There's not much else I can say, except that it's a proud moment for all Americans, regardless of your political stripe. Sit back and savor it.

What went wrong with this country? How could they have voted in a man who stands for Terrorism, who is anti semetic, anti white and Anti American? What about the 20years of Reverend Wright? Are american so filled with white guilt that they gave away the election. Instead of voting for a true patriot who was willing to give up his life for our country? Who fought in the military? who loves this country and want to see it succeed instead of a man who believes in GOD DAMN AMERICA? We're we sprinkled with some kind of fairy dust that blinded us to everything Obama stands for? They can't even prove he was born on US soil and yet he won? what an Obamination!!

This country is in for a shock when the truth about the "Great Obama" comes out. Have people forgotten what happened in South Africa when Madela took over? What about the song from Ludacris about Painting the white house black? This man' wife called the white people "Whitey" and this is what was voted into office? Wake up America!!!
You are in for a real shock...We were not ready for this and we're still not ready...We have definatley taken a step back instead of moving forward. All those countries that are our enemies are Celebrating over Obama becoming president, Doesn't that say something???

That the United States can elect an African-American speaks well for our society. That 52% voted for a candidate whose closest supporters are racist, anti-semitic, and supportive of terrorism doesn't.

At 11:00pm Tuesday, Nov. 4th, when West Coast voting ended and the networks all confirmed that Barack Obama had been elected President of the United States of America, I could swear I actually felt the quake of a collective sigh of relief from the entire world, followed in a nanosecond by a shriek of joy and exhilaration like nothing I've ever heard to this day in my lifetime.

The America of dreams and ideals that we all once took for granted has officially returned from a period of darkness, distraction and confusion to live again with a renewed sense of higher purpose to make this little planet of ours a better place for everyone!

I watched the scene in Grant Park on TV while holding hands with my wife and as we listened to John McCain's gracious concession speech and then watched and listened to our next President talk to America in his acceptance speech, I felt that 'quake' of emotion again and again.

As I watched and reflected upon how far America had come for me...a 57-year old, white, small business owner in Florida, originally from a little industrial, working-class town in Michigan adjacent to Detroit and tucked in between the steel mills on the Detroit River and massive Ford Rouge Auto plant complex...I found my thoughts going back to my high school days and of the many African-American friends that I grew up with there in the 1960s. I found myself smiling and thinking of the joy and emotions that must be in their hearts to see in our lifetime that the rest of America has finally grown up and finally accepted something we learned together back then in our high school...that it is really true that regardless of 'race, creed or color', we are all equal in the eyes of America...and beginning right now, the melting pot of people called 'Americans' will forever work together to make America everything it can and should be as a force for good and peace in this world!

I am truly still overwhelmed. Thank you, America! The very best of you has shown through on Nov. 4th, 2008...just like my high school friends and I have long hoped...America really IS that 'shining beacon on a hill'.

I am poor and white. Does that mean that Obama is going to pay my rent and take care of me, like that black lady on tv said she was looking forward to? The only reason Obama won was because he cheated, his teams registered everyone and their dog and many of the people registered were dead or not legally citizens, but I bet these illegals were not verified to be citizens and yet they have their hands out just like the rest of his voter's. Obama was not honest and upfront with the American people and now we will pay for his lies and deception and our own stupidity in not electing the man we know is 100% American, John McCain instead of a half breed like Obama, who any way you cut it is half American and half Kenyan and personally I believe America deserves a true red blooded American as our President and John McCain is still that man. I hope someone finds the lies that will get his real truth out, that, the real truth, is what Obama has cheated us out of.

I would like to start a petition to require that President Elect Obama prove his American Citizenship, as this is an issue that has not been sufficiently proven for at least 46% of Americans that voted for John McCain, who we know beyond the shadow of a doubt, is 100% American and he and his family before him have proven that he can be trust to do what is best for country and not just certain interest groups. If you are interested in doing this please contact me at 954-374-8404 and maybe we can work together to ease at least this one question in our mind of this little known person who has won the most coveted position we cherish as Americans and the thought even the flicker of a thought that an Indonesian or Kenyan could control our country makes me physically ill. And, that just may be what we have in Obama, whether we ever have this proven or not. By starting a petition we may get national support and that is what we will need.

Debra,

Out of interest, where was John
McCain born?

Debra,

John McCain was born in Panama, not the US. That makes him 100% non-American Hispanic. He misled 46% of the voters with his lie about his nationality. He should be shipped back to where he came from!!!

Plubius,

Thank you.

Debra, enough already. After eight years of your beloved Bush driving the country into the ground, I really don't want to hear a bunch of right-wing CRAP that is completely false.

Want to see his birth certificate? Go to barackobama.com. A genuine certificate is posted there.

But, go ahead and wallow in your hatred, you unAmerican, ignorant twit.

Oh, and where were YOU born?

Doesn't that say something???

Yeah, it says you can't think for yourself.

Turn off Rush and grow a brain.

I don't think "Debra" is who she says she is. Her comments are racial in nature. She says she is poor and white. The phone number she lists is registered to an Oneil Binns, a dark skinned person from near Miami. Since you place so much importance on proving who you are, why don't you come clean "Debra"?
