Five advantages to smoking....
1. You'll have fewer dental bills - smoking damages your gums so your teeth will rot and fall out eliminating the need to go to the dentist.
2. You don't have to save for retirement - chances are slim to nil you'll live that long.
3. Smoking will help you stay slim - while that is a myth, the many cancers caused by smoking are very slenderizing.
4. Your expensive habit will make others rich - the tobacco companies, the lawyers on both sides in the constant legal battles, the government and taxes it collects from smokers and the tobacco/cigarette industry, etc.
5. No need to wait until you're old for wrinkles and coarse skin - smoking causes premature aging.
These are only five of the many benefits derived from smoking. I bet you can think of many others, and I hope you will share them.

And there are other advantagess. Smokers get more "alone" time since most people don't like the smell of cigarette smoke. Smokers get quieter, more exclusive tables in restaurants ~ of course, the tables may be on the sidewalk but while there the smoker can observe the Parade of Man pass by. And the smoker's Significant Other will benefit by being able to collect the life insurance earlier.

Great info. While I agree with #3 being a myth, I'd like to point out that it isn't if you should develope oral cancer from smoking and wind up on a diet of liquids.

I was a smoker for at least a million years. The only time I got fresh air is when I went outside to smoke. I loved smoking - I would wake up in the middle of the night and had to smoke. One day during one of my acupuncture sessions-I inquired about stopping-he said do you want to stop? No I loved to smoke-what ever he did eight months ago I haven't smoked since.

Maybe your next article should be "Five Advantages to a High Fat Diet". You know what they say "write what you know". Another cupcake, honey?

to mary anne: who gave you the rigth to go around calling people fat. She is not fat at all. You know what they say? They say "what goes around comes around." I've never seen anybody write something as rude as you have. Smoking kills, and I know that for a fact. Mary Anne, you should be ashamed of yourself. Most 90% of people die from lung cancer from smoking, the other 10% from second hand smoke. Take this ariticle as a lesson, Mary Anne. I hope making fun of this author, who isnt even fat, makes you laugh , because nobody else is laughing.

Hey Bill,
Why are you so nasty? Mary is upset because her brother recently died from lung cancer caused by smoking! She does not want others to suffer the same fate that he did. Also, she is not your honey. Time for you to learn to be a gentleman!
