The many dog lovers who came together and bonded over a little lost show dog named Vivi are always on the lookout for similar stories. If Westminster's famously wayward whippet did not have a happy ending (at least as far as we know), then perhaps someone else's dog can.
The most recent lost dog, Jeddah, has a story eerily similar to Vivi's. She was lost at Washington's Dulles Airport on July 10. The 4-year-old dog, who looks similar to a Pharaoh or Ibizan hound, was being flown to Saudi Arabia to accompany her soldier-owner on his year-long Middle East assignment. She never made it on to the United Airlines flight.
Like Vivi, Jeddah's story has occasioned much media coverage. Sightings are being called in every day. And her owners have not given up hope.

I hope Jeddah is found. Poor baby
I pray Jeddah is found safe and sound very soon. Reading her story brings back all the heartache we have felt and still experience about Vivi. The airlines don't give a hoot for the lives of beloved furry friends entrusted to them to get them safely to their destinations. Yet they charge more and more and give less and less. Jeddah's story has brought back all the sick pain I felt when Vivi first went missing. May their miracles be next.
Man, when my dog escapes from me (and yes they can be Houdini like). It scares the bejeeves out of me. Luckily I've always been able to find mine. I know all the emotions they are going through with the loss of their 'family member'. How sad. I only hope she is found and in good condition.
