Palm Beach County Resolves to Increase Funding for Water projects

PBC%20LOGO.jpgOn October 16, 2012, the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners sent a clear message to the Florida Legislature that Palm Beach County supports increased funding for water projects, alternative water supply, and water infrastructure.

The resolution, which was approved by all commissioners present at the meeting, indicates support for a statewide program providing substantial and long-term funding to enhance regional and local financial capacity to address water resource and water supply development. It also supports the provision for adequate and reliable long-term funding for municipal water infrastructure needs and the funding for alternative water supply development, water quality protection and development, treatment of impaired waters, and comprehensive water supply needs.

The Resolution was forwarded to the Governor, the Secretary of the DEP, and members of the PBC Legislative Delegation.
