Enough

Face it, you blew it. Now--just go away, please. Don't try to put frosting on a failed presidency.

Your comics are far from funny.....I don't agree with everything Bush did while in office...I am grateful that he was able to keep the war off American soil.....and we have not had anymore terrorist attacks since...and while he is our president I will give him the same respect you all want for Obama....Who I don't like but once in office I will respect him as the leader of our country....In the meantime all you who disrespected our leader can add your name to the list of people who have made our country what it has become today....less than it was yesterday...I only hope that at some point people like you will learn a valuable lesson about what it means to be a patriot and proud of the country you live in....if you all don't I can't imagine what kind of country we will be in the future...certainly not a strong one!

Concerned Citizen: Your definition of 'patriot' leaves much to be desired if you think criticizing some of Bush's policies, decisions and mistakes isn't 'patriotic'. Take the blinders off. Just because I and the generations of my family before me were born in the U.S. doesn't mean I should support a President who breaks the very values we fought for and our Constitution stands for. We WANT our country to be the best in the world...and when leaders like Bush & Cheney do and endorse the very same things we HUNG war criminals in WWII for doing (waterboarding!), and we blithely let them get away with it, what does that say about our country?

And just for the record, even when not funny, I happen to find Chan Lowe's comics almost always interesting, insightful and generally pretty darn clever! And very useful for illustrating the issues of the day for the half of our U.S. population that basically can't even read.

I have no problem with criticism....Down right disrespecting the President at every turn and making a mockery of our government is the problem I have....It allows the rest of the world to do the same....I'm sure you voted for the man with NO EXPERIENCE too.He promised to end the war in Iraq only to put our men in Afghanistan with a smaller budget which means less protection for our troops...and can you imagine if they are aloud to live when caught what torture they have endured at the hands of the enemy, only to end up dead!!!! As far as prisoners of war or would that be terrorists who have NO FEELING for you are me other than hate...they should be thankful they are alive as there are many innocent americans that are not because of their actions...I will not forget 9/11 and I have no sympathy for people responsible for it...It was an unfortunate time for Bush to be president as we had terror attacks..ultimate war..I am glad Bush didn't say lets feel bad for the terrorists!!!..I am thankful as I said before, that he kept the war off our land and we have not had more attacks...One thing he has done well, once the Dems took over in congress our financial system went south, Many People run our government, One man is not alone.

"Down right disrespecting the President at every turn and making a mockery of our government is the problem I have.
GQP: Exactly right. And the Bush/Cheney team made a mockery of our government, along with the right-wingnut religious fanatics now running the Republican party.

"He promised to end the war in Iraq only to put our men in Afghanistan with a smaller budget which means less protection for our troops."
GQP: Smaller budget?? Where did you make this up from? He's promised to send MORE help to US troops in Afghanistan...where they should have stayed in the first place to hunt down Bin Laden and his followers once and for all.

"and can you imagine if they are aloud to live when caught what torture they have endured at the hands of the enemy, only to end up dead!"
GQP: You do, of course, realize that this is far more likely to happen today BECAUSE OF BUSH/CHENEY discarding our long-held prohibition on torturing prisoners?? WE HUNG WWII War Criminals for waterboarding prisoners...and now we're supposed to let Bush & Cheney do it because people like you want to fall into the same gutter as the very enemies we're fighting??? Don't you see how you've given up the moral high ground and righteousness here?? Might is not necessarily right...and the ends don't always justify the means.

".I will not forget 9/11 and I have no sympathy for people responsible for it...It was an unfortunate time for Bush to be president as we had terror attacks..ultimate war..I am glad Bush didn't say lets feel bad for the terrorists!!!..I am thankful as I said before, that he kept the war off our land and we have not had more attacks..."
GQP: I agree totally. But if you reason that way, how can you possibly not criticize Bush & Cheney for not going after the terrorists that ACTUALLY ATTACKED us and going into Iraq, instead?

You're heart is obviously in the right place, friend...we simply differ on how to best keep this country safe, strong and lead the free world in these dangerous times.

Wishing you and yours a Happy, Healthy & Fulfilling New Year in 2009! And please keep your mind open enough to the possibility that the majority of us who voted for Obama might just be right...and even if we're not right, just like the Bush/Cheney group was dead wrong on almost everything during their 8 years, we're going to do it our way now.

So your choice is to pitch in and help your new President, just as you've implored us Dems to do in supporting Bush while President.
