I hate it when your favorite politician gets caught doing something slimy. It's not technically illegal, and he never lied about it or tried to hide it, but it's still so .... sliiiiiiiiimy. ugh. And yeah, I'd still vote for him. A good pol in Maryland is better than a bad pol in Delray.

To say that I was shocked is an understatement. The man should not be allowed to run again as a rep. for Florida. He obviously is entitled to run in Maryland and nothing else. For years we have been fooled by this man but how can he represent us when he doesn't live in the hurricane-ridden, overtaxed area of S. Florida. He's paying homeowners insurance (a nice, low amount I presume) in Maryland while the rest of us are suffering from State Farm and Allstate higher prices. No, he should be removed from running again and a person who lives here permanently should take his place. In fact, the best premise would be if he just resigned. He is not a Floridian.

Wexler said that he didn't want to miss his kids early years while he was away in Washington, that he was known as the most traveled Congressman in Washington. Wait - don't all congressmen live in or near DC? What difference does it make where they happen to own some other residence they are never at? The real fix for these problems is to tear down all the house and senate buildings and have them telecommute from their home district - that way the lobbyists can't get 'em all in one place at the same time.
