Hello Morning Team,
I love your show you get me going every morning. This is a question for Judge Mathis when he appears on the show on Thurs. 7/31/08. I made the mistake of taking out one of those dreadful payday loans (which I thought would help me short term) that has put me in more debt than when I started. My questions is: Although, I did initially agree it seems so terrible that I've already paid over $1000 in interest and when I called to check what my pay off of the actual loan is, it was still only $30 less than what I originally borrowed. Needless to say I have now defaulted on the loan as it was putting me behind again on the bills I took it out to help pay in the first place. Now there calling me at work and threatning to garnish my wages. Is there any legal recourse to helping me resolve this although I agreed, how are these companies able to get away with this type of usuarry and put in the name of "contractual agreement"???? Please help as I am doing all I can to honor my debts but may have gotten in over my head!!! Thank you very, very much.
***Please, please read on the air w/ Judge Mathis***
