Hand made Lap Blankets donated to Arden Courts Alzheimer's Assisted Living Facility

Trails Chapter of Brandeis University National Committee eight woman Knitting Group donated nine hand-made lap blankets to the Arden Courts Alzheimer’s Assisted Living Facility in West Delray on January 10.

Program Services Coordinator Marge Mineo (center) and Marcia Teele, Marketing Director (r.) expressed their appreciation to Lucille Mazor, (l.) Trails Knit Group chairperson, Past President of Trails Chapter and a Director of the Florida Region board.

“These colorful hand crafted blankets will be put to good use here,” said Mineo.

“They will keep our wheelchair bound patients comfortable and can be used on some of the beds to keep patients warm,” added Teele. “We appreciate the kindness of the Trails Chapter women.”

Ms. Mazor said, “Our committee is always in need of yarn. In addition to these lap blankets, we knit and crochet baby hats for newborns which we donate to a children’s hospital in the county. If you have yarn you would like to provide, please call 561-496-1733.”
