Maybe Gov. Paterson wasn't amused by the Letterman spoof last night. Maybe he read the advise telling him to start acting like a governor. In any event, he waves off more Qs today about his personal life:
"I think that more than any elected official on this planet, and probably in outer space, I have discussed my personal situation over the last week. And the reason I did it is that I felt since I was not vetted as a governor ... I gave what I thought was the media and the citizens of New York an idea of what I wanted to do as governor and I also gave them an idea about some issues that I thought I needed to present to the public. But I think I've answered all those questions."

I find it amazing that Mr. Paterson now believes that he has “answered all those questions” that he thinks the public needs to know about his marital and extramarital life.
Mr. Paterson, you were the one whom first opened up this can of worms. Hence, you are not the one who will decide if these matters are closed.
It has become obvious in the last couple of weeks that Mr. Paterson is sorely out of his league. It seems every time he opens up his mouth another bizarre revelation/statement occurs.
From what I know, I do not believe that there are any politicians in outer space. There are astronauts, but not politicians. Well, actually I kind of am coming around to the conclusion that Mr. Paterson has been in outer space most of his life. The stuff he smoked/inhaled in his twenties has really seemed to affect him.
Mr. Patterson has become a real embarrassment to the state. NY Dems are in for a real disaster if he is at the top of the ticket in 2010.
Look for many top Dems to look at Andy Cuomo to run against a very weakened Paterson in the Primary. I would also not be surprised if Paterson, looking at the writing on the wall decides not to run in 2010 (even though he has indicated that he does intend to run).
