President Obama Visits Delray Beach

obama.JPGOn October 23, 2012, President Barack Obama visited Delray Beach. Thousands attended this event which took place at the Delray Beach Tennis Center. The President was introduced by Scott Van Duzer, the "pizza shop owner" who is famous for having given Pres. Obama a bear hug and lifting him into the air .

Local leadership including Congressman Ted Deutch, Senator Maria Sachs, Mayor Woodie McDuffie, and former governor Charlie Crist were acknowledged by the President.

The following is a video of the President entering the stage:

The Florida weather was kind to the crowd. The morning was cool to begin with, there were breezes, and it did not warm up until about 10 minutes before the President spoke.

The event was organized and the audience was courteous and polite. Congratulations to Delray Beach and the organizers of the event. The local emergency and law enforcement officers did a terrific job as well.
