FOX Fans: Defend the Hottness Honor of Your Favorite Stars!

Have you been itching for a chance to show your devotion to your favorite FOX characters? Now you have not one but two chances to do just that!

The fine folks at KDVR in Denver are hosting a Battle of the FOX Hotties as we speak. Right now, the Women's bracket is up, but you can still vote in the Men's bracket as well. The second phase of the Men's competition launches Friday, and the second round of Women's matches goes up on Tuesday, February 18 -- so get voting!

Then there's an all networks battle to the death over at the South Florida Sun Sentinel, where CW stars are going up against the juggernauts from the other four broadcast networks. The Bad Boys division (which includes Puck and Peter Bishop -- and Puck is currently losing) is already off the front page, but you can still vote. Keep checking this page throughout the next month to support your fave stars!

* We know, we know -- there are those among you who sneer at such things, who protest that we should focus on the content of the shows and the nuances of the acting rather than the exterior facade of the people who bring our favorite characters to life. And we like to think we do that here... but that doesn't stop us from being able to celebrate the aesthetic pleasures these folks bring to bear. Are we shallow? Maybe. But we are having fun!

It's the end of summer but things are just starting to heat up...TV-wise, that is. You can tell it's almost time for the Fall season to start when the gossip and spoiler chatter intensifies. What's a FOX fan to do? Check out our cheat sheet of course! We've pulled together all the latest dish on Bones, Dollhouse, Fringe, House and Lie to Me in one convenient, byte-size package. Spoilerphobes -- you may want to avert your eyes. Everyone else: Read on!

We've already brought you up to speed on Angela's love life, Brennan and Angela's BFF status being challenged and the potential for some new faces on the FBI side.

That doesn't mean EW's Michael Ausiello doesn't have more to add. First, the season premiere "features a time jump that's longer than two weeks but less than six months. And an MRI holds the answer to one of the show's biggest questions." Oh, and series creator Hart Hanson has this to say about the show's most important romantic relationships: "Angela and Hodgins belong together every bit as much as Booth and Brennan -- perhaps more. And they will get there. But it'll be a rough, rough road."

A Bones/Lie to Me Crossover? Do Tell...

We knew something weird was going on last season when Booth went from hallucinating famous hockey players and dead soldiers to conversing with Family Guy's Stewie Griffin - and sure enough, it turned out to be a brain tumor.

This Fall, not only will Brennan's love (aw, c'mon, we all know she's googly-eyed about the guy) be on the mend from surgery, but the dynamic duo may be participating in some fun and games with the Lightman Group. That's right, EW's Michael Ausiello reports that sources confirm a crossover between Bones and Lie to Me is a distinct possibility.

It's early on in the planning stages, but that doesn't mean we can't beg the TV gods for it to happen. Or do you disagree? Is a crossover a good or bad idea? State your opinion in the comments!

We're back with more from the FOX Sourcies! Today, we're asking you to determine your Favorite Scientist on FOX. Will it be ther transdimmensional pioneer, the personality plumber, the bug-and-slime guy, the master diagnostician, or the human lie detector? Your votes decide!

Walter Bishop Fringe A modern-day mad scientist, Walter created a devices that bend time and space -- among other things! Plus, he can find an explanation for everything from giant cold organisms to brainwave transference. Also, he brought a cow!		Topher Brink Dollhouse OK, so he may inhabit an ethical gray area, but you can't deny his scientific chops. He's the one who oversees the personality transfers on the Dolls -- and he has a drawer of unacceptable starches!

Jack Hodgins Bones How can you not love a man who takes such pleasure in mold and bugs and ick? Plus, he's always willing to prove scientific concepts by catapulting frozen turkeys or detonating watermelon.		Gregory House House Yes, he's cranky, manipulative, socially unacceptable, and a Vicodin addict, but if you're really sick, you want House on your case. Just realize he may almost kill you a few times before he figures everything out.

Find Out When Your Favorite Shows Are Starting on FOX

Counting down the days until your favorite shows come back to FOX? Well, now we've got a date to count down to! The network released its Fall premiere dates, and we're busy marking out calendars. Here's the scoop:

Can't get enough of So You Think You Can Dance? Well, when this season is done, you won't have long to wait for the next one! Season 6 of SYTYCD premieres Weds., Sept. 16. That's followed by the fall premiere of Glee -- get your pitch pipes ready!

September 17 sees the return of Bones and Fringe. We're thrilled to see these two shows paired up (sexy FBI agents and fascinating scientists for everyone!), but we admit to being a little queasy at the thought of so many decayed corpses/buckets of maggots/bizarre creatures/freaks of science in one concentrated block.

We're slightly less convinced abouth the next gathering of shows. The new comedy Brothers begins on Friday, Sept. 18. It's paired with the season premiere of 'Til Death. Two sitcoms together? So far, so good. But those shows are followed by Dollhouse, which... well, one of these things is not like the other. We hope Dollhouse survived the cognative whiplash that comes from that particular part of the lineup.

House gets its two-hour season premiere on Monday, Sept. 21. The next week, Lie to Me settles into its post-House berth. Two misanthropic men of science on one night! Be still our hearts.

Animation Domination returns on Sunday, Sept. 27 with all new eps of The Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad. Plus The Cleveland Show gets it's series premiere. We can't wait!

Rounding out the new shows, The Wanda Sykes Show is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, Nov. 7. We're really looking forward to seeing what Wanda does to the late night landscape.

Returning shows on FOX: Get the Scoop on Fringe, Lie to Me, Dollhouse, Terminator, SYTYCD and More!

It's official! We now have the FOX Network TV schedule for 2009-2010, so let the discussion begin!

First, the good news: Some of our favorite shows are returning. Fringe and Lie to Me, the two strongest freshman series, continue to see the network love, as we already knew. Lie to Me moves to Monday night, following House. It's a night of prickly, insulting-yet-adorable geniuses with parental issues and complicated love lives! Just imagine a crossover between those shows -- Lightman as patient, picking up every lie that House and his minions told, or House trying to diagnose weird medical reasons Loker's pathological honesty.

We get two different takes on the FBI on Thursday, as Fringe jumps nights to follow Bones. Twice the horrific corpse effects, twice the fun! Could Booth and Brennan's will they/won't they dance be part of The Pattern? Will Brennan ever be called in to identify some particularly gnarly remains that Olivia, Walter and Peter stumble over? We know, it's unlikely, but this is the sort of thing that keeps us up at night. We need help.

Lie to Me Finale

On the season finale of Lie To Me, there were explosions, tears, terrorists and twists. What more could we want? Oh yeah, a love triangle of course. Well, now we've got one of those, too. The Lightman group saves the DC area from a series of terrorist bombs, but mostly dismantles itself in the process. Gotta love these season ending episodes.

Lie to Me Finale: The Cast Speaks!

The Lightman group has uncovered countless fibs and whoppers on Lie to Me -- and now we get the stars to uncover hints about the season finale! We caught up with the cast on set and asked them about their characters, their storylines, and what we can expect from tonight's season ender. Are they telling the truth? Watch their faces and judge for yourself!

Tim Roth tells us how he deals with all the things he learns as Cal Lightman -- and where he puts his lie-detector skills to good use! Then he tells us about his favorite episodes, and the guest stars he's loved working with.

Monica Raymund tells us what it's like for Torres to be the "Natural" in the office -- and reveals whether she's got similar lie-detecting skills. She also shares what she's gleaned about a certain competition judge from his inadvertent movements. We have to say, we totally buy her theory!

Wow. Best episode so far! There were some great moments in Lie To Me this week where the actors showed what they can really do. Cal Lightman was screaming in fury, Gillian Foster was sobbing on the ground, and The New Girl was breaking all the rules. TMI-Boy, who was busted down to unpaid intern last week even had some very funny lines, though he was definitely not the focus. We thought it was good of him to show up for work, though we wonder how he's paying the rent.

There was only one problem with this episode - and it's something we've noticed on Lie To Me before. See what we mean after the jump. First, vote in our poll!

Lie To Me, Won't You Please?

This week on Lie To Me, the ghosts of episodes past come back to haunt us. Perhaps that's why we liked it so much. The unifying theme was all about loyalty and the place of lies and trust in relationships. There were a couple of nice twists, some people got the serious smackdown for being jerks, and there were even terrorist -- or suspected terrorist. How could we not love it?

This week on Lie To Me, Dr. Lightman gets the girl! Sorta. Kinda. Maybe. Well, it's a bit confusing, We know he got naked with his ex-wife, and we know he has some pretty interesting tattoos going on, but we thought she was engaged to someone else. Was she just using poor little sappy Cal? Yeah, we didn't think that sounded right either.

Lie to Me, FEMA

We have to admit, we like the idea of bringing in magical "deception experts" when the fingerpointing starts after a local disaster. That's what happened on Lie to Me this week. Dr. Lightman and Foster were there to figure out who's lying when nobody wants to take responsibility. A new building under construction collapsed. What exactly happened? Who's fault is it? Why is the rescue effort taking so long? Yeah, it's all about the lies.

Lie To Me Sadly

Ok, no one told us this episode of Lie To Me was going to be so saaad! We had to reach for the tissues there at the end. Sheesh. Sure, the whole episode was about cheery topics like suicide, cancer, and making illegal immigrants live in squalor, but the end was just heart breaking.

And TMI-Boy! It was bad enough that his overt honesty was messing up the investigation, but then he turns around and stabs everyone in the back -- just to punish one woman? Oh, TMI-Boy, how we loved thee. We'll miss you so, when you've gotten yourself fired from the Lightman Institute. (But we hope you have a lovely movie career or wherever you're going next.)

Lie To Me, I Trust You

This week on Lie to Me it's all about trust. Cal Lightman trusts his college friend, Foster (when did they decide to stop calling her Gillian?) doesn't trust the government, and The New Girl doesn't trust anyone. Maybe Too Much Information Boy has no trust issues. He only had about three lines this week.

Lie To Me, This is Serious

So, this week on Lie To Me there were NO LAUGHS ALLOWED. I mean, seriously. Not one funny moment in the whole hour. I guess this is okay now and then. I mean, it's nice to see Dr. Lightman being kind to his coworkers and bullying his clients instead of the other way around, but there had better be some giggles on the menu next week.

In all seriousness, we think this was the best episode of the season so far. Everyone just gelled really well with each other, and although the storylines were far from innovative, at least the path to the predictable ending was interesting to watch.
