Tim Mahoney just keeps on runnin'
It's true that I drew a cartoon about Representative Tim Mahoney of the scandal-plagued Florida 16th Congressional District just last week, but this gift of a local/national story keeps on giving. Since the story first broke, Mahoney has admitted to multiple affairs, and blubbered his way through a press conference wherein the morality candidate of two years ago begged for forgiveness from his constituents.
The amazing thing is, he hasn't quit his campaign for reelection, thereby assuring that a lot of angry voters, who may not be in a such a forgiving mood after their second representative in a row showed himself to be morally challenged, will turn out to vote against him. This is certain to hurt his own party's (Democratic) presidential ticket in a very important swing state next month.
Considering his reckless behavior to date, why should we be surprised?

you are so right...many democrats are saying they want a democrat no matter what...i say do not vote for that office...if the republican wins, so be it...we need legislators of high integrity who can reach across the aisles to solve our terrible problems...people have lost their children, their jobs, their homes and this male chauvinist pig is out there screwing around...shame on him...
DO NOT VOTE MAHONEY BACK...EVEN IF HE LOSES HE WILL BE ENTITLED TO A PENSION...

mahoney has let down his daughter, his wife, his church, his supporters, his contributors and his volunteers. he does not deserve to be returned to congress. we need legislators of high integrity to reach across the aisle and solve our terrible problems. he can no longer do this. nobody will respect him. his reckless behavior has made him useless to us. he needs to see a counselor and solve his personal problems and leave the rest of us out of his sordid life.

Morality candidate ?? What a joke- just like Foley - Can't keep it in his pants. Good for the wife filing for divorce. He madea total fool out of her more than once- now its her turn. !!! Vote this sleaze out== no matter what party he represents !!
