New slideshow video-"Contradictoons"
I get that a lot, usually from people who confuse "cartoon" with "comic." Editorial cartoons are commentary, and while humor is a tool editorial cartoonists frequently use, there are times when humor is not appropriate. Sometimes the serious cartoon has the greater impact.
Don't expect to get a belly laugh out of this slideshow. I put it together in hopes it might cause people to reflect a little. It has an accompanying soundtrack. I hope you enjoy it.

CHAN LOWE

This should be watched again and again. The emotional impact is stunning and repetition doesn't diminish its powerful messages.

Regarding Chan Lowe's request for opinions on his cartoons:
I just finished observing the Sun-Sentinel's online page showing Lowe's cartoons. He wants readers opinions - yes or no -on his recent creations. I find neither humor in them nor much political insight. I admit to wondering what in Mr. Lowe's resume should convince me to hold his liberal opinion above that of Harry, my neighbor who also likes to doodle.

Good work - and actually I couldn't help but laugh at some, esp. the one on the "Sanctity of Life Day."

To Frank Gottman--
Would sure like to see those "doodles"
of Harry's. Maybe he can be a
Pulitzer Prize finalist--just like Chan
Lowe.
