We asked the Clinton campaign the obvious question: Does she support Eliot Spitzer's driver's license plan?

Howard Wolfson sent back the following statement, which signals her moral support for the embattled gov — but remains opaque on her actual position vis-a-vis his plan: "Senator Clinton supports governors like Governor Spitzer who believe they need such a measure to deal with the crisis caused by this administration's failure to pass comprehensive immigration reform. As President, her goal will be to pass comprehensive immigration reform that would make this unnecessary."
