Paying for the octuplets

Sometimes stories that don't seem to be relevant to anything in our lives just grab the public by the throat and don't let go. Or, more accurately, the public grabs them by the throat.

I know people who don't know the difference between the deficit and the national debt (and don't care) who have become world authorities on every intimate detail of Caylee Anthony's life and death.

The Octuplet Mom is another one of those stories. They're the glue that holds this great nation together, because, just like whether or not you want anchovies on your pizza, everybody's got an opinion, and everybody wants to share it, vocally.

The fix illustrated in this cartoon does not seem unreasonable, when you take into account society's current levels of crassness. Everybody comes out satisfied, because the taxpayers don't have to foot the bill, and the companies involved get some eyeball time.

It won't happen. Not because of a belated sense of propriety, though. In this economy, everybody's cutting back on his marketing budget.

In my opinion, the doctor or so called doctor who did the artificial insemination should be prosecuted and hanged! This man had to know what he was about to do and one wonders if he was using her for a guinea pig. Maybe he used his own sperm and if that is the case, his sleazy ass can financially support the whole lot of them including the crazy woman who gave birth to all those poor babies. She will never be able to support them all on her own, she can not possibly care for fourteen all at the same time. She is a nut case and the doctor is too. Most of us bust butt to feed, clothe and educate just a couple of kids and it is not an easy thing to do either. Here she is, all grinning and big as a barrel with fourteen more for us to feed.

i agree that the doctor needs to be proecuted. he also needs to be the sole support of these children. i have always said that any women who depends on welfare to support their children needs to be sterlized if they get pregant a second time and are still on welfare. the same thing with deadbeat dads who wont pay child support. they need to be sterlized also.

I think the octuplets mom should be charged with criminal conspiracy to feed clothe her children before they were ever conceived
