Has anyone contacted the Times Ledger? They put out the Bayside Times, Flushing Times and goes all the way up into Long Island. It is not a free paper like the Queens Courier, but I know that alot of people read it and some have a subscription to it that gets delivered every Thursday.Maybe they would be willing to dedicate a page for free. Let me know and I will call them....

If someone could tell me the names of the middle and high schools in the area where Vivi was spotted, I would be willing to call them and ask them to make an anouncement to their students. Most high schools have 2000-3000 students and most middle schools have 1000-2000. These kids are always out and about. If these students were aware of the situation, who to call, and how to react if they saw VIVI (not to chase her), I feel this could only aid the rescue efforts. Plus, a lot of these students speak English, but come from ethnic neighborhoods where limited English is spoken.

If the goal is to get Vivi awareness out there - tell a teenager. They love to talk.

I am a teacher in Florida. We had a stray dog on campus, and by the end of the day, just by word of mouth, we were able to locate the owners.

I agree, Dorene. I'm a middle school teacher and you are right. . .kids will definitely raise the awareness and probably tell their parents. I've found that many of my students really love animals and I bet they would keep their eyes open for Vivi.

BANNERS - How about making some large banners and putting them up at some store fronts(with their permission of course)? That should get people's attention easily.

I know someone has said that whippets usually don't turn around they just keep going straight but is it possible that she could have been just looking for food and then head back to the cemetary.. It just makes me sick to know she was probably in that cemetary all night Sunday and no none saw her

I haven't been able to watch the blog very well this week because of too many jobs and no access to the internet while there. I noticed you need flyers sent...I saw somewhere and can't find now. I've got to go teach a class tonight - but if someone wants to e-mail me the info I'll do my best to have some printed up tomorrow morning and overnighted. I still say put fliers out on cars at grocery stores. Everybody has to go there. And also banks and on the window at the drive thru of banks, drive-thru at fast food restaurants

I sent an e-mail to NYPD, to have them mention Vivi at the briefings in Flushing. I couldn't attach the flyer to the e-mail, so perhaps someone in the area could drop some flyers over there. I will send some more flyers tonight.

Let me know if you still need more searchers. Iwas given the names of Greyhound Rescues in the LI, NY area that could help. I won't contact them unless you need them.

I drove around the area again after work tonight and came home absolutely SICK. Then I saw that Rosa sighted Vivi yesterday..if I'm not mistaken this is the first time one of the searchers has actually seen Vivi and I am really boosted by that

SO happy that Rosa did see her. I agree with the person that said maybe this is her regular routine...maybe she's getting lured by the smell of food in that area and is traveling there in the early AM when it's quieter...let's hope she's not on the move and traveling away from the cemetary.

I think leaving fliers at the schools is a great idea. While I was out posting fliers today a small group of middle schooliers asked for a flier so they would be able to call if they saw her. They also said to foward their hope that she be found soon.
I also think its a good idea to put fliers in businesses around the area. The hardware store on 46th around the corner from the cemetary has posted one, also the garbage truck driver I stopped and the power workers.
My prayers are with Vivi and those who love her so much!

I agree that a file of the Vivi flyer should be posted on the site. Also names, numbers and email addresses of key contact people and which efforts they are coordinating. If this info could be posted right at the top of the page, that would be great. As it is now, it's difficult to find information without browsing the whole blog.

How wonderful it is to see so many people who care. I would be a total freak if one of my dogs was missing.

Beth, I saw your note about the yard signs in the other thread.
I think it's a good idea...I really think those signs would be much more visible and make people turn heads to see one with a dog on it...because they're so used to seeing those with campaign slogans and real estate sales signs and such. Let me know when you talk to Lois. I'm sure there's plenty of money where we could get maybe 200 or so...more if you think we need it.
Problem is I'm not sure how we could write directly on them...they are plastic so I don't think even a sharpie or permanent marker would stick.

the other option would be just to get the metal frames...put two 24x36" posters back to back on those and tape around...and much cheaper to get just the frames...at $.66 a piece for the easy frames and $.98 a piece for the H frames. They could be donated to a rescue group or kept by the local searchers for Vivi to rescue other lost dogs when Vivi is captured.

I *had* to come to the west coast of Maui for the entire day and evenig so I have stopped to check on Vivi at and internet cafe like a crazy person.There are now 4 people who ask about here every day and one said, "that's going to make a great movie>" That's what I'm talking about.
I would think Rosa's heart about stopped when she saw her. My worst fear was we were going to find out we were hot on the track of someone's, say pit bull and would be back to square one. I find that more progress. little by little.

This is for New York only. SOmeone form New York needs to call and let them know this info. I talktd to NYC police that handle the 5 boroughs in that area. They are now aware of her in that area. Weird that they didnt know.....So please someone form NY call them and report the garbage day and to look for Vivi, in or around dumpsters.

Weel it's been about 7 hours of posting today and no Vivi I have posted till my fingers fell off. I have covered the entire area of bowne going the other way in case she goes back, I started all the side block going up to 42nd ave off parsons, I hit every school and church I could find in a 3 mile radius, It felt like I posted 2 miles can't tell you how many blocks I walked this is impossible to do we need people who are willing to take a day off (sick day vacation ,whatever) or 1/2 to get out there and help because we are literally killing ourselves in a tremendous area, there is to much to cover with so few people, These areas need to be walked up and down every block, I've been at this since Friday and am exhausted. I don't mean to sound harsh but this is seriuos, she is gonna get hurt or hit by a car in downdown flushing, it is so congested with cars and apartment buildings. This is the time everyone needs to be out all at once to plaster the crap out of flushing and now we are losing ground she is not 2 hours ahead anymore, she is getting away from us. So please if you can take the time off to help this little girl just do it before she gets so sick she cralws into a place and dies. Please do not be offended by this I just want her to get home since her mommy is here.

I think concentrating on Junior and High schools is the best bet. If Video Production students can create and run a clip of the 'Vivi story' with numbers to call if she is sighted, that would amount to great exposure.

someone I know spoke to Rosa earlier and she didn't mentionseeing Vivi. Can soeone pleae confirm that our Queens Rosa (of Thelma and Louise) DID see her? Atleast I'll sleep a teensy bit better tonight.

I have a flyer done up with the new picture, new numbers but I have no idea how to get it to anyone that needs it! Aaaarrrrggghhhh. I actually came back to work to see if I couldn't "print" some posters to Kinko's and FedEx them to those that need it but so far I can only get "flyers" out of them. Does anyone want me to email them copies of the new flyers? I've got it in Word and a PDF file.

Regarding the surveillance equipment that Laura suggested be bought in the plan she gave Bo, has that been bought and installed. I don't know what type of equipment was bought, but I am hoping they are in place. I would feel better knowing that Laura's plan is being implemented, other than posting flyers and posters which we are already doing. It would make sense to implement the rest of her plan before VIVI's trail runs cold. I know Laura says she can't do anymore, but now that VIVI is on the move, can she come back and verify the sightings in the other areas.

I contacted Iva Kimmelman without knowing that she knows Bo, Jil, and Paul very well. She told me "it is only coincidence" that she heads the New York WRAP (Whippet Rescue and Placement). Perhaps the people who contact the schools could ask if there were any teachers who would like to organize a group of teens to help post flyers. I can imagine an army of teens out there covering every surface with posters. Or students could take flyers back to post on their streets (was this suggested before??). Kids here in Philly have to do "community service" hours. Perhaps some of them could get credit for helping. I know the kids where I work are always asking if they can help me. It seems a shame to waste all that ENERGY!

Can someone please clarify for me the newspapers it will be in tomorrow? Is it the Daily News nad the New York Post? I know I can get those here in CT. I plan to buy them, read the article, and than bombard them with emails or phone calls about the great story and the only reason I bought the papers is because of the write up on Vivi and if they continue to write about her I'll continue to buy the paper. If we all do that, buy and call, they may print more about her at no charge, as their circulation would be way up there for the day.

Someone mentioned Vivi and the pitbulls, that girl can run like heck I think she'll be ok. My springer was attacked tonight by a pitbull mix as we went for a walk, she was on a lead. The dog got one swift kick from me and a face full of Direct Stop, I never leave home without it. Her lip was bleeding but she's ok and tomorrow I'm fileing a police report, I know where the dog lives. I would suggest that all searchers carry something similar if not the same to protect themselves, they are just as much at risk.

Ron, "prayers, friendship, and moral support" are all a huge help. You can't always see the "results" instantly or in the way you'd expect. We're all in different circumstances and everyone has something to contribute

To those of you that have been following the story and are wanting an update:
There was another sighting by a police officer in the area. You can contact me to find out the exact location if interested. I am working long hours and can only go out twice a day before work and after work, but some people are willing to stay out all night with the dog traps which is AWESOME. We need someone with a vehicle that can transport a trap (hopefully with sniffles in it) because my car is tiny and it's doubtful that it will hold anything of that size. If you are willing to volunteer for this purpose, please contact sunnyedaye@yahoo.com. She has been absolutely wonderful at coordinating since i cannot talk on my phone during work hours.

Hi everyone! That is great news that Rosa saw Vivi. I have been energetically travelling to the location last night and there are so many warm places to hide in the cemetery, I'm sure Vivi is definately working at setting up a familiar grounds for herself to create stability and security. If she were to move to another location it would mean great levels of stress, this way staying in that one location she can begin to reduce the excess stress in unknowing anything and anywhere, and begin to establish a place for herself. I'm also sure she is getting things to eat, although the survival stress has her system out on her edges, I sense she feels unattached to anything and is trying to reconnect with something bu tshe's not sure what that is. It would be similar to "nesting" in order to feel a safe place. I will continue to work tonight too, I am glad Jil is there. That will help---I was hoping there would have been live traps at the cemetery last night too, it sounds like they are just getting them there today. But we can only do what we can do. It's great that there is finacial support coming in. I will be holding the energies tonight too and into the morning tommorrow. I will be able to check the blog during the day tommorrow too , I have no appointments. I can feel the fatigue beginning to creep in so that can indicate that Vivi is getting less stressed and beginning to come back in (when stress leaves, it feels alot like fatigue, but it is really relaxing taking place. Stress leaving and everything beginnng to untense.) Let's take the lead and visualize the searchers and Vivi in the same place at the same time and in contact physically (not just visual), but Rosa seeing Vivi today is a great sign that the energies are drawing together and I am very hopeful that we will have Vivi and Jil back together very soon. Well, I'd better check a few more things and get back to the night's travel. I will give extra energy to everyone in NYC on the physical search too. Loving dedication and stamina---what a gang. Gale

ok! I pulled up MapQuest (type in Flushing and you'll get a great map of the cemetery and all the parks she has been seen at. You can zoom in and manipulate it. We have the Clearview Expressway on the East, Northern Blvd to the North, the Long Island Expressway on the South and the Van Wick Expy to the west. There is no way she can cross either one of these major roadway's. The trucks along would scare her (they scare me). It seems that all the schools are located around the areas she has been seen at or in a direction she is likely to turn to. She is in a major area of parks and open spaces. She can come down closer to Bayside and Long Island without having to cross the LIE but she would have to take 46th Ave to 47th Ave to 48th Avenue which would bring her into Bell Blvd and actually that was not far from those apartments she was seen in. How she did it I don't know.... I live very close to that and wish she would stop by my house so I can take her in give her a nice big drink of water, a few bowls of food, a warm bath, a blankie and my couch if she wants it. I could just cry and am having trouble sleeping now...

When did Rosa see vivi because I was there all day and saw Rosa and jil at 5pm and she said nothing to me and I saw Bonnie at 7 and she said nothing to me either They would have called me if they saw her as I was in that area, Which Rosa was it (thelma & louise) or another one

Vivi has to cross dangerous streets every time she steps off a sidewalk...think BIG CITY environment.
In downtown Main St., it can't get much worse...
congested, heavy dangerous traffic and lots of people who I know don't notice dogs and cats that are stray...

This is the reality!! Not nice to hear and very hard to type...this is a bad situation. Also, incredibly hard to post because she can be anywhere and you need a battalion of Marines to post everywhere and then when that's finished, she is sighted a mile away in another area.

I have always felt that we needed tracking dogs to stay here until they caught up with her and someone was holding her...2-3 days is not enough. I feel we are right back to square one again!

Please, don't jump all over me...this is my feeling because I live here...no pretty pictures to paint for everyone who lives elsewhere. This is a bad situation.

Siri, I typed in Flushing New York Veterinarians and got a website with the Vets by city in alphabetical order. I have the Flushing one. I called most of the clinics and hospitals. If you could call the single person practices, that would cover most of the others. I was going some of the other groups tomorrow when they're open. The ones that were still open knew about Vivi and were very willing to help and took the two phone numbers I gave out. There was a whippet owner among them. I also told them to tell their staff and patients. Thanks for helping. Susan

If you go to Google Earth (it is a small program you download) you will see the cemetaries, parks with lots of detail.

I have been looking at it for days and yes, it all depends on how she found her way. The green areas almost connect and to get to the location she was today, she could have used the sidewalks or followed the parks.

Possible she went fom the cemetary to Kissenea park then followed it west cutting through what looks like an apartment complex filling a block to the spot she was seen this morning.

I hope she did it that way. If I were Vivi and scared, I would take that route.

Is the Kissenea lake on Google Earth the same as the duck pond?

If this is where she is hanging out,she found a large green area in a sea of streets and houses. Smart girl.

I think we all learned so much about Flushing and Bayside, we can all get jobs as cab drivers.

About the infrared cameras and traps and other equipment, I am happy no one is talking about it. Wonder how long it would be there undisturbed if the world knew.

Did anyone see Jil on the news tonight? We don't get the NY stations here in the sticks.

I don;t understand how she got all the way to where they said she was I find it hard to belive as I'v been driving that area all day posting, she would have to go back thru kissena park which is very large and cross a main rd to get back to the cemetary unless there is another way to get by using a back street that I havenn't seen

Has anyone called Animal Control? They have experience in this sort of thing. When I mentioned it I was told to hold off becaue they had to ask Honi if it would be alright.

Irene I'm with you. This is about my third post (at least) where I mention that perhaps having the search dogs back would be a good idea. They will provide immediate validation of sightings and searches can use their time more efficiently. I would imagine if we want Laura back then we would have to contact her now. She sounds like she's very busy and I'd prefer not to start all over again with a new pet detective.

I saw Jill on the news. She said she gave up hope on Vivi twice. I hope someone gives her a positive pep talk to help her. I can just imagine, she'd have hope one day and down the next. What an emotional roller coaster ride for her.

Our girl is very smart. Probably what is keeping her alive now.. that and her "Guardian Angel".

IRENE-- my sentiments exactly. I posted the same thing this morning. There is no way Vivi is going to be cornered without tracking dogs--not only the dogs but someone with the proper technical equipment necessary to detect body heat etc. THIS NEEDS TO BE DONE ON A 24 HOUR BASIS AND IT NEEDS TO BE DONE ASAP--IF NOT SOONER!!!!!

Suggested this before, but has anyone contaced the local fire departments about using their infrared devices?

Debbie, I still wonder how much of a verified sighting that was this morning... could be possible that wasn't her. No one gave us much details on this particular sighting.

Interesting that Jil gave up hope...no one here ever gave up hope and we are still at it!

Susan: There was something posted that said it was an Indian gentleman who saw Vivi at 6:00AM today, but did not know anything until he saw a flyer and then he called the number. I think it was Bonnie who got the call and said she could barely understand the man due to a heavy accent. Seems like he waited several hours to make the call, guess he didn't see a flyer for several hours.

I've mentioned the night goggles to detect body heat over an over again when she was in the cemetary. I'm afraid it's to late now if she's in such a closed in space with so many hiding places and distractions. If she's no longer in those open spaces she has many other avenues to get food so I think the traps are no longer viable either. Other than the posters being put up and a whole lotta luck I don't see any other options now. I was hoping the sighting was way off base. I fear for her safety now, this is not good.

Hi everyone. Sunday night I was visualizing media time for TV coverage, and tonight Jil hits the news! Great! And I understand Brian Rosenberg is new to the multidimensional world of alternate views and ways of the world. Oh well, at least he's helping in the way he can. Better he does what he does and I do what I do. I have been finding lost animals and communicating with them for many many years, and also met many doubters of the whole thing. I let them be in their issues of having to learn in their own time. some people just are too stuck in a certain pattern of belief to not be literal and expect things that are not realistic---like giving a man millions of dollars that will never appreciate it, and therefor it will all be gone in no time.
But when we have been focusing our attentions and doing all the visualizations we have been doing and holding the space for Vivi and the searchers and we watch the results unfold, we know our work is having an effect. Oh---and by the way---I have had lottery numbers win---in more that one game. But Brian will have to work out his own financial karma. And if one day it his turn to have his awakening experience he will have it. I wish him well.
I still see Vivi being captured so let's stay focused and keep energetically supporting the efforts of everyone working so hard in the field doing the search and getting the word out. I will be working through the night again tonight and into tommorrow. I will check the blog durin ghte day for I have an open schedule tommorrow. What about grilling in someone's yard that is fenced in where she was sighted recently? and enticing her into a smaller fenced in area? If the traps are questionable (though when an animal's hunger overrides its fear---it will go for the food), maybe there could be a hot dog grilling that could draw her back to the area and even into a trap. Just a thought because there are so many factors we are overriding here too---timing is a biggie. So that is the agenda for tonight---sychronizing searchers and Vivi and an enclosed area (be it trap, arms, snare, fenced yard) so be it successful!

Alright, I need to go to bed now and have nightmares about Vive. I thought that to Irene but than we don't know Vivi like Jill does. She said she was cold and a dog with no body fat has survived this long..she is one tuff dog. In one newspaper article she said she put her summer plans on hold and instead of a wedding she wants a Vivi party. I think she has some confidence back.

Gale thats a great idea...if a person has a portable grill that would certainly draw her I would think.

I have never had the opportunity to talk to Laura about what her recommendations were to Rosa/Tina or Bonnie. Does anyone "know" any of them well enough to call them and ask them what she told them to do? I would guess that Laura would have mentioned to them if/when might be a good time for her to return.

So far, Laura has not returned any of my phone calls.

With all due respect, "grilling" is totally out of the question in the Main Street area. Please, people, picture a crowded street in New Delhi and you won't be too far off the mark!

Also, most of the homes are not gated and do not have fences....where she is now is large apartment complexes with a million people in and out...traffic galore! She could even wander into the subways...I don't even want to go there!

This is not suburbia...no barbecues, no homes with gates and fences...forget it!

She is really in God's hands right now and He will do what is best!

I heard that grilling idea from a few when we knew Vivi was in the cemetery or around... i thought it was a great idea, but no one seemed to pick up on it. Creative thinking can be good in situations like this.

Gale..you said you still see Vivi being captured. Can you elaborate more on what you see? Captured where? How is she captured? How does she look? etc. If you see this you must have some idea...anything around this capture, colors, flags, boxes, streets, lights, etc? Most of what your saying is basic common sense so I'm trying to understand it...as Brian is.

Irene... is there no way she can get out of that really populated area and back to where she was?

People, if all of you who are suggesting "grilling" could see Main Street Flushing, you would realize just how ridiculous that idea is.....

First of all, you would get a ticket from the NYC Police for obstructing sidewalk traffic! There is no room or place for grilling and it is freezing cold here!!!

Susan, she was about a mile and half to two miles away from there this morning. In NYC you can go two blocks and be in a whole nother world.

Again, area around the cemetary is not Mayberry or Wisteria Lane, but better than where she is now.

I am in Linden Hill and that is a quiet, one-family homes, lawns, flowers, etc., but she did not turn in this direction...I kept asking Vivi to come into my yard (which is totally fenced) and SIT!

My area is 2 miles or so from where she is now, but a totally different world (Thank God!).

We have to deal with where she is now and I don't know what to do...it is so impossible! I am so very frightened for her and don't even know how to calm myself down right now...worked at my shelter today and couldn't stop thinking of the situation. I feel totally helpless and miserable.

I know how you're feeling Irene... I know we don't have all the resources we want... and it's frustrating that she has been so close yet we haven't been able to catch her. I hope God has a plan for her and it is to be found and reunited with her family.

Irene, keep looking out your window. It was 5 am when she was seen today she could be in your area or 5 miles away by now.

Is it possible to drop thousands of flyers all at once from a small plane or helicopter or can't we get one into this area??????

In NYC that would considered littering. As far as I can see we've been lucky the police haven't stopped the posters being tacked up all over. In CT it's illegal to put flyers on telephone poles but nobody pushes the issue.

I am still hoping it was not Vivi the man saw...

I saw a double rainbow on my way into work this morning and prayed that it signaled Vivi's safe return to Jil today. I've lit a candle on the candle website that someone referenced a few days ago, and I also have one going at home. Thanks to everyone for their positive thoughts and hard work.

I heard it was a while latter after he saw her that he happened to see a poster then called.
But who knows how close he was to the dog, or if he saw another dog that had brindle markings and just thought it looked like her.

Has anyone heard anything from anyone directly involved in the search? Like the saying goes ...."If tears could build a stairway...."

EVERYBODY...I believe there is some kind of ordinance that prohibits exactly what we are doing,
posting on poles, public property, etc. We try not to do it in front of a police car!!!

I can't imagine what a helicopter would cost and I am sure arrests would be made at that point! Most especially with all the terrorism watches in NYC!

Something being dropped would certainly get more attention than you want to know and lockups to follow!

I have this strange feeling about this ... Talked to a few people tonight about Vivi and we pretty much all agree that we DO NEED LAURA here again , especially if she's leaving that area. We need to stay on top of her and we need Laura for several days not just a weekend. Please don't think I'm giving up , I don't give up but I just have to be realistic and she never turned around at the Airport. That said , I still have a pretty good idea she knows how to get back , obviously she's been getting water from somewhere and yesturday Rosa seen her near a pond. She WILL come back when she's thirsty ! If their are no sightings tomorrow I highly suggest we give Laura a call. We know Laura won't catch Vivi but if she's the only one who can guide us to the area she's in we need her. She's been their for 5 weeks now and like I said earlier this may be something she does daily or just a few times a week, it's not that far . I hope everyone can keep their heads up and just know we will find her. Please keep our fingers crossed! And maybe tomorrow or tonight their will be another sighting. Thank you to all the Volunteers for hanging all the flyers , Vivi will be found BECAUSE of you .

I do not remember who posted it .As far as the sighting The man did not know Vivi was missing until a couple hours later (he must have seen the flyer later).When he described her he said she had color all down her leg. Now this was the other side of her not the picture of her in the flyer. She does have color down the leg.This is what I remember from what I read earlier today . hopefully it is correct. I feel like a few others have said that she is doing a circuit and that her main place to hang out is in the cemetery and the Park. I have spent days on google earth tracking her and it seems like she has made sort of a trail for herself.As far as how she has been seen in the last few days.Some one else worte about this above too. as long as she does not get spooked off of it. Maybe I am just being too wishful. I do not know. I also really wish there were tracking dogs availible to verify the scent.

Terri: NYC is unique in lots of ways because it's such a large and complex city. Now we have the added problem of two terrorist attacks here...the only American city to be hit...so far. Anything and everything can be suspect.

Things that would be possible to help find Vivi in other parts of the country I guess, just aren't feasible here. Probably many of the people who are concerned with Vivi may have been to Manhattan (biggest borough and what most people think of as New York), but the outer boroughs are not as well known. They are really little cities in themselves and really different from each other in some ways.

Queens is complex with many different areas that are different from each other. Bottom line, Vivi is not really "SAFE" anywhere loose here, but if she's in the middle of the downtown Flushing area, it's bad news!

I've asked so many times for everyone to say a prayer for her and I've never meant it more than I do now....this is the time, people.

OK, someone please straighten me out. What exactly is a sight hound. I gather from the comments that they only travel in a straightline and don't back track. Do they travel in a circle? Vivi is the first whippet that I've paid much attention to. I don't see any in our area. I have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I hate to admit it, but I guess I don't know much about whippets other than they run fast and are lean. Can someone tell me more about the breed's characteristics?

Thanks for the clarification. I have a horrible migraine and am having trouble making sense of the info. It's quite clear we are missing the usual day by day instant replays and updates. Everyone is so very concerned about Vivi and saving her life.

Terri whats so uh oh about it ? I think people who have seen Laura work are right on track ! Both Karin Goin and Laura have been a great assistance in this situation we would have no idea where Vivi was w/out those two women and their dogs. Many of us are "desperate" to find Vivi . This is tugging at all our hearts. You don't have to be negative by referring to our thoughts as desperate, we are all good people trying to find this dog.

Toni: The guy who described the markings on her leg was the man who fed her bread according to Kim's comment earlier, not the Indian man who spotted her at 5am today. I also read somewher that Bonnie could barely understand this man. So I am not sure whether this morning's sighting is considered "confirmed."

For what it's worth... strange for me today again in California. I never, ever listen to the radio in my car, as little as I ever drive, but have been lately for some reason, and today, for the fifth straight time when out in my car turning the radio on and surfing the channels, I heard the ancient song (circa 1980) "Whip It". This is a bit weird that I never listen to the radio never, have started to do so, and five times that I have surfed the radio channels have heard a very old song and it's always "Whip It."! One of the repeated lyrics is, "...so Whip It... there's no time to lose... I just want to be with you." (Of course, they are not singing about a Whippet), BUT,I find it really amazing right now that after 26 years this song keeps coming on my radio in California. Gives me chills! Vivi has brindle markings going down the side of her right leg...I noticed that in only one picture I saw of her..most of the pix have her facing to the left so it doesn't show. I think I noticed on the slide show we were looking at couple of weeks ago. It's a good identifier.

Irene...thanks for the details about the city. I'm familiar with NYC, but not in detail. You know, I'm just so frantic too (and a bit incoherent from pain) :-( and all I was thinking about was "what plan of attack didn't we try yet"...and I started thinking air, land, sea, etc. Anyway, big mistake. Alas, you're right. Vivi is in God's hands. I simply don't know how to pray any harder. I pray all the time for our girl. Her Guardian Angel needs to lift her from that dangerous area and I pray that God will light the way.

I went to CT for 2+ days for my daughter's baby shower and was back by mid-Sunday. Cruised around and posted till today when I heard the downtown area which is totally impossible for me. Can't walk distances. When I post in this area, I get in and out of the car to post or park and walk a block and back to the car. I look for Vivi driving very slowly through the areas she's been sighted.

Now, this is truly a disaster...I went through the downtown area almost 3 weeks ago and it was impossible to see anything with the car. Too many people, one-way streets, traffic congestion and in almost 2 hours accomplished nothing.

I have not seen Renee post and don't know. I would guess that between her real world job and trying to search for Vivi, she is tired and has not posted.

I hope all is well with her and we hear from her soon.

Is it time to make a decision about bringing Laura back? Could she or someone on her team be in NY by Thursday or Friday morning? Lois - do we have enough money to have her come back?

I am going to try to call all the high schools in the Flushing area today. I am going to speak to their school counselors and tell them how the students can get community service hours posting Vivi flyers. Then I am going to ask to speak to the Video Production teacher and see if her/his students would like to do a story on Vivi. This would get her picture/situation broadcasted to all the students in the school.

If someone else would like to focus on the middle schools, that would be great.

Morning---at 7am my time 8 am NY time there was a tapping on my office door at the house---as we went to investigate what the tapping was we found a huge, make, wild turkey, with tail feathers in full fan-out, tapping on the window of the door. We were just 2 feet from him on the other side of the window. Now with all the visualizing, prayer, meditations, spirit guides, psychic energy work and holding of the space for Vivi to be captured, this is a WONDERFUL SIGN!!! According to the totum, wild turkey was the medicine of many saints and mystics. To sum up the messages from wild turkey; celebrate if you have received turkey medicine, your virtues are many, you have transcended self. You act and reacton behalf of others. You aspire to help those who need help. You are being given a gift, the gift could be spiritual, material, or even intellectual. The gift may be great or small, but it is never insignificant. You may have won the lottery, or it may be beautiful sunset, or flower (or Vivi finally captured!) . Wild turkey also makes one aware of the very feeling of the spirit of giving growing within you, and wanting to share with others. So wild turkey showing up after a very intense night is a good sign from the "other realm". And the fact that the man that says he saw Vivi yesterday being Indian, that's great too, because there are several Indian guides that I have worked with and much comes from the realm of the deep spiritual magic that makes things materialze in teh physical. I see teh more populated area being a place where, from a simple view of relating comparison, more people---dog show, there is always so hub bub going on at shows, and this may give her (as strange as it may seem) a relating moment of familiarity. I was hoping that Laura was going to stay a few more days to continue the crunch search because there were so many sightings happening, but she must have had othe business to attend to. but now it will take more grouping to keep control over the fear---we need to breath through the fear, because in the center of the dark is the light---purhaps there will be a place Vivi enters and in that way she is contained! there are more of those opportunities with more doors and people---and if the area with more people reflects a dog show that could be an advantage. We need to see how the theif brings the gift, and the liar brings the message we need to listen to. this is how to begin seeing in the shadows and hearing things others do not hear. And if this is part of the "gift" of the wild turkey medicine at this time, then it is a wonderful indication that the entire group is being gifted. This morning I do not feel any panic in the vibrations (only coming from the people fears that Vivi is in a bad area)---Vivi is still in the meditation, prayer, candle vigil energy and therefor moving around because that is what whippets do when awake (if no squeekie chew toys are around)---and if she is running off nervouseness, that helps her comprehend all the stimuli taking place in the ordeal she is going through and that's a good thing to. So if you want to see this as common sense, it's fine, but when asked where Vivi is located---it is not so much exactly "where" one my psychically "see" her---it's to confirm that she is in an area where she can "be seen" and the more important thing is to get the searchers to an area where she psychically has been seen---because, like the visual sighting of an atom---it is like the dog---only being able to see the trail where the dog has been. When working between the worlds of awareness, it is important to rise beyond being too literal because that closes off the abilities---but with a flow between the subtle and physical worlds there is a better chance of bringing the two together for a successfull outcone. That is why I have been working at holding the energies so someone could be in the same place as Vivi and have that divine intervention momoent in the physical.
So where do I see Vivi now? Psychically I see her on the move---I seel square windows, and line of grassy edge along a walk, I still see a fence so I am going to keep cultivating the energies as I have been all along. I have been connecting with Vivi since I heard of the incident at JFK, and at that time I sensed a 50/50 chance of her being captured---I chose to go into the 50% chance that she wil lbe captured, and I have been building that force for many weeks befor contacting the blog---there was so much activity on the ground and everyone had already gotten "psychics" to the area at teh airport, and the pet detectives, so I was not going to add to the situation---I chose to let them do their thing while I kept doing mine---holding onto Vivi and energetically connecting her to her body so she could begin to be seen in the physical and isolate a location where the searchers could get a handle on the situation. That has been done---but the wild turkey medicine also mentions about the issue of why people do things---if it is just for the fame or money then it is not recognized---and that is negative energy---so we know so many are not in that situation---people are giving of so much time, energy, effort, and money to the cause of captureing Vivi. So when the $$ issue began to creep in I was concerned, but said nothing---so we will override that as we have been and if anyone was having any fears of (what if) Vivi were to leave the area, etc, etc, then please reverse the thoughts and get back on track with the situation where she seems to be headed. Remember---it is a gift so we must remain open to the next indication of where she will be captured safe and sound---finally. I will get back.

I have no problem getting the poster here in NH and overnighting them, but I was thinking maybe it would be faster, if you have a printing company you have been regularly dealing with in NYC, if I could phone in my order and pay over the phone. Then you could just go pick up the posters when they are done. Let me know if that sounds feasible. I can make the call myself.

THE ONE WITH PAUL HOLDING HER. YOU CAN GO TO STAPLES, HAVE THEM ENLARGE THE AREA FROM PAUL'S WAIST DOWN TO VIVI, AND ENLARGE IT. THEN, JUST PUT AS BONNIE INSTRUCTED ON THE TOP AND BOTTOM OF THE PICTURE. HANDWRITTEN IS ALL WE HAVE BEEN DOING. PRINTING LARGE POSTERS IS EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE!!!!

Yeah, I have still been taking part on all the weekend searches even when I didn't have a car, but I had to always rely on people to drive me home etc, so it will be great to be self-sufficient once again and now I know I can just jump in my truck anytime and head right out to Flushing if I need to. It's definitely a relief.

THE NYC PARKS DEPT. JUST CAPTURED A COYOTE IN THE MIDDLE CENTRAL PARK (MIDDLE OF BUSY NEW YORK CITY).

HAVE BEEN CHASING THIS COYOTE FOR 4 DAYS, APPARENTLY CAME DOWN FROM WESTCHESTER COUNTY (UNBELIEVEABLE). THEY SURROUNDED IT AND THEN TRANQUILIZED IT WITH A DART AND NOW IT'S PROBABLY GOING TO LIVE AT THE CENTRAL PARK ZOO!

WOW, 4 DAYS TO CATCH HIM AND WE'RE STILL CHASING OUR SMART LITTLE WHIPPET AFTER FIVE WEEKS...
