Who owns this place?
It's been a few months since the sale of the Tribune Company was completed, and so far, not a whole lot has changed around here. My request for an ergonomic office chair still hasn't been answered, and we still have to bring our own pens to work.
But it's still an exciting time. We get e-mails from Sam Zell, himself, and they've started posting motivational signs around the building. The newest one features a quote from Ghandi. You believe that? The WGN of John Drury, Harry Caray, and Bozo is posting quotes from Ghandi!
(I'm submitting some prose from Kurt Cobain for the next round of posters).
I've learned, however, that these signs are not to be taken literally. They're merely words of "inspiration," and not "action." Watch the video below and you'll see what I mean.
Another star turning performance from Tom Skilling. He will, however, never be known as "One Take Tom."

Oh my!!! That was great! As a former intern of WGN, Tom Skilling in particular, I was laughing so hard this morning, I woke up my whole house! That was outstanding!!

This bit was unbelievably funny! My wife and I had to watch it 3 times so we could actually see it. "I'm Tom Fricken Skilling"... wow. That is amazing. Keep making the news fun! You guys are awesome!

I heard about the skit on WGN while I was driving Monday north of Peoria. Was not able to find it on my home computer ( its a functioning antique). I did find it at work and it was worth the search. Good job guys and girls. Take it on to Letterman, why dontcha.

WE WATCH YOU EVERY MORNING. ALL OF YOU WORK SO WELL TOGETHER. WE LOVE THE SHOW. WE HAVE WATCHED TOM SKILLING FOR YEARS, OR SHOULD I SAY TOM FREAKIN' SKILLING. THAT WAS SO FUNNY, ROBIN WAS MAKING US LAUGH EVEN HARDER AT THE WAY SHE WAS LAUGHING AT IT. KEEP IT UP.

I have watched the WGN morning news for years.
This is one of the funniest things I have seen in years.
Bill Weir falling into the shrubs after the Bulls won their last Champianship, was another.
Of course Paul, Larry and Robin are always funny !

BTW, I look forward to watching the show every morning. It's refreshing to see how you guys find humor in your daily "job". Watching the morning show is my daily dose of laughter. THanks!

Does Tom freaking Skilling have a cot in the weather center? He does the news at noon, 5:55 forecast, and at 9....no wonder he had all that pent up frustration! Love the show, best skit ever, watch everyday!
