High noon at the water cooler

One can only sit back and marvel at the high-caliber firepower wielded by the gun lobby in Tallahassee. Republicans are supposed to be against government butting into how businesses conduct themselves, except, apparently, when it comes to determining whether or not those businesses can be forced to allow firearms onto their own premises.

Anyone with a concealed weapons permit may carry a concealed gun anywhere legally allowed. Anyone may keep a handgun in their car as long as it is "securely encased". That means in a closed glove box, container, or strapped into a holster.
A person's right to protection and self defense should not have to end once he leaves his home.
As to your argument, there are businesses who don't want to gays or handicapped persons on their premises either. But we don't let businesses dictate those beliefs either.

When you can shoot your neighbor over the height of his grass and walk away without so much as a grand jury indictment, it can't be long before you can shoot your coworker over the cleanliness of his desk.
