels like she's going to the gallows, but DeWitt reassures her that the five years will only seem like an instant to her.

Dollhouse Exclusive: Joss and the Dolls on the Season's End

Dollhouse fans, have we got a treat for you! We know you're waiting with baited breath for the finale, and we've got the word from some of the principle players!

First, series mastermind and all-around evil genius Joss Whedon gives us some hints of what we can expect tonight. The words "mind-bending," "twisted," "pain" and "through the wringer" come up. We expect nothing less from Joss!

Then, we talk to the Dolls themselves. Eliza Dushku talks about the episodes she loved, drops the name of a movie that gets us thinking, and speculates on what paths season two would follow -- if we get a season two!

We've got Dichen Lachman and Miracle Laurie after the break!
