Walter (shown in left photo l. to r. with students Jerry Gewirtz and Jack Enoch) has been teaching the lapidary class for the past three years and is assisted by former instructor Dr. Carl Rosen. (Photo below shows Jerry Gewirtz preparing stones for polishing).JerryGewirtzLapidaryClass.jpg

The Lapidary workshop is fully equipped with high speed diamond grinders, grinding and sanding machines, automatic and hand cutting machines, as well as polishing machines and a gem stone saw. Walter maintains an inventory of settings for students to make pendants, earrings, and rings.

“This is a great hobby,” says Walter. “Our students make jewelry for their children, grandchildren and friends who delight in showing their handcrafted jewelry gift and telling everyone about their talented lapidary expert in Florida. Sign up for the July class now and we’ll show you how to make your own jewelry.”
