"Mind taking a look at this, Mike?"

Turns out Mayor Michael Bloomberg got a sneak peek at Sen. Barack Obama's speech on the economy at Cooper Union Thursday morning. Obama aides said the Illinois senator called the billionaire mayor Wednesday afternoon, asking him to look over the speech and introduce him.

No word on whether the mayor suggested any revisions, but the one time independent presidential hopeful did make a point of reminding the audience -- and Obama -- that he hasn't chosen a candidate yet.

"As you know, I have not yet endorsed a candidate for president but I've been very clear in my hope that all the candidates will explain in detail how they will address the great challenges facing our country," Bloomberg told the audience.

Obama, meanwhile, made a joke about a breakfast the two shared at an upper east side coffee shop last November - a meal the senator paid for.

"The reason I bought breakfast is because I expect payback for something more expensive, " obama said. "I'm no dummy."

Obama has three network interviews - CBS, ABC and CNBC - and four fundraisers Thursday before he heads to Pennsylvania for a six-day bus tour.
