Rush Limbaugh and the billboard

Whatever you think of Rush Limbaugh, he's worthy of your respect...as an entertainer. He knows well his listeners' carnivorous palates, and he throws them the bloody scraps they crave.
What he and his fellow traveler Ann Coulter are doing to the gossamer fabric that binds our nation together, just to make a buck, is another story. For that, there's a special hot love seat waiting for them where they're going.
But this is about Rush the Entertainer, who cannot help but be chortling over the way the Democrats are helping to boost his ratings. Their condemnation is his gravy.
As for the Democrats, their behavior with this idiotic billboard just reinforces my belief that the number-one mission of any organization is self-preservation. If they had just kept their mouths shut, the Republican Party would probably have marginalized Rush on their own, since his cause is not theirs.
But, Rush is also a powerful fundraising magnet. He must not be allowed to sink into obscurity, lest the fires dim in the bellies of checkbook-bearing lefties everywhere.
Sure it's cynical. That's why so many of us are registered as Independents.

Hey Chan, aren't you the one that drew a cartoon of G.W. Bush with a needle in his arm?
Talk about tearing the fabric of our nation, when was the last time you gave credit to a Republican in one of your toons.

Chan, sometimes you are brilliant with your drawings; most times your flaming liberalism shines through. Please don't give me that you're an independent nonsense.
Anyway, regardless how anyone feels about Rush, the fact of the matter is, you are right, his audience is growing. At the same time, so is his advertising base. The undeniable truth is, this a great example of what the market wants and is willing to bear.
What a wonderful example of capitalism at work.
I see none of the Left's attempts at similar median are succeeding.
It's just a matter of time- we will tolerate this left-leaning government. Soon it will change. It has to.

Give it eight years, just like you gave us, Joe. We're still paying for that one and will likely do so for more than eight.

Lowe you hit the nail on the head with this political cartoon.
Mind boggling the thought process that came up with and approved this billboard message couldn't comprehend how it will only backfire, thus exposing them for the fools they really are.
Rush's reply will likely go something like,
'OF COURSE ! America didn't vote for a rush to failure but just rushing that stimulus bill through congress is a prime example of what we're getting. Perhaps for starters, if people actually READ the bill they would better understand what this is ALL about.'

Political correctness and liberalism go hand in hand down the rosey path to
socialism/communism. Have a happy walk with Bambi and his minions. Liberalism is a mental disorder. Rush dose well because he tells the truth, more than I can say for the liberaldrivel media. Thanks.

Seems to me the democrats are a little smarter than you are giving them credit for. Has the strategy really gone so far over your head? You are absolutely correct that the democrats outrage towards Rush is generating publicity for him, making him more than ever seem the defacto leader of that headless chicken that is the GOP. That "their condemnation is his gravy". And they would have it no other way. They don't want Rush "marginalized" by the GOP. They want him strong, loud, and in power. This should be obvious. The American people may make mistakes, but in the end a party led by Rush Limbaugh is not a party that is going to be reclaiming any branch of government, or taking back any of those demographics that are now backing our president. They could not hope for a better opponent.

If the Republican Senators don't have a mind of their own, and are listening to pill-poppin' Limbaugh, they don't deserve to be in the seats they occupy!

WHY DO THE LIMP DICK LEFTIES ALWAYS REFER TO "PILLS" WHEN DISCUSSING RUSH, BUT NEVER MENTION DOPE SMOKING WHEN TALKING ABOUT THE MESSIAH-"YOBUMA"?

The best thing we could possibly do with this fat asshole is NEVER mention his name again. EVER. That would be a fate worse than death to him.

"He knows well his listeners' carnivorous palates, and he throws them the bloody scraps they crave".
I would offer that Rush has more to say about how good America is rather than how bad it is. That is what attracts a big audience.
You've obviously not listened to Rush. He's on weekdays 12:00PM to 3:00PM on WIOD and many other Clear Channel Stations.
Chan, you need to broaden your horizosn. Maybe then you too will someday reach an audience the size of Limbaugh's.

Harry,
Listening to Rush Limbaugh can broaden one's horizons?
OMG!
Posted by: johnctryon | March 16, 2009 9:02 AM
Harry, I don't think Rush could help anyone that uses "OMG". So don't worry he couldn't help YOU.

The GOP are falling all over themselves to see who is further to the right of the populace. Between Sarah "drill baby drill" Palin, Bobby "volcano monitoring" Jindal and Rush "i lead the GOP" Limbaugh. I think the the republicans are looking at another 40 years in the wilderness. On the down side that means they will come back just in time to mess up my retirement. Party of business my hairy Norwegian butt.

I listen to Beck and Rush. Their shows are based on facts, mostly soundbites of the people they're discussing. For example, Beck merely aired many Van Jones' clips. Period. That was not lies or distortions. Then he let me think for my myself, unlike Lowe's commentary here.
