Pissed about Potholes!
Okay...can I just vent for a moment??? (I have nothing else for today.)
I am sick of all these freakin' potholes.
They are everywhere...big, little, deep, shallow.
I mean, I had really been doing a good job navigating the holes and staying clear.
But today, I met my match.
It was a big one.
I hit the hole about 3:30 this morning coming into work.
It was dark, I was tired(Superbowl kept me up) and I just wasn't on my A-game.
The result.....A FLAT TIRE.
Just what I needed to start my day!
Okay, I'm done!
Got a flat to fix...

I hear ya,' Val. Rt. 47 out in the Yorkville/Sugar Grove area is horrible. Roads, especially STATE roads, should never get in this bad of a condition.

I feel for you Val!! So far I've been lucky enough not to have a flat because of all of the potholes along Ewing Ave on the Southeast side of Chicago and Indianapolis Blvd in Hammond, right by Horseshoe Casino. Just watch me get one this weekend on my way to Milwaukee. Love the show...Y'all are great.

I hit a pothole last week while turning a corner. It was dark, so I didn't notice it until. Bam!! I was on my way to meet some friends and my tire instantly became flat. Luckily, I was a mile from home, so hazard lights came on and instead of chillin with friends, I remained home the rest of the weekend. Plus, I had to buy a new rim!! I tired of dodging these potholes (the ones I can see)and it's costly if you hit one. Where is our tax money going?

Val, I LOVED reading your blog. Missed chatting with you at WEYI so it was great seeing what you've been up to. I'm in Chicago at the moment and setting my wake up call so that I might wake up and get to catch your cast. Oh and congrats on the baby :D a certain little girl (who has grown way to fast) has got to be so excited.

You think they are bad in the city. Whenever I drop my girls off at their grandma My husband has to weave in and out if the lane to miss the potholes, and that is on a side street. some of the potholes are really bad in Carpnetersville

Dodging these potholes seem like driving through an obstacle course. Welcome to winter time in Chicago!! Keep up the great work, Val!!

sorry to hear about your tire.
I try and watch you do new and traffic every morning. I work nights and watching you do traffic helps me with my ride home.
Thank you so much!
