One of the familiar faces, or voices, of the McCain campaign is getting to be foreign policy advisor Randy Scheunemann, who seems to be blasting Obama for this or that every day.
Yesterday, he attacked Obama's views on Guantanamo, and this morning he's been on a conference call with Rudy Giuliani, continuing to criticize the Democrat for a fuzzyheaded approach to terrorism.
Who is he? The Washington Post sketches out his background here. Turns out, he was a big player in The Committee for the Liberation of Iraq, a pre-war PR group that was formed to build public support for invading Iraq (i.e. sell the war).
So, he joins the long list of people whose wide-eyed enthusiasm for completely discredited intelligence and a fairly discredited foreign policy adventure has not dimmed one iota their belief in their capacity to tell the rest of us what we should do in the future.
