Green Cay Wetlands and Nature Center is located at 12800 Hagen Ranch Road,
west of Boynton Beach between Boynton Beach Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue.
The wetlands are open 9am-3pm every Tuesday-Saturday.

The nature center is closed to the public on Sundays and Mondays.
The boardwalk however is open every day of the year, now from 7AM until sunset.

The free guided walks have changed on Tuesdays to 3pm to accommodate
our new hours. The regular scheduled walks on Saturday continue to
be at 9am, 11am, and 1pm.

Green Cay Wetlands and Nature Center is located at 12800 Hagen Ranch Road,

The wetlands are open six days a week, from sunrise to sunset. Building is closed on Mondays. Nature center hours are 1:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. Tuesday through Friday; 8:15 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Saturdays and 1:00 to 4:30 P.M. on Sundays.

On Tuesdays at 4:00 P.M., and on Saturdays at 9:00 and 11:00 A.M. and 1:00 and 3:00 P.M., free guided half-mile tours are offered to visitors.
There are no reservations required.

Green Cay Nature Center is a great refuge for the eyes and the soul.

Palm Beach County Parks

We live in a wonderful area of Florida where there are so many outdoor
activities for children of all ages. Have you been to Daggerwing Nature Center in
Boca Raton? It is located at 11200 Park Access Road, 561 488-9953. There
are boardwalks, nature trails and lots of birds and animals to see.

Visit the Green Cay Nature Center at 12800 Hagen Ranch Road, Boynton Beach,
561 966-7000. Enjoy the boardwalk and visit the exhibits inside. There is
a lovely gift shop, too.

Don't forget the Okeeheelee Nature Center at 7715 Forest Hill Boulevard,
W.Palm Beach 561 233-1400. During the summer there is lots to see and do.

Join Gumbo Limbo Staff and learn about the sea turtles that nest on our beaches, problems they are facing, and what you can do to help. After a talk and a video in the classroom, go over to the beach to see what “Sky Glow” is first hand. If you are lucky, see a loggerhead turtle lay her eggs!

About the Turtle Walk Ticket Sales
Have you joined Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, Inc., upgraded or renewed your membership for 2010? In order to be eligible for the Members-Only Presale for the 2010 Turtle Walks, be sure to join or upgrade by April 30. You cannot become a new member and purchase tickets during the Members-Only Presale (May 1-7). The number of tickets each member is permitted to purchase is dependant on your membership level:

Ticket Limits:
Individual Membership: 2 tickets per member at the presale
Family Memberships: 6 tickets per member at the presale
Contributor Membership: 10 tickets per member at the presale

Members wishing to purchase additional tickets may do so (up to 6 tickets) at the general sale. Tickets must be purchased in person, and you will purchase tickets for a specific date (dates below).

Turtle Walks will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings (9:00 pm - 11:00 pm) May 25 though July 1. This program is for ages 8 and up, and an adult must participate with children under the age of 18. Tickets are $7 each for members and $10 each for non-members.

The Member Presale will begin Saturday, May 1 at 9:00 am and continue through May 7,
or until the allotted tickets are sold out. The General Sale will begin on
Saturday, May 8 at 9:00 am and continue until tickets are sold out.

Payment by Visa or MasterCard will be accepted, as will cash or checks made out to Gumbo Limbo Nature Center. Tickets for Members are $7 each; $10 each for non-members.

After moving to Palm Beach County in the summer 1996, I was spending quite
some time at the nearest "cool" library branch. I discovered that what I
thought I was missing back in New York was even better here in Florida.
Our library system is terrific!

I just received my newest library card. (I actually wore my old one out.) It is
not like the old laminated blue one I had previously owned. This one is
colorful and un-bendable. While I was at it, I also requested a free Sunshine
Library Card, which enables me to use the library at F.A.U. and other
participating libraries. Palm Beach residents can get one by going online to:
www.selflin.org/SunshineCard.

When you visit a local library, browse the C.D.s, D.V.D.s and check out
some of the excellent programs, not just books. There are movies, musical
shows, and lectures for all ages.

I place a hold for books online and renew books, too. The website is:
