I want to thank you all for supporting my unsuccesful bid to sing the 7th Inning Stretch. Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to sign my online petition. In the end, 962 of you joined the fight- that's 962 people spurned by the Cubs.
I'd like to see them sell out games now, after Frank Sanbeans and Brock Lee cancel their season tickets!
I'm sure many of you are angry about this decision, and I only wish I shared in your disappointment.
But I don't.
You see, normally I would fight a decision like this (I certainly don't feel it's the right one). However, the Cubs figured out how to quash whatever fight was left in me. It's the same way you silence any malcontent . . .
You buy them.
My price was not high. I didn't want cash, or airline tickets, or jewelry. I merely wanted what everyone in sports wants . . .
To be immortalized!

Pat, it's a sad day for us Cub fans. I don't know what they're thinking. I was at the Milwaukee game last month when Bob Uecker sang the 7th inning and the crowd booed so loud you never heard him. It just goes to show that the talent coordinator doesn't have a clue. Please come sing at my playoff party. (I live a few blocks from Dan Roan). You'll get the admiration you so deserve!

Pat - Sorry you won't be singing the 7th inning stretch but the bobble head is pretty cool! Hope you'll consider singing at the Grainge World Series bash in Elmhurst (CBS covered their Super Bowl party on both the evening and morning news - it was a big story). Bring Paul, Robin, and Larry - we'll give you the exclusive.

You've got to love the Bobblehead; hell, I love the Bobblehead! For what it's worth, I voted 5 times. I really didn't care if you sang or not, but I enjoyed coming up with the names I used on the petition.

well anyways just lettin you know.. that i voted bout 10 times.....
with every name i can think of including my brothers and sister (shh.. they didnt know - their SUCK Fans :P)
but yea.. plus i had nothing to do while i was at work...
also i watch the news everynight..
i have to make sure that when i go to bed the night before, that the tv is set on Channel 9 so when i wake up.. i can just turn it on.. and listen to all of you's....

Hey Pat, update your blog. Cubbies locked in tonight!!!! Enough about your bobble head. Can you make it to my playoff party in round 2 on Friday, Oct. 12? We have a 9 foot by 13 foot HD screen to watch the beloved Cubs. It will be a bash! (the screen is outdoors and CBS wants to do a helicopter fly over -- beat that WGN!
