"People's governor" Crist uses people videos in State of State

In keeping with his mantra as the “people’s governor,” Gov. Charlie Crist is using testimonials from Floridians to tell a big chunk of his State of the State speech.

He’s featured campaign-style videos, highlighting regular folks talking about recently passed property tax referendum, restoring rights for convicted felons released from prison and helping the uninsured get health coverage. The health care testimonial featured a Wellington family talking about their struggles to get health coverage because of a pre-existing condition.

“This lack of access to health care is unacceptable,” said Crist, pitching a nearly $70 million plan to give coverage to some of Florida’s uninsured.

Will he be using the video of the shootings in Wendy's to show how terrific living in this gun ridden state has become? Maybe he can hold an interview with the widow of the paramedic who was gunned down...
