So sad to read that someone could be so cruel. I was hoping that this would be Vivi's answer to going home at last. My thoughts and prayers are with her owners, I do hope for some sort of closure for them. It's hard not knowing where she is. Vivi, you are so loved, and have been an answer to those out there that have been lost. Being an animal lover myself, I just don't understand people who hurt those who loves us unconditionally. There is hope, lots of hope for Vivi being okay, either free roaming or caught. Of course, I see her as caught and equally good is the idea of her being free roaming, but in either event, the search needs to continue.

Some people have nothing but negativity to post no matter what the subject or updates are on the blog. You know, in looking at past sightings on a map and going back to those dates on the blog as far back as April and May, there is one person who has nothing but negativity to post. Instead of saying what a shame like others and offering other suggestions to help, the ugly head of conspiracy theory is raised again. Maybe you should be working on who killed the Kennedys including JFK Jr.

Offer something constructive and helpful to this lost dog and all others people are trying to help or shut up.

What's your point? obviously she has not left queens now has she? Also did I tell that to you and if i said it who told you, why don't you tell us. If not, then I do believe you should cease and desist from your slanderous/libelous statements. There was just something on the Whippet-L list today about no news in the Gibby search--the whippet lost at the shows in Arizona this last weekend. The bad thing about that place is there's nothing for miles including water. Though I'm sure a dog's nose can detect water from quite a distance.

But the other news in the post was that Mr. Harry Oaks has or will be joining the search for that poor little whippet boy. Let's see what happens in this one maybe or not, Harry will vindicate himself?? Let us see what he turns up there.

The only official opinion on this blog that is acceptable without being called a liar I guess is PP's.

I know I have the backing of two people who have impeccable integrity, Meri-Lou and Lois Baker, and I trust them above and beyond anyone else. I also know there are others out there, such as Irene, who don't think I'm talking about "conspiracy theories." And, at least I've never stooped to having to make up a name to post to the blog, unlike some pp -- I mean people.

As for what Debbie said, to say that what she said is just words in anger is unbelieveable. I have said things in anger that I later regret. But I cannot imagine EVER saying something like Vivi's body will never leave Queens. I can't imagine ever saying something that cruel, heartless and inconsiderate. If you think those are just typical angry words, then God help you all. If you think putting into place a plan to keep Vivi's recovery secret from her owners is just "talk", then shame on all of you. This was supposed to be about getting Vivi back to her owners, not keeping her from them. If you can accept all of that without explanation from the people responsible, that's just heartbreaking.

I was just over at the other thread and I see that earlier today you made a number of incorrect statements regarding Karin Goin's search, yet Karin hasn't even submitted her final report. Plus I wrote a post at 5:31 yesterday which quoted professional published tracker's findings, there was info in that post that made many things clear regarding scents and tracker's conclusions, etc., and yet you've ignored all that factual data and still persist with insinuations.

It seems no matter what information is put on here, instead of processing it with your brain, you run it through your intestine and it comes out poop!

Seems there are some pretty awful people showing their ugly selves in Michigan right now, what with the theft of this poor sweet dog and the traced phone calls. I live outside of Detroit and know that most of us are pretty nice, though!!
Also, anyone have news on Tarik? Last I heard there has been some sightings but nothing for a while...

Going back to Saffie the stolen staffie from the Novi Expo on 11/18: I am told that there are cameras all over the center, inside and out, and I would think that the tapes would have been reviewed after the little dog was reported stolen. Oh, I am so worried for this little girl doggie-wish we would get some good news.

There was a pretty 1 year-old silver Cocker Spaniel whose time had run out at the Memphis Shelter.

The rescue group I met through the doxies was working to get the word out.

Amanda and I were going to go down and rescue her today, but I checked first and she has been adopted. Another baby saved. Sure thought I was going to be owning a Cocker Spaniel soon.

That is great news Kathleen!! I love to hear about these adoptions! So happy for the little girl spaniel and some lucky family now has a new addition to their family.
One day Tinkerbell will have a playmate and you will have another sweetie to love!

I am so convinced that if somehow a lot of these shelter animals could get the love and grooming, more would be adopted. I wish groomers would volunteer time to shelters to groom these poor babies. I think a little grooming would go a long way to helping them.

There is always that "room in the inn" ready for a baby who needs a home. It seems to remain empty, but I know when the right animal comes along and needs Tink and I it will be right there waiting.

This dog was such a beautiful Cocker Spaniel. She was entirely gray/silver. I have never seen one this color before. It was obvious she was full-blooded also.

My Aunt Janie (who I was named after) and my Uncle Ross always had Cockers (usually three), so I grew up around Cockers and loved them always.

Now, no one had better call my sweet B-J a kook or this Southern woman will have to come after them! She, like so many others I have met through this blog, has one of the dearest and kindest hearts I have ever seen. I do not believe Mr. McCann would have made any comments like this. I will ignore this statement.

I've known Mike McCann for over 10 years, and spoke with him during and after both of his trips to NYC. He had nothing but praise for everything that was being done by everyone. If he called anyone a "kook" (which I seriously doubt that he did) it was with affection, and he would be the first one to call himself a "kook" and be proud of it.

If anyone didn't see Mike when he was in NYC, it was because he was out pounding the pavement posting flyers, because that's what he thought the most important work was. He was totally amazed by what was done for Vivi.

This doesn't sound like the "Michael" that Beth was referring to to me. Maybe there's another one?

I don't understand why so ,much anger toward the searches in NY. There is no reason, for it. If someone thought they could do a better job then what was done for VIVI, then they should have come here...

This weekend I e-mailed a lot of rescue groups about this info sent to me by the rescue people I have met. Please pray for this Momma and her 4 pups.

I am awaiting word on whether they have been rescued. I wish I could include the pictures. The pups are so cute, but the poor Momma is so thin from taking care of her babies.

I received a call today from the Dickson (Tennessee) Humane Society that they just received a Starving mama Pit (gorgeous), with 4 newborn puppies. They look to be approx. 1 week old. She is soooo sweet, and a good mama, but look at her ribs and hip bones. THESE PUPPIES WILL NOT SURVIVE IN THIS SHELTER!!!!! The shelter is closed Sun, Mon, and Tues., so they need to get out of there ASAP!!!!!
I will be willing to pay for boarding, if I know that someone can get them, until they can be transported. I absolutely cannot take them. Dickson is an extremely high-kill shelter, and stays full. They have also had to shut it's doors twice this year due to parvo outbreaks. If they did survive disease, they won't have long until they will be euthanized.
I will help in whatever way I can to assist someone, if they will take them soon!!!!! I can get access to the shelter on the days they are closed, if someone can get them before then.
Unfortunately, my vet is closed now until Monday.

I agree about Mike McCann. People can say all sorts of things in a joking or affectionate way. This is one of the pitfalls of emails and blogs , and why I rarely wil put complete faith in a 2nd or 3rd hand statement.

Thank you for including Maureen in the prayers tonight. I will be waiting in the parking lot of the hospital until she's ready to come home and in case of complications. She gets so tense with the Vets and the seizures are brought on by fear so I am worried. But she will get a shot to calm her before they take her in. The only Vet she was good with moved to Arizona. Please keep Maureen in your prayers everyone. She's going in at 12 and will be worked on soon after. Thanks

I would like to post a question without getting attacked. Being from out of town, and trying to get info from this blog is fustrating.
MY question is, Someone posted that there was a scent found at a searchers home,(FACT OR FICTION)? then Diane Tamm was accused, THEN Terri posted and cleared Diane Tamm of this. SO WHAT IS IT? that is what is so fustrating, were the searchers told of this finding, and if so does the person who's home it was found at know she/he is bieng suspected of the scent being at their home? and if they don't know and this is indeed a fact, why arent they being confronted? THIS IS WHAT IS SO CONFUSING about this whole mess, I am not here to accuse any of the searchers, but WHO HAS THE ANSWERS? and can anyone clear any of this up? I feel for the footsoldiers, and if they said anything out of fustration during this whole saga, who can blame them? I have voiced my opinions in the early day's on how fustrating it has been to see complete strangers care and do so much, and not feeling like they were appreciated by the family in their efforts. Harry was the only one with Valerie when he searched around our homes. Rosa was told to park away from the area. In fact she was not told where they were and only recognised a few of our homes. No information was given to Rosa so no one here in New York was told anything. First we heard it was from Terri or was it Beth? We are the wrong ones to ask as we have no clues. Why do you think we would like to see Harry's reports?

No Rosa....not making any assumptions at all based on the caller's location. The call was played for me and she sounded stoned, she slurred her words and paused a lot the way someone who is high on something would do.
As for your plea for someone to clear this up for you.....I know for a fact that many of us are still looking for her. I personally searched for her for 4 hours on Thursday and 7 hours on Friday. Behind the scenes I have been on the phone and in emails with other searchers brainstorming ideas of where she might be, places to post, etc.

So here we are in the holiday season....you know, "peace and goodwill" and all that good stuff. Yet we have stooped to one of the lowest levels yet -- name calling like children, and name calling directed towards the ones who have sacrificed the most for Vivi. Unless you have met and dealt with these incredible people, the NY searchers, you have NO RIGHT to comment and make nasty remarks....your own, or those purportedly said by others. VERY poor form and VERY disappointing. I guess high IQ, Ivy League schools and privileged uprbringing does not insure good manners....how sad. I guess those of us who care selflessly about animals could all be considered "kooks". If so, the more the merrier. And if Michael McCann truly made that comment (which I find hard to believe) then he owes these ladies a public apology, as do those who repeat such statements.

Rosa as far as scents at searchers houses, Harry had a list with all our address, I think Rosa still has it in her truck. He had Rosa drive him all over on Monday, we only found out a few weeks ago. He wanted to go past others houses but Rosa did not have the time, so if they did not go past my house why are people saying
they found a scent in my trunk when my car wasn't even there. Talk about frustration, what was the big secret, you want to search the houses ask, we would open our doors. But to do it this sneaky was low and then not say anything makes you wonder how much searching was done for the money that was paid.

If that was in fact said by Mike McCann it may have been in an entirely different context. If he knew that something he said privately was broadcast publicly he would probably be mortified. You have to be careful who you talk to and know who to trust. All of us had said things privately we would not want here. We are all kooks, that said, and most of us are proud of what that implies.

Rosa, I'm here to set one thing straight, and only one thing. I nor any of the searchers have Vivi. We have become one big, unhappy family. Yes, we have words with each other but nothing like what's happening here. We're all looking forward to the celebration of returning Vivi home safe and sound. Whippet experts have said that she could live out her natural life in Queens. They were totally amazed as the number of parks and cemeteries that we have - you think New York and you think lots and lots of buildings. Ain't so, at least not in this particular area. Heck if we did have her nobody would be out at all hours of the day and night roaming the streets of Queens posting, looking and freezing their behinds off. I happen to live 5 blocks from where there were confirmed scents by two different and totally unrelated teams of search dogs and in the other direction 5 blocks from where she was when she was in the Botanical Gardens and Kissena Park. You might say she was all around me so who knows if she might have walked past my house, took a pee on my lawn, maybe even pooped. Only Vivi knows. Harry told me himself that I was not a suspect but that he did pick up or should I say Valerie picked up a very, ever so faint scent of Vivi. He did not go into the rear of my house which is private property but rather walked around the public sidewalk area. If he picked up a scent by my house chances are he also picked up the same scent all the way up and down the block. Rosa told me that she parked at the other end of the block and didn't realize whose house she was at until she saw the Vivi poster in my door and looked around the area. No big deal that he was there - he was on public property and did not enter private property.

Now, before I get off this blog I want to with everybody, yes everybody a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Wanna hear something wierd. Everytime there has been a sighting or possible sighting of Vivi, it always seems that I get sent to that area right after. When Vivi was in Montefiore, I must have had about six or seven jobs there within two weeks. Same thing when she was in Jamaica and Rego Park.

Well, guess where I'm going today... I'm starting off in Flushing and then I am heading over to Kew Gardens Hills to do a job in a large coop complex that I mentioned on an earlier thread. I haven't done a job in this area in quite a while. I just think it's a wierd coincidence. Of course you know I will have my eyes peeled and will talk with anyone who is around.

I know this is going to be difficult for the blog to "stomach" considering that so many people have thrown their hearts and souls into searching for Vivi, but if you really think about it...why is it surprising to anyone that an investigation would include the searchers? Isn't this the core of the bitterness revolving around the blog?

Some of the talk that was being circulated on the blog and off the blog (via emails or whatever) by a few searchers (and yes, perhaps in the "heat of an angry moment") threw up a bunch of red flags. The investigation merely provided an avenue for "process of elimination" (which, whether you choose to admit it or not included areas other than searchers' neighborhoods). If I'm not mistaken, when the police do an investigation relating to kidnappings (and I'm NOT saying Vivi was "dognapped" - I'm using it as a "what if") - they usually start by investigating family and friends. I'm guessing they don't "tell" these people either - they just do the investigation. It's not personal and it never was personal. If you choose to take it personally, then it is your problem.

Who's to say that a sniffer dog hasn't been to my neighborhood looking for Vivi? If I found out about it at a later date, I might be taken back a little bit (why do they think I may have something to hide) but ultimately, it wouldn't matter. I wouldn't even care if I had donated to the fund that directed the investigator to come to my house. I would trust that whatever needed to be done to find Vivi was being done and if that includes a sniffer dog coming to my house to check things out so be it.

So, at this point there are many different ideas as to where Vivi may be...BUT, we don't know for sure. Each of us has a right to approach how we want to help Vivi moving forward. Just because I may not agree with one particular person's decision on how to proceed doesn't mean that I have a right to shred this person verbally (in the written sense). Can't we all just make an effort to try to be civil?

Did I say anything about Michael McCann? Now who is jumping to conclusions?

I still have Vivi in this house with the women. She's in a back room or maybe a back pantry or something alone but seemingly not too disturbed by it. I ask her where she is - and she says "I don't know," in this rather soft little way.

The house I believe is in New Jersey and down the dirt road - and I think they are there for the holidays.

Comment on hb's post if Vivi had come in heat. I posted on the Beginning of the End blog about the sightings of her in July when people had thought they'd seen her running with a pack of dogs that it could be an indication she had been in heat and these were male dogs. She was never seen with other dogs before. That timeline would put her with pups now around 6-8 weeks give or take a few weeks either way. She would indeed have to care for them longer if on the loose. There would be no one else to take over for her at 8-10 weeks. How long pups would stay with her I'm not sure.

I have trouble thinking though that an entire litter of pups could go unnoticed this long unless there are only 1 or 2 surviving. There is no wilderness in Queens is there? Unless she did go to some abandoned areas somewhere but where would that be.

I think it is important to check vets offices and rescues to see if anyone reported finding very young puppies and how to care for them--stuff like that.

I see we are still rehashing conspiracy. If no one responds to those posts they would go away. She has been saying those things since before confirmed sightings of Vivi have been reported and veirfied by tracking dogs. Can we ignore her?

The women are cooking and laughing at the kitchen table. Vivi can smell the food. She is curled up on a blanket with her pony stuffed animal toy and she is content and happy.

Libby, are you referring to my post with "Can we ignore her?" If you are talking about my post listed above, I was just responding to what Debbie and Diane were talking about - Harry visiting their homes and what was discovered or not discovered.

Update on the pitbull Momma and her 4 pups I posted last night:

"Mom and pups got pulled on Sunday by a lady that could only keep them temp. then along came a lady who wanted to take them permanent and adopt mom. Mom was so precious. Sadly, 2 of the pups were in bad shape and died before Samantha could get them home but the other 2 and mom are totally fine!

OH, forgot to tell you that when the first lady picked up mom and pups there were 2 other gorgeous pits at the shelter. They are getting vetted today and she is going back on Fri. to pick them up! So we saved them all! YAYYYY!!!!"

Thanks God for this wonderful group of ladies who helped these babies. May each of them have a wonderful Thanksgiving and may God bless them.

The woman takes Vivi out for a walk in the back of the house and they walk among trees that are tall and wispy. The sky is gray and damp. Vivi is wearing a red sweater and prances along and in the distance cows moo.

The woman drove Vivi to New Jersey in a black sports car. Vivi was curled up on the front seat. The car is of the hatch back type and seems like a 280 Z, but I don't believe they even make those anymore - seems similar in style though.

Of course the car is a stick shift!

No--I was referring to Beth Thompson and Terri and every time a new post comes on blog with information it is conveniently molded into their conspiracy theory.

That's what I wish people would ignore because it makes searchers and the team feel they have to defend themselves. I personally, and I think 99% of people reading this blog have faith and trust in everyone busting their rear ends to recover or find out what happened to this exquisite little creature and one who is obvously so capable of doing what her breed was originally intended to do.

I think her breeder Bo mentioned in his Dec Dog World article that she is so close to his ideal of a whippet. Looking at the many pictures of her available on the web, no matter what breed of dog you have, or mutts, or whatever, it is easy to agree with his opinion. This is part of the trajedy, that dog breeders work their entire careers for a dog like this, and she is gone through carelessness or a freak accident in handling her. More the trajedy if someone out there anywhere, is keeping her from her rightful place through some personal misguided opinions. I don't mean anyone connected to the search for her either. And I am not convinced myself someone does have her, but just in case.

I just check in these days when I don't have time to watch Jerry Springer. Denise is to be commended for keeping the blog going because of the good that was (and arguably still is) coming out of it, despite all the fighting.

I've watched your transformation over the months from Cynthia Williams, who had a psychic friend that she would consult, to actually posting *as* Cynthia's psychic friend (Cynthia herself stopped posting altogether after the psychic friend took over posting), to CPF, and there was a Linda in there somewhere, and now Sedona. Reading your rantings today, Sedona, I finally figured out who you remind me of: You're like the online version of one of those crazy ladies who wander through bus terminals ranting loudly to themselves, while everyone else gives her a wide berth, holding their children close. In quieter moments, your bus-station alter-egos sit quietly mumbling about things going on in their own heads, like dogs in red sweaters walking among mooing cows.

Anyone can please feel free to jump on me for being mean, or negative, or for posting something that won't help find Vivi. It's not like I don't have plenty of company on the blog today. I just happened by on the wrong day, and I couldn't *not* comment.

To Just passing by: We are trying to encourage peace on this blog and your statemet regarding Sedona is one of the crueler statements I have seen. Please just stop this and scroll right on by her posts if you would. I made the mistake in criticizing her earlier and felt I was inappropriate and apologized. She is not being vindictive or mean, just adding her opinions. She truly cares about Vivi. Lets just move on please.

My comment was just a response to the earlier posting that implied that just because the caller had slurred speech they were using drugs. I just wanted to point out that often disabled or elderly people have slurred speech and it has nothing to do with drug use. Often it is because they have had a stroke. So, to belittle the caller just because of slurred speech seems unfair, to me.

Martha, I don't know what your little comment about slurred typing has to do with the caller, maybe you can explain that? Since you're so smart, that is. But then again, I guess it's okay with all of you to assume that someone with slurred speech is on drugs. I guess I should have realized you'd all see it that way. Typical.

You're right. Police do conduct an investigation. They usually start off by secretly investigating individuals in order to see if there are any red flags, and if there are, the next step is usually questioning the person or persons of interest.

I'm sure that any one of these searchers would be more than willing to cooperate by answering a few questions if they were suspected of anything associated with Vivi's disappearance.

Since this whole Harry thing, there have been so many conspiracy theories going around that it's difficult to even know what was said and what wasn't said or what is fact and what is not fact. People have been unfairly accused and factual information has been grossly distorted through the grapevine. Needless to say, it isn't fair.

These people have been busting their butts out there trying to find Vivi. They have donated their time and money to search for a lost dog out of the goodness of their hearts. Nothing more, nothing less. It's been almost a year of ups and downs and frayed emotions. Things were said in anger and in laughter, both of which couldn't possibly hold water. If someone says something out of frustration it shouldn't be taken literally. I'm sitting here thinking to myself that I feel like serving my family Burger King tomorrow because the last thing I feel like doing is cooking. I'm sitting here relishing the idea of not cooking with absolutely no intentions whatsoever of feeding my family Burger King!! LOL They are going to get the turkey along with all of the trimmings.

There is no question among these searchers who Vivi belongs to. If someone suspects one of the searchers of having Vivi or knowing where Vivi's whereabouts are, then let them get in touch with this person and let's move on, once and for all. The only thing going on here is speculation, and that has never been helpful in proving any case. Surely, any investigator would agree with that.

All of these little digs and jabs are totally uncalled for. It almost seems as though there are a few people on this board who actually KNOW where Vivi is or KNOW what happened to Vivi. They further emphasize this by basically belittling every development whether it be good or bad. It's as if people are being viewed as fools for actually believing such insane lies such as the phone number being another dead end.

The people on this blog have worked too long and too hard and do not deserve this. Just for the record, I'm not trying to pick a fight with you or anyone else for that matter. I'm trying to be constructive here.

AND instead of reaming you a you know what, I simply found humor in it, as I must have scrolled over the post about slurred speech being a sign of drug use!! Why is it okay for someone to imply that slurred speech means drug use -- you didn't jump all over Diane for that one, I noticed, but you jump all over me for noting that slurred speech can be caused by other things. If you will look again, my last few posts prove that I was trying to clarify and be fair about what might be evidence of a disability. The only other post was a response to Martha, which was an appropriate response to her snotty comment. Even when I am even-handed in my posting, you aren't willing to recognize that.

I believe Bea Lydecker was the first AC that Jill contacted. She searched JFK and said Vivi was in one of the buildings. Never proved true. I'm pretty sure I'm correct because i was impressed that Jill was able to get her here so quickly. Hard to believe that was so long ago.Just want to wish EVERYONE and I mean everyone, no matter our disagreements a very happy thanksgiving. Since I'm just about caught up for tomorrow, I'll be hanging around the blog and praying for Vivi.

It says the call was traced to an elderly woman's phone BUT 'It was ascertained that one of the relatives must have made the call.' Don't they teach reading comprehension in Ivy League schools? Even though in my heart I know she is caught, still the report brought me to tears.

I don't really see anything wrong with Sedona posting her visions. Don't read them if you don't like them, or if it's against your religious beliefs or something. I'm not convinced Vivi has been apprehended either but it is always a possibililty. I think the search should go on until something is known for sure one way or another . Thank heavens people are still willing to do that.

An elderly or disabled person would be able to capture an injured whippet with a bad leg. Also, you're assuming the person who called captured her. That isn't necessarily the case.

BTW: Correct me if I am wrong, but you seemed to imply in one of your posts last night that I'm PP. If that's the case, you're mistaken. It should be clear to you by my posts and website that I have never had any compunctions about speaking my mind in my own name. :)

Vivi has been taken by her friend to a Thanksgiving get-together in what I believe to be New Jersey.

I expect they will return to Queens after the holidays.

I am not going to respond to criticism or harsh comments made on the blog anymore no matter what name some person cooks up. Hope everyone here has a Happy Thanksgiving.

I also find nothing offensive in Sedona's visions. There is nothing mean or cruel or nasty and no one is forcing you to read them. If anything, they are more comforting than the other two alternatives. Some of us just prefer to hang on to something. whether it's true or not who knows.

Well said, Margot. I don't believe Vivi is still on the streets. Although I commend all of you who continue to look for her there, I don't think she is still there. There have been no recent sightings that we are aware of, and all scents seem to be several months old, in Karin's opinion. That likely means one of two alternatives. Either Vivi has passed on, or she has been found and recovered. I, too, prefer to believe that she has been found and recovered. I continue to be grateful to anyone who is giving her care and love, no matter what the circumstances.

Secondly: LOL I heard the caller, did you? Nooooo! The woman's voice was young. All of us who heard it said she sounded like she was stoned and it wasn't just the slurring and pauses. You saw my previous post last week on the content of what she said....she was rambling, making contradictory and downright dumb statements.

Sheesh, with all the hot air you've spent on this phone call, they could have used you in Central Park today to blow up the floats for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade tomorrow. :)

I will keep posting the visions - and see what develops. Some visions are symbols and what they mean sometimes takes time to discover. Another AC and I both see the same blond women with Vivi and also the same house and that Vivi is now in New Jersey.

I check with her often to see if we are both on the same "wave length" so to speak.

But as to the tracking comments, those were made from my experience with Moses etc and independent of the visions.

No Miss Ivy League...YOU were assuming for the last week that the caller captured her. All anyone has to do is look back on your previous posts. Now the lawyer is twisting her own words around to weasel out of her own statement. Hot air indeed!

There is no proof that Vivi is dead. There is no proof that Vivi is still on the streets. There is no proof that she is being cared for in someone's home. Where does that leave us all?

I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to hold on to the hope that she is still alive and, until I have 100% proof that she is off the streets, I am going to assume that she's still out there...

You all are unbelieveable. I said one possibility is that the caller was connected to the events that resulted in finding Vivi. I still believe that may be the case. I never said the caller captured her. Why don't you get it right for a change? You all are really out there looking for her, aren't you?

How about saying the caller was "vocally challenged"? This politically correct crap is insane. Multiple people heard the call and all who heard it arrived at the same conclusion - that the caller seemed to be stoned - or if that is offensive, "chemically influenced".

That's funny, because I requested several times to be allowed to either hear the call or read a transcript of the call, and I wasn't allowed to. I know of a couple other people who also made that request and got about as far. How about posting a link to the call so we can all hear it? Then there need be no further discussion about it.

Marther, I'm offended...........haaaaaaaa....

Well this was not a planned Vet visit as I didn't know I was going today until 5:15 last night. So I called all I could think to get transportation and well being less than a day and it being the day before Thanks giving no one could take me. SO I was going to go by train but then Patty downstairs said she could take me as she was going to work and passed the Vet's office. SO we were in there at 9:30 this morning instead of 12. They said they had an hour and a half beofre procedures and could do her right away. They didn't sedate her but masked her and then brought her out of it to go home when finished. Never saw a dog masked down before and wow did she fight it but I kept stayed with my hands on her as they were having difficulty with her fighting. When she was out I left to get something to eat. I left my cell number. I was back by a half hour and five minutes later she was screaming again as they said they can do this as they put them under and as they come out. So I went in and called her. She was pretty tense but when she saw me she recongnized me and you could see the muscles start to relax. Her teeth and giums are healthy so hoping all the plaque caused the bad levels and the correct themselves now. Honi picked us up abou 11:15 and we went to Freeport to search for a Cane Corso. I was just glad we had a ride home eventually. We searched and Fran and Carol went to busineses to give flyers. We went to the sanitation depts and it was learned that one of the men saw the dog dead on the parkway around a sighting the same night. Dept of highway likely picked her up. It was sad but at least they know what happened. We got home abpur 2:45. So all went well and I'm sure Maureen's food tasted better tonight even with the bitter antibiotic and aloe vera in it. She ate ravenously.

Actually, I thought the blonde woman looked like Barbie :-)

I'm normally fine with a lot of Sedona's gleamings. The problem is the ones of Vivi sitting on a bed in a nice warm house with a woman sipping Pinot at her computer, etc., messes with the heads of some of us when we're out there looking for her.

Imagine what it feels like to be out there in cold, wet weather in a bad or desolate area late at night looking for her at construction sites, cemetaries, etc., and suddenly Sedona's images pop into your head? The consequence is you end up wondering if you're wasting you're time and risking your life for nothing, because maybe Sedona is right? You think of the image of the lady with Vivi as alledged by Sedona and you say, heck I'd like to be home nice & warm sipping Pinot with my own dogs, what the hell am I doing out here?
The type of images she keeps hammering us with even have the potential to negatively impact one's motivation to go out and search for her at all......
In emails and in phone calls a few of us have felt that certain images she writes are powerful enough to be detrimental to keeping some of us at it. She doesn't just write a gleaming once....she keeps at it, embellishing it again and again and again non stop.....it's like subliminal hypnosis....and ya can't just always scroll past without some of it hitting ya, you don't see who's posting until the bottom of the post. Understand where I'm coming from now?

You don't think I knew which post you were answering Marhta? I'm not that confused. heheh You are not in trouble with me that's for sure. Relax and take a deep breath. Peace will return for a time.:)

Great news about Maureen. I'm so happy that you were able to get a ride. I'm so sorry that I couldn't help you out. I got home about 1:30, took a break and have been cooking ever since. Right now I'm taking a break between the sweet potatoes and the cauliflower.LOL

Next time, I'll be more than happy to take you. I only cook a few times a year, probably because of all the cooking I do for Thanksgiving!! LOL I need at least 361 days to recuperate!!

Altho those phone calls were unfortunately most likely a prank, I wouldn't totally give up on the one where no one answered until it's been thoroughly investigated. I say this because I live 40 miles west of Detroit ( Ann Arobor area ) and where we'd think everyone would know of Vivi, when I mention her to people no one seems to remember her. And except for right after it happened I haven't heard her mentioned on our news reports. Just a thought. God bless you Vivi.

My visions are just my visions of Vivi. I post them as I get them when I think about Vivi - more like a mediation - during the day. But I have no idea sometimes what they mean or anything else.

I post what I get, right or wrong, good or bad, it is just what I "see".

I have always believed in a rational search by rational people. It has been a difficult time for us all and I do so pray that we will know where Vivi is sometime soon.

I have been gone all day and am just now catching up but I thought Diane K-M's post explaining to Sedona why some of her visions can possibly be a problem for the foot searchers- this coming from a searcher herself- was valid and worthy of discussion. I know Sedona wants what is best for Vivi, and in that I think it could be important to hear that feedback. The web page she had for awhile seemed to work well. That way the searchers can check both here and/or that without that problem. Perhaps that is the compromise. I sure would like to be able to work out these kinds of problems, and staying motivated is a problem, without the noise. So what might be the solution to that problem? It has been recurrent.

I figure that whatever I do, some people aren't happy. So I might as well please myself. It is best to let people vent and not comment. It is difficult to imagine how an image of Vivi being caught will hurt the searchers. And I hope too that people reading this across the US might keep an eye out for the person that has Vivi. One never knows what may help.

But certainly, even if she is caught the postings still need to be continued. Hard to imagine what real harm is being done. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Wasn't Sedona privately posting her visions for awhile to those who wanted to read them? If I were searching for Vivi, it would be hard to get motivated to go out and look with all these postings of her being safe and warm.

Karin's report was a very professional summary of her findings. I personally have serious questions about the accuracy of all of the trackers and the concept of a 3 month old scent. That said and putting myself at risk of the consequences of raisuing very dismal subject but if there was a tracker out there that could guaranteee the results of a death scent search in certain areas...would that help or not. Seems to me that no one who has searched has made any claims about detection os death scents but all have raised the possibility that...it has happened. The tracking dogs that have been employed dont exactly fit my stereotype of a bloodhound with nose toground. At any rate if this terrible outcome could be eliminated in the suspect areas wouldnt that be good? On the other hand if they found a scent then there would umfortunately be closure

SueG, You surprise me. I think you might just be repeating yourself. I got what YOU THINK quite awhile ago. Give it a rest please. Your harping isn't going to make what you want so. I understand your feelings about the visions, I don't agree as you know. I do not mean to fight with you, just telling you how I feel, and perhaps how others feel. I hate the fairy tales as I said many times. Sedoner must please herself as she said and she's important to herself, not to me at all.
I will continue to do what I feel is important to me.

I understand the point you are making. I don't know though if there are any trackers out there that could guaranteee the results of a death scent search? It seems like there is lots to learn regarding this whole area of scent dogs. Having read accounts of scent dogs following a trail that after a few days leads to a dead person, makes me wonder did the dogs react any differently at the point where they went from trailing a live person to getting closer to finding him/her dead? If they did, was it clear enough for the handler to pick up on in advance of the find? I don't know the answer to that.....
All I know is that a few of us have said, had known she'd be out this long, we would have tried training one of our dogs to track, lord knows we could use a scent dog here in NYC!

Nancy at 2:58 - I was the one that posted the link of the pic of the angel with the whippet - I too have gotten things from greyhoundart - I just recently received my picture of "Masters Bed" - it is the copy of the well known picture of the yellow lab laying on his masters bed - only this one is of a greyhound "roaching" on the bed - is beautiful and fits my home to a tee ------ happy Thanksgiving everyone - don't eat too much.

What does "Roaching" mean?

Kathy, unless I'm mistaken, a whippet/greyhound is roaching when they are on their backs with their legs up in the air - Tucker does it all the time...they look pretty cute and very comfortable!

Sharon - Thank you as always for the sweet prayer tonight. I wanted to especially thank you for thanking God for the help with the pitty and the pups. It is a wonderful feeling to know these babies are receiving care and love now.

I heard from Deb Sacco today, and two more of the remaining doxies may be finding homes this weekend. She has some good prospects. She and Donna are making sure these babies go to great families (bless them).

The recent report oon the other post sounds promising. Hope its followed up...

I had a bad reaction to a rain poncho made of 100% EVA. I had to toss it in a waste basket. I took it off on the bus and holding it was making my hands swell. Small hives and itching. Started out in the cemetery with an asthma attack. My throat felt like something was in it. My epi glotis was swollen and red. I had to ask a strange man to drive me to the bus stop. I asked God to help me pick a good person and he did. Poor man lost his wife 18 months ago. I just researched it and it's latex. It detailed all the symptoms I had. My arms even hurt and my ribs chest and back ache. Even got the rash and itch on my legs where the poncho touched when I went to the bathroom. I never use latex anything. I used to use latex paint but never experienced a reaction if I did touch things made of it. Just glad I am not in the hospital. I was able to do much though as I got short of breath so I guess I am ruined for the weekend.:(

I feel better after sleeping as far as the aches and pains go but my insides feel washed up. I only post this as a warning to those that may be sensitive. This was just a thin poncho may in China and I would hate to see the reaction if it was warm. I am surpised it happened with all the cold rain. also glad I figured it out pretty quick and dumped it in the trash. Sorta ruined the rest of mt day though.

Sorry B.J. I hope you see a doctor about this. You probably needed a steroid to stop the asthma attack. I'd look into it, if you haven't already..I hope you do ok today, take care lady! Sounds like a very bad reaction! Do be careful! Get well!

BJ, take some Benadryl it might be of some help to you for the allergy. Sorry you had to go thru that, I hope you feel better soon.

Mama Ruby: Bobo was launched from my Corvette at about 90MPH last tuesday. he took flight on I-80 just North of Penn State.... KAY PROBABLY HAS BOBO********* He was cranky in the car, telling me to slow down so off he went - into the wild blue yonder..... nothing i can't stand more than a overbearing man - BYE BYE, BOBO :) and i'm glad to hear the crew abused you while i was gone. i wouldn't want you to go into shock, my darling :) xoxoxoxoxxoxoxoxo
