stereotypical psychobabble from a classless lost cause. humorless pablum from a low level rag writer.

This animation was terrific! You had me laughing so hard. I'm going to send your site to all of my friends. I read the last comment and think that "Anonymous" will live a whole lot longer if he would only gain a sense of humor. Thanks for making my day. Keep up the great work!

You did the animations and the voices? haha, awesome. That must have been fun to record. :)

This was hysterical. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Keep up the good work!!

I loved the animation in the Baby Boomers piece, especially the throwback to the protestors in the 60s...those were the days! I also enjoyed browsing through your archives. Thank you!

This was great! I really enjoyed watching this. :-)

As a future member of the AARP, I'm not looking forward to be bored, tubby & mild.

But you did make me laugh! Thanks.

Wow, I sure could identify with that. Are you sure you don't know me?

Being a little past baby boomer stage, this really isn't entirely tru of many boomers I know. At 71, I feel great and don't go to a gym, nor does my husband who is 72. We live, travel and enjoy our "golden" baby boomer years.

where is the email link so I can send this to friends?

This is the best animation yet and I love them all. I intend to share it with all my friends of the "appropriate" age!

OLD FOLKS ENJOY THESE SMILES; THANKS

That was great! Now every time I hear "Born to be Wild" I'll think of your cartoon and chuckle!
Too bad Anonymous has a hardened heart...I'll pray for him/her-

.....Funny!!

more selfreferential baby boomer stuff. Enough

This was very funny. Too bad Anonymous can't relax and enjoy. I thought it was entertaining!

This is me! You have exposed my life! WOW! How did you know? Great JOB, LOL

garbaaaage

YOU KNOW "YOU CAN PLEASE SOME OF THE PEOPLE
SOME OF THE TIME BBBBBBBBBUT "YOU CAN'T PLEASE
ALL OF THE PEOPLE ALL OF THE TIME" DB

This was great. I am a fifties baby.

thats soo lol haha it was just so funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ain't this the truth....................it tells it like it is & too bad time goes by so fast

God Bless us all

Creative, funny, real and a vision of Christmas future for those coming up behind the baby boomers. Live life to the fullest now.

Histerical, and creative, you make me smile......
it is just sooo funny!!!! loved it.

Walt, You really brought in the whole clan laughing on Baby Boomers. Thanks.

Very clever. I am sending it to my friends, too.

CUTE - I LIKE IT ALOT
I bet annonymous is so miserable with his life that he just can`t appreciate some light hearted humour. Poor guy.
LEARN TO RELAX AND LOOK FOR THE GOOD IN EVERYTHING

LMAO too funny I can relate

If it weren't so funny it would be sad....but it's funny, and soooooo true...! Lighten up Anonymous....life happens and if we can't laugh at some of it then we've got a real problem.

teehee.....sometimes i feel just like that!!!! what a funny cartoon.....!

Some people don't think this is funny because I guess it is you "HAD TO BE THERE." I am proud to be a boomer. Keep up the the great humor!

The votes are in...there are no hanging chads...IT IS VERY FUNNY !

"Anonymous" needs to dig a deep hole, jump in and then cover him or herself with dirt and not bother The Great Majority.

ABSOLUTELY STUPID AND HUMORLESS! WHY NOT WRITE ABOUT THE ATTRIBUTES OF OLDER FOLKS INSTEAD OF PUTTING DOWN THEIR PHYSICAL ABILITIES? I AM AWARE LIFE IS LAUGHABLE SOMETIMES, BUT THIS CARTOON NEEDS SOME FINE TUNING TO SAY THE LEAST. MUSIC STINKS AND LYRICS ARE STRAINED! ENOUGH! I SAID MY PIECE.

oh, Sara...looks like you and Anonymous need to get together so you can brainstorm on ways to lighten up a bit. if one can't laugh at oneself, it's time to throw in the towel.

this cartoon was great, and oh so true. thanks, Walt!

Cartoon was funny, not all the way there yet! Still have some time, Treadmill does hurt, though, I would love one of those scooters.

Clever and entertaining. Laughed out loud. Loved the Motrin line. Used to work for Upjohn. Negative comments are beyond my ken.

Received as part of a "Happy Birthday" email. I am 55 today -- argghhhhh! Hard to believe we were the ageless, immortal rebels once. It went around, and now it is coming around . . .

My husband and I missed the boomers by a few years. We didn't smoke pot or anything else. Nor did we "trip on acid". Now ,although we are older than the boomers we're both in pretty good shape Old? Nah. Not us!

Quite the hoot. Thanks for the giggles.

Where can we purchase a DVD of this Baby Boomer animation?

after reading all the comments, both negative and positive, I did'nt know what to expect...but as it was really, really funny

And if I laugh, tis so I will not cry. So true, so true. Thanks

Uh, I must not be as easily amused as most people.

Slightly humorous, but mostly for OLD people.

Twu, twu, twu!!!! Bravissimo!!!! Very enterataining and high quality!!

GREAT !!!! Thanks and wow - where were you when Born to Be Wild was first popular - mid-late 60's!!!!!

Thanks for the laughs and wonderful humor! Those who laugh longest and loudest live longer!

i say....laugh out loud and enjoy everything...those who have no sense of humor we should all pity....why criticize when you can just sit back and chuckle.....it doesn't have to be written by scholars for entertainment.....life is to short not to smile and take most of it in and find some humor in even the saddest moments....getting old has it's ups and downs like the past did....however i would rather laugh than be a "grinch"....

TOOOOO damn funny, great job! Brought back many memories as I was there. How anyone cannot laugh at this is beyond me. Chill out people and enjoy life (at least whats left of it). Will be forwarding this to all my friends as we are all B.B.'s and I know they will appreciate it.

Oh gosh, a Huge Thank You! Fits "us" to a T.

Thank you so very much! Great! totally my husband and myself ha ha....It is good to be able to laugh at yourself in animation...Ha ha ha. I will have a smile on my face everytime I thnk of this. Thank you!

I laughed so hard I peed in my Depends

I love it! I am a baby-boomer! I plan to live aloooong time and enjoy myself. Work 30 years and now its time to really party! Thanks

that was soooo funny I was laughing out loud

Totally enjoyed the brief getaway from politics, war, and other depressing news. Why would anyone take the time to bash the cartoon.... hello, it's a cartoon. Benign and harmless. Yup, I'm one of the BB's, and I did get a giggle from the frisky pair. Ease up cartoon knockers. Do you ever laugh? Thanks to the one who forwarded this.

Mark La Monica ... great job! but why waist all that time? Use your talents elsewhere my friend. The comic baby boomer thing I think is played out by massive forward emails and is getting pretty boring in my box.

People are so freakin' uptight.. RELAX!!!!!

Obviously "Babyboomer hit too close to home for the 1st Anonymous, so he felt he had to strike back. Humor is life.

Pat Hyland

This was so damn funny, I have forwarded the URL to all my friends and coworkers! Boomers that can't laugh at themselves have no sense of humor...or they're dead.

this is so realistic. Everything is true. Billy told us you were great, but WOW! E.P.

The only thing funny-er then this little scit is Sara's and the infamous Anonymous' responce. Obliviously not of the boomer age. And yes I said obliviously.

How come only "anonymous" didn't like it? I did!

Hey Annonymous on November 7th - If you can do better, have at it! Sounds like someone didn't get their warm oatmeal today!!

O my, how true it is. Woodstock, Atlantic 1, free concerts in Boston. Now far from being 40 years. What fun and good life!!!

What FUN! I love it!

Stop! Im having chest pains! oh! never mind, it was just Gas......
That was good stuff! Thanks!

Oh My laughed so hard. How can anybody say this wasnt funny old or not. Great job will send to all my friends young and old. I have a scooter like that eat your heart out. I run road races through the stores.

This was a real chuckle, I enjoyed it a lot and I too feel that the person who posted as anonymous sounds very digruntled with life that they can't take something like this and have a chuckle. I can understand why they declined to let the world know who they are. Life with anonymous must suck.............

IT WAS SOOO CUTE... LOVED IT... OLD AGE IS NOT FOR SISSY'S... XO

THIS IS THE BEST!!!!! We need to learn how to laugh at ourselves. There is a funny side to everything. :)

I laughed so hard , i am hurting , GREAT JOB.

Funny and light hearted. "Annonymous" on November 7th should lighten up ! (what's the matter, did it hit to close to home?)

Awesome, loved it...I was totally entertained. Had to replay it. Will send it on.

Vertical and breathing, still wild and now laughing... letting all those crows feet go to town....thank you for your humor...
And those scooters! Am going to have to start sidecar shopping for the HD Shovelhead... circa 1969 Generator.
Late 60's? tearing it up on the Big Sur coast - hehehe

TOOOOOOO Funny, Loved it
Bonney

I loved this humerous depiction of "Boomers then and now." We're a colorful group that is deserving of recognition. It makes me feel sorry for the young people of today. How will they be described for their contributions to the world? We were and willing to change the world for the better and made a difference in a positive way. Getting older and refusing to look and act it is just sending more positive energy into the universe. Baby Boomers Rule.

OMG this was soooo hilarious! I was LMAO!!! Thank you for the forward as I am going to forward this to all of my friends so they can have a great laugh! Anonymous Nov. 7th and SARA BERNHARRT I hope that your lives aren't as negative as your comments because this was cute and funny and life is truly too short to put effort into something so negative and then post i!.

Thanks for the laugh, it was great. For the Anonymous Writer on November 7, you must not have a sense of humor. Laugh and enjoy life. I loved it!

THAT WAS TOOOOOO FUNNY...AND I HATE TO ADMIT IT BUT ITS SO TRUE !! LMAO....THANK YOU FOR THE HEARTY LAUGH. NOW TIME TO GET ON THE TREADMILL....LOL-LOL-LOL.

great to be able to chuckle at ourselves!

I got a great laugh and will forward this to lots of my BB friends, but I am amazed at how quicky we went from young to not so young. I just turned 60 and I am still in shock. Great job!!!!

What a hoot!!! Anne

Being a BB, I could identify! Doesn't mean I'm old just because I am near 60. My mother is 79; grandmother and great aunts all reached 96; so I am no where near OLD, Keetis. You and Anonymous need to learn to laugh! After all, that couple was on treadmills--how many truly old people do that?

Keep up the good work!

This has to be one of the very best emails I've received in the past 2 years!!! This was hysterical, had me ROFL!!! Keep up the good work! Thanks for a great laugh!!

Suppose Sara and Anonymous haven't been to a fitness gym. This clip is hilarious and a great take off of those under 50 and over 50 all peddling together for the same cause..LIFE LIFE TO THE FULLEST!!
Funny clip and if Sara and Anonymous can do better .... please do show and tell..FUNNY
To ya all...Happy Turkey Day! Eat till your stuffed. There is always the gym the next day, or the Black Friday Rush! Enjoy Life.

Great !!!! VIVA AARP !!!!!

Oh boy, this is sad - why? you ask? Because I can relate to this.
To whomever - thanks for making me more than chuckle!

This is great! For those who don't like it, here is a quote from Gloria Steinem:
"The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off."

I would bet" Anonymous" Nov 7th has very few friends

I feel sorry for people that were born without a funnybone :-(

Smile, it is good for your health...As for Walt....I thank God you are "classless" and warmed so many of our hearts with laughter :-)

Great! I can relate - just joined a gym - hope I enjoy it as much as the cartoon.... good stuff!!!! Keep 'em coming......

As for Anonymous, GET A LIFE!!! You only come around once.......

Screw Anonymous, who cares about him? That was right on, funny, and smart. Keep em comin

Work like you don't need the money. Love like you have never been hurt. Dance like you do when nobody is watching. HAVE FUN!

That was the story of my present life!

anonymous is just a nasty little pseudointellectual with no sense of humor.pitiful.
got a good laugh out of this after a hard day on my 54 year old feet.
thanks

why must this age group be described so negatively? I belong to hiking group and find that there is not a single person who couuld identify with this and the age range is from 40 years or less to 80 years! the drawings were cute.

the best..56 yr old born to be wild..never will loose that but sssooooo true

im 57 -n-thinks steppenwolf sucks and the cartoon a moronic, waste of time and materials.

Thanks for the laugh, I needed it! Those who didn't like it, lighten up!! If you can't laugh at yourself, then you must not have had any time to laugh! I remember slambooks in Jr High and the song "Midnight Confession" dedicated to my first crush! Keep it up. It's fun!

Those of us that preceeded you folks invented that thing.

Loved it, as did so many others who are blessed with a sense of humor. All those detractors, to be born with no sense of humor and to age as a grouch is a shame. Why not lighten up and age with grace instead of letting age sour you? As they say, the alternative to aging ain't so good either.

NOT THAT GOOD

Thank you for making my day! :-) I can relate to aging gracefully with my lumbego, bad knees, hypertension, and allergies to grasses and flowers.

yes, I agree with both sets of responses as in:

it's not funny

and

lighten up and laugh at yourself

What is not funny is the term baby boomer; we are all lumped together as youth-craving, desperate creatures who latch on to each trend as a means to avoid aging.

We are going to age, and we are going to die, and that's ok.
Still smokin' pot and still dancing wild but not in an attempt to retard the aging process but only to enjoy the moment.

Lots of my friends have already died or been diagnosed with serious disease. We have no guarantees but THIS MOMENT.

I'm a marathon walker and 61. However this did tell the story of my "early" life. This had me LOL. I will watch it whenever I need a good laugh at myself!!! Besides, my doctor told me I was old! What does he know?

I haven't laughted that hard in awhile!! I am a baby boomer and I thought that was the best. To bad some can't enjoy a little humor, I guess that goes with age for some.

can't improve on this one:
"stereotypical psychobabble from a classless lost cause. humorless pablum from a low level rag writer."

Humourous and entertaining --- Right on!

I'm 72. It was funny! Anony-mouse and the others who object obviously have no sense of the ridiculous and cannot laugh at themselves. Poor babies.

I find it laughable that those who are offended fail to understand this is a CARTOON! It isn't supposed to do anything but make you chuckle.. if you're so easily offended, what on earth are you doing looking at CARTOONS? In boomer terms:
Lighten up
Chill out
Don't sweat it man
Take a chill pill

Ditto to boomer2

Absolutely true......and funny ....and clever!

Well done and like all good humor, universally applicable to the trials of getting older. Good job at putting it all together. Thanks for your efforts.

how mundane get a life

I guess Wheelchairin-wolf recorded this, eh? Ar Ar Ar.

The cartoon was funny...Anonymous was not...
Ya know, Woody Allen always used heavy terminology like that to impress women because he was so darned ugly. Hmmmm...I wonder.

This is my favorite comment:

"stereotypical psychobabble from a classless lost cause. humorless pablum from a low level rag writer."

Written by a humorless, right-wing, divorced person who doesn't even know what psychobabble means That person is probably also in their 40s and hates this cartoon because they can see that they will be there too soon. This person is hates themselves, the government, and has no friends. They will never marry again.

Ps. This cartoon was very well done and very funny!!!

This cartoon is great and that is why I teach people to be proactive about their health before they get into that shape. I will send eveyone here to watch this video for a long time and help wake them up to get started on a wellness routine of Proper Nutrition,Exercise,Water and Happiness Now.
Thanks for this video and God Bless
Mike of www.newyorkmike.com 888-245-9548

You don't laugh because you're old, you are OLD if you don't laugh!
Don't expect anything about getting older--just appreciate that you are!!

How many people on this site call themselves "Anonymous?" Certainly gets confusing. Readers, how difficult is it to put in a name -- any name, even just initials -- as an identity?

The first person, Anonymous, tries to be a big shot with his/her words, but must have one boring life. You did a great job. Thanks for the laugh. Keep up the good work. This is what makes us all happy by laughing. The way life should be.

way funny, i can relate to that !!! even have " the red rascacal" scoter at age 47 .

This is one great video. I am a baby boomer but not quite at that stage yet (chuckle). Will keep this one for my library and pass it on to my friends. Now, to figure a way on how to download it onto my Facebook so as my friends, relatives and other Baby Boomers can enjoy it. Thanks for putting together a great animated production. It's priceless and made my day. Cheers, George

Anonymous needs to replay the video and lighten up. That was not only funny but accurate. Great Job Walt. Keep up the great work. Anonymous.... a brief message for you. If you can't say anything nice then here's a suggestion:
Shut the F*%k UP!!

Sorry my meds just licked in...

This is great! Now on to the rest.
A laugh a day will always keep the blues away.

How cool was that? lol I'm not quite a baby boomer, but I'm not far behind, and I FEEL like one sometimes. lol As for "Anonymous", I wonder how long it took for them to look all those big words up in his thesaurus. I agree, he should get a sense of humor.

Not everyone was dropping acid and destroying the culture in the 60's. The media tends to ignore the early "geeks" at NASA that were fulfilling JFK's dream of getting a man to the moon and laying the groundwork for all the technology we have today. I think they created the real legacy of today's world. Not the dope smoking malcontents.

I laughted outloud. Thanks so much ! I wish I didn't relate as much as I do.

Sooo funny and yet sad at the same time! LOL
Great choice of music.
Anonymous has no sense of humor.

P.S. The "dope smoking malcontents" are now running this country! LOL Lighten up pubilus.

very funny, mostly true for me and some of my friends.!!!

I really liked the ape hanger handlebars on the scooter ala Easy Rider.

I've been stressed to the max and usually don't look at these emails, but I'm sure glad I checked out this one! What a hoot! It's so good to laugh at ourselves and not take ourselves seriously!!! I sure feel much better after that giggle!!! Thanks!!!

Too Too funny...It really hit home. Thanks; I think.

FAAAR OUT! I could really get behind that! As a flower child of the 60's and early 70's myself, I can say with certainty that fits most people I know in that (my) age bracket. But I have to say, ""Anonymous" obviously wasn't there, or he or she WOULD have gotten the humor! Great humor and very clever!

I'm 62 and didn't find it funny at all; not offensive. . .just not funny. What I DO find interesting however, are the scathing, ad hominem attacks on those of us who saw no humour in the predictable, trite, stereotypes. Racdaddy tells us to "shut the F*%k up" and ted l says we must all hate ourselves, have no friends, and be members of the right wing. MANY comments tell us to "lighten up" and "relax". My, my. And all because we didn't laugh at your joke? Hey, for those of you who laughed, great; enjoy yourselves. But please think twice before publicly castigating those of us who don't share your sense of humor. Perhaps you might give consideration to your own advice: Relax.

LOL!!! Walt, you rule!

regarding Anonymous on nov 7 : STEROTYPICAL PSYCHOABBLE ? This clown needs to get his head out of the encylopedia and learn to enjoy life. He has the attitude of a professional politician ( no names mentioned) , and most likely the personality of a grape. Very funny. I'm 64, and though I don't fit the bill for most of the cartoon, I can relate, and enjoy a good laugh. Thanks ;

well I thought it was funny. not sure what the problem is for some who didn't, but then again maybe your life is full of funnies and this one didn't hit the mark. thanks walt, I liked this one

Hey everybody. Go easy on anonymous. It's not his fault he doesn't find this humorous. He's probably Canadian and has only been exposed to things that are actually funny. This cartoon is cute at best. But it's highschool level and far below what I would expect from a Pulitzer winner.

I'm 36 and still found it amusing...I usually roll my eyes when I hear of people BORN in the eighties...Since those were my teenage years..My 14 yr and I laugh about "the way things were"
Keep up the good work!!! Oh and Anonoymous, God bless you but you really should lighten up...Life is TOO SHORT to be unhappy. But this is America and you ARE entitled to your opinion...

Well, as I hobble around with all those little "athletically-inspired" bodily disfunctions, I enjoyed the fun of the cartoon and certainly recognized many names of "assistance" tablets listed. On the other hand, at 68, I still intend to live to 100, so I imagine life will get more physically-involved in the years to come. Thanks for a good start today!

Funniest piece ever! Walt Handlesman you are brilliant

Here's the thing.. they need to make pot legal so that us baby boomers can RELAX in to it..

Clever….witty… the right cartoon style.
The music composition is perfect for this level of cartoon. I especially enjoyed the negative comments. They remind me of the grumpy old men and women at the nursing home who are so near death and have forgotten their sense of humor.
It’s a cartoon. Get it!
I bet they didn’t laugh at the Dutch cartoons of Mohamed with bombs strapped to his head.

AWESOME !!!!!!!

This was the funniest and true animation I have ever seen! We live in a 55+ "active" community and we are very active! We certainly do our best to enjoy life with a good attitude and we need to exercise! I love being the age I am...the alternative is NOT what I am looking forward to!

OMG, 46 and just had our 4th granddaughter, she's stunning. i'm startin to feel it, thanks for a great laugh...

As this kinda schtick goes, it was VERY good.
And I KNOW who Anonymous is. It hasn't been a good week for this person.........rain, winds......and I'm NOT talking about the weather.

OK, where can I get one of those scooters? Loooooooove it!

My wife Joanie and I really enjoyed this video. We have had our share of marital woes lately........My libido is very strong while hers isnt...I came across this while surfing porn on the internet, and it actually grabbed my attention.

How bout a new nickname for the Anonymous one. They named theirself garbaaaage

Funny, unfortunately also true. That my generation got so out of shape is a sad statement of fact. Personally, I find it appalling.

Cute, but I enjoyed the different comments more. It is ironic that the negative commentors are the minority rebels and the rest of us that lived the life and thought this to be funny are the norm.

AS I celebrated birthday 52 yesterday, this could not have come at a better time! At least we can still laugh at ourselves, when we can't do that any more, we're in big trouble!! (so glad to know after all these years why we have acid reflux...)

SO,SO TRUE! I LAUGHED SO HARD THAT TEARS CAME TO MY EYES. WE ALL NEED TO LAUGH MORE EACH DAY . THANKS

this sucked a waist of time.

To publius; I agree; not every boomer was smokin' dope and protesting. Some were at NASA putting men on the moon. Others were in law school and supporting the VietNam War. But, does this mean that my knees don't hurt when I exercise too long? Or that I don't prefer to exercise to loud rock n' roll music? Nah. There was enough truth to make me laugh, pretty darned hard, too.

At my age, I am still into t&a, tylenol and advil. : )

Just wondering about the comment by anonymous Dated Nov 7. Obviously not much of a sense of humor...as a matter of fact...sounds like something very personal and totally unjustified. I am a boomer and I can identify with and laugh about this one!!!

Hey Boomers...When we are born we cry and those around us smile...When we die those around us cry and we smile.
This made me smile, I enjoy life and all it's wonderful benefits. I'm looking foward to all the trimmings of what life offers me.

TOO BAD THERE ISN'T AN EXERCISE MACHINE FOR THE BRAIN! BABY-BOOMERS ARE THE WORST GENERATION IN RECENT HISTORY; AND THEY HAVE BEGOTTEN THE WORST SCENARIO FOR DEALING WITH PROBLEMS SINCE MOHAMMAD GRACED THE WORLD WITH FEEL GOOD RELIGIOUS PAP!

SORRY, BUT I SHOULD KNOW! MY PARENTS ARE BABY-BOOMERS AND THEY CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED TO THEIR GENERATION!

AS FOR THE ANIMATED VIDEO! THIS IS WHAT THEY HAVE LAID CLAIM TO! THE VIRTUE OF BEING OLDER! WHAT AN ACCOMPLISHMENT! VICTIMS ALL OVER AGAIN!

It would appear that "Anonymous" has made a painfully embarrassing attempt to write some scathing blank verse. The outcome? It's blank, utterly blank, but hardly scathing, given the vocabulary.

Amanda...the problem with Baby Boomers is that we had kids and decided that being disciplined and learning right from wrong wasn't a top priority.

Keep in mind:

Baby boomers created welfare as a hand up...the next generation turned it into a hand out.

Baby Boomers created the technology that the next generation has turned into an excuse for not leaving the house.

While you are busy bashing Baby Boomers, remember that if it weren't for Baby Boomers, you wouldn't have the freedom to spout your uneducated (not referring to school) opinion about something you have never experienced, nor would you have the ability to post your opinion on this web site. If you want to complain about Baby Boomers screwing things up, why don't you and your generation do something to change it...like VOTE!

The music is better than most they can come up with these days.

Pretty humorous little ditty.

As for those that left negative comments, I'm glad I don't know you. There must really be something major lacking in your lives too be so negative over something like this cartoon.
Sorry you are so miserable.

It took me thirty minutes to write this post... I was laughing too hard to do it sooner.
Anonymous ..........
You are a pickle-puss. Always one in the crowd, it seems.
I am sorry you are so unhappy.
However, you probably deserve that.

Slightly humorous, but mostly for OLD people.
************
Quadruple ha ha's
I PRESUME YOU ARE NOT PLANNING TO GET OLD.
WITH YOUR DUMB ATTITUDE YOU PROBABLY WON'T.

Outstanding animation! You Baby Boomers are born survivors with a great sense of humor.

I AGREE ... I AGREE.....
BUT YOU YOU SHOULD HAVE ADDED... PROBABLY IMPOTENT AND HAS NOT HAD A DATE IN FORTY YEARS.

Excellent tune! Also a pretty funny and very true depiction of us boomers. I like it.

For the negative naysayers I would guess you are conservitive republicans, still believe there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, alcieda (sp) was rampent in Iraq before the war, conservitive Christians walk on water, your poop doesn't stink, Dick Chenney is a saint and George Bush is king.. It is ok to not agree with 98% of us as it our right to not agree with you.

This is Sooooo me and the hubby. Loved it. Still laughing.

I *loved* it. As a boomer baby, I just want to say that AARP gave me a *huge* discount on my motorcycle insurance! Don't laugh. It's the truth! Boomers Rule!

FROM: NANCY - WEST PALM BEACH, FL

FOR ALL OF YOU WHO HAD NEGATIVE COMMENTS --
MAN, HOW ABOUT LIGHTENING UP AND GETTING
A SENSE OF HUMOR?????????? EVEN IF YOU CAN'T
RELATE, WHO SAID YOU CAN'T HAVE A GOOD LAUGH??
ESPECIALLY YOU, MR IDIOT (I MEAN "ANONYMOUS")

Laughed till i cried, Memories of a time not forgotten, our wedding song was Born to be wild, and we are boomers, card carrying hippies. Livin and loven the dream. Flower power.

Kinda tired of the continual put downs. I applaud all of the over 50ies that continue to try and stay healthy and maintain a great lifestyle. Get some new material...This has been beat to death.

I just had to comment on this. I am most definately a boomer, born in '46. Some of didn't get high, were far from being spoiled, and at this time in our life are trying to get by on a small pension so we don't get tummy tucks and implants. However, thought it was quite funny none the less.

I'm not a boomer baby,I came before your lot. You make smoking and snorting seem like it was cool. Guess what ,todays group of idiots is a direct result of your so called funny ways. You reap what ye sow ! Thanks for destroying all the hard work we before you had hoped you could handle.
God save this earth from ourselfs !

hay nancy BITE ME YOU OLD $#@#$

Hilarious and funny ... still laughing!

right--over the hill !

Obviously Anonymous feels a bit threatened by this cartoon. Could it be hitting a little to close to home? Or is he disappointed and or jealous that he can not come up with anything like that. I personally found the 'cartoon' quite amusing and I didn't feel a bit threatened or intimiated by it.

funny yes, but its not so funny when you relate baby boomers to the fall of democracy we are currently experiencing. i know some of you arent hurt by rising fuel prices or energy costs but not all of us are as overpaid and under stressed as the selfish fifties and sixties children... who now spend and burn at will.

freedom of speech - lost no more ho ho ho, Santa? you must say ha ha ha (way to go Australia!!! (this isnt set in stone yet, just today's headlines)

the time of music and movies shows the freedom movement succeeded but to what end? just about every young person talks with a filthy mouth and there are more angry non-caucasions now who have the time to complain and lobby against laws that worked for nearly 200 years. more school violence... we could go on all day and night about problems

hillary knocks down Amercan flags, a sign for you of a group of people wanting to build their own country and destroy this one in the process...

so to those in office: legalize illegal immigrants so my kids cant get state funded health care, let those foreign-born or us-born kids who arent speaking english use those tax dollars we put away... sounds like a good deal.
they earned the free ride right? they are just so special

you join politics to do what? add corruption and profit from the lesser minded individuals

i was not offended by the cartoon, its a nice piece of work, very clever and funny, but that generation takes pride in being doped out and turning tricks that should be excused because they are older now? you were a doper, you bled the system and now you drain the resources while you rake in a 6 figure political income

shame on you boomers, the world is ours now and you wont die fast enough for generation x to profit. take that money to the grave, its better off. we would just pay bills with it, who wants to do that?!

im done rambling
next show in one hour
excuse spelling or grammatical errors, im not as anal as you
Çraig

I love this!! It is so true... :-)
Thanks fo rthe good laugh!

PLEASE TAKE A LUDE AND RELAX

Might as well laugh our way out, we're the lucky ones. We're still in the hurlyburly. Thanks!

toooooo funny, and sad, but, well true....much to my dismay

This was Great! And all of it true, what a shame............
Thanks for the laugh. BTW, Anonymous must have lost any & all sense of humor, if he/she ever had one.......too bad

the comment I made about Anonymous, is the Post on Nov. 7th...had to clear that up. :)

Steriotypical ? Get with it you old farts. It's more like QUADROPHONIC or SURROUNDSOUNDIC or IMMERSIONSOUNDIC.

75yr and 62yr Lovebirds

How can I download this and show it at my reunion?

Funny parody! I've got the original "Born to be Wild" by Steppenwolf on VINYL! LOL Anyone my age who doesn't see or get the humor of this needs to take a chill pill or a toke and lighten the hell up!!! :)

amanda must be my EX-daughter in law....see she's still on her soap-box

Thanks for the laughs Ijust retired everything is true .Do More it made my day. Love LoL

very clever...and WAY too close to home!!

Love it!

A hoot and a holler. Getting older is tough but the
alternative is dead.

Great work! Anonymous - take two chill pills and call me in the morning.

Jeez, people, lighten up! This wasn't meant to be a social commentary; just a funny piece. All the name-calling is unnecessary. Mr. Tom, my husband and I came before the baby boomers, too, but we don't blame the entire group for the ills of today. Sonoita Slim, what makes you think a conservative Republican (minus the rest) wouldn't think this is funny? And by the way, we get regular exercise, take no prescription drugs, have normal/nearly normal blood pressure, normal cholesterol and we enjoy life. That includes laughing at truly funny stuff...including some of the comments here.

This is just another lame, pitiful attempt to exploit the real-life pains-in-the-ass which afflict soon-to-be-seniors.
Not funny. Stupid,immature,inane,but n o t funny!!

wow, couldnt stop laughing, its so true,we were once wild, thank you lots, we need humor, to keep us going. thank you again

Handelsman is a moron!!!

I want to send this to my boss who is designing college classes with Boomers in mind...she will love it!

OKKKKAYYY!! that was- without a doubt- the funniest thing I have ever seen on the i-net!!!!!xoxoxxo

This was absolutely terrific. I have never laughed so hard. I can relate to some of it, but just the song and the lyrics were wonderful.

Well, I thought it was funny and had a great time -- until I started reading the comments!

So much hate and rudeness -- that's the younger crowd for you.

I can view and hear the videos but I can't view and hear the animations. Why not? I have the latest version of flash back
installed.

I thought Im would split a gut watching this video. It's right on & so true..lol
If we can't laugh at ourself then we must be really sad .... Keep up the good work.

That was hilarious! Anyone who thought this was not funny *cough, cough Anonymous* needs to LIGHTEN UP!!! Perfect, loved it!!!

STUPID......STUPID.....STUPID

This made me laugh hard. I am 61 and proud to
have survived six decades. The video is delightful. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.
Sandy

To Son of a fifties father:

You haven't learned anything! You haven't learned it from your peers and you certainly haven't learned it from your FATHER!

Great work, if you can't laugh at this then you really need to get on the treadmill!

Great sing along .......but I forget the words

What a great animation, as one of the baby boomers, I can relate to it, we have been the biggest demographic influencing the economy for 60 years now, but, we are for the first time all in the same buying demographic at the same time and that is aging or more correctly stated the "anti-aging market", keep up the great posts. In today's bad news days we need some lightheated reading and viewing
Thanks

Speak for yourself. You're sure not talking about me or anyone of my age group I know.

I find it extremely sad that anomynous signed as 'anomynous' if he or she really felt that way. I believe that it's plain and simple -- he/she had fear to expose themselves as the writer. I'm sure that the upbringing that he/she had was sad in one way or another in that he/she never was capable to laugh at himself/herself. Something is wrong deep, deep in this indivudal's heart if something like this doesn't at least put a smile on his/her face.

I'm not upset or angry with this person. I truly feel sorry for him/her.

Dear annonymous,
I enjoyed your psychobable as much as the video...thanks for boosting my immune system.

OMG, Some of you people need to grow a sense of humor....either that or you're too old to remember what one is. I thought it was priceless! Great stuff! :D

That was freaking funny!! I sent it to my parents right away..they should get a good laugh out of it. I'm sure they still have their sense of humor. Great job!!!

I want to hate this but as a boomer with a triple bypass and having just left the gym and having stopped at CVS to get my Cialis script.........I suppose I just have to laugh

Sorry to say, yep, got some of it. Ver Vase? we come we partake we die...such is life..in the fast lane...yow!

I'm a 35 yr old baby of a boomer. This is great, just a shame the ones who don't get it have to mouth off instead of going their own way. I hope some one can find humor in our generation the same as Walt has done. Great job! and to everyone else unless your willing to do it...don't criticize it.

Just turned 60 this year. Friends are talking about when to take Social Security. But if I close my eyes, I remember how it was to be in San Francisco in the late '60's with flowers in my hair. It has been quite a ride and I look forward to many more years, warts and all. The video was hilarious. I sent it to all of my friends.

I'm a 32 yr old of a boomer. I think it's hilarious! And i'm forwarding it to my mom right now!

laugh laugh laugh and live! Be happy and positive and you will live a fuller richer life. try it you might like it.

Anonymous, take a viagra, call Sara after she's had her motrin, and the two of you have some stupid phone sex. Your anger will kill you before you have a chance to enjoy what we BB's know.
This was funny. We're not old; we're just making the best of what's not already been fried.....I laughed, and it looks, from all the comments, that I'm not alone. All together Now!!.."We all live in a yellow submarine, yellow submarine, yellow submarine...." Hellllllllloooooooooooooo!!!! Fellow 49ers. LH (It's the Merlot talking).

cute very cute :B

As usual the ones with zero sense of humor and even less sense remain anonymous. If you can't sign your name to it don't say it.

This is hysterical. I'm 54, and laughed till my eyes watered. Too bad thr very few who commented negatively didn't see the humor in this piece. Jeez.............. lighten up! Laughter is good for the soul.

Boy, does this look familiar. Oh well, laugh and let laugh.

This native San Franciscan(on East Coast since I was 27)born in 46, can relate to this FUNNY cartoon!! I had good schooling, am very logical, & have a nifty sense of humor, mostly thanks to my Dad who was Irish American. Middle-class Nana to 2 sweeties; officer in a few clubs; watercolor painter. Never dropped acid(smoked a little weed), always had a job & was college educated. A majority of Boomers are responsible folks & weren't spoiled. BUT I think we DO skid to a halt when we think that soon we'll be collecting Social Security! Already?!? I LOVE to exercise to 60's music--"Born to Be Wild" is a lot of folks' alter ego as was "Magic Carpet Ride" & tons of Motown. With all the seriousness of life & all the seriously "brain deficient" in D.C., humor gets one through the day! So, eat chocolate, laugh, read, think, exercise, hug your spouse often & also your friends, kids, & grandkids. Each day IS a precious gift that comes with laughs too! What more could we want?

Just what I needed after a hard day's work! It's a wonderful paraody and I , as a baby boomer, was not offended one little bit! I think many of us need to laugh more!

I am sooooooooooooo there! Did you do any on the Internet Dating?.... all the guy baby boomers say they are handsome and athletic and they look like the guy in the cartoon and they all say their body and mind are younger than they are..... so they need a younger slender woman........... HA...... and the women don't want to say it on their ads, but they need a man about 20 years younger to keep up with them...Yeah.... Boomers we ARE! and the gyms are filled to prove it! That MUSIC will be playing in my head for the next 2 days. LOVE IT!

This was great keep up the great work. Yes this is so true.

Suddenly I don't feel alone :-) Really funny!

As a Boomer, I definitely related to the cartoon, minus some of the medical stuff....at least not yet! And even MORE, I enjoyed reading everyone's comments. Living overseas now, I miss talking and relating with other U.S. boomers 'coming of age' in the late '60's-early '70's. Do any of you know of a chat room or other such site that I can join to communicate with other people that love to occasionally recall the "daze" when our minds were young and blown???

It's a pity when people cannot laugh at themselves or laugh with the people who identify with this cartoon. We all know that the music in this cartoon is better that so much that is on the airwaves now, this was an anthem of the times then and should be now. Boomers had alot to say during the hippie times and it would be to our advantage to listen to aging (sigh) Boomers again even if you have to catch them while they are on the treadmill.

That is, if you get them to stop laughing about this cartoon!

I laughed and laughed, all us 1945/6/7ers, mind you mustnt laugh too much like coughing, ah well, as they say Old age isnt for the feint hearted.

that was cool you made me laugh

that was cool you made me laugh

I'm such an old fart (76) that I still use a dial up connection. I have read all the comments and the cartoon is still only 57 percent loaded! I already love it! I guess my five kids must all be "boomers" and not one of them has ever been in jail. How boring! The weather man says today will be nice so I'll get out the Goldwing and go for a little ride after breakfast. Don't complain about your aches and pains folks, that's the penalty you pay for not dying! Keep smiling, it drives the grumps crazy!

Fantastic video my Mom always said laughter is the best medicine and I sure did laugh. All you negative people lighten up life is to short to take it so seriously.

THank you for making me smile. I am a Geriatric Nurse and I know most of those I take care of would laugh so hard at this. A little humor is always good!!!!!!

Anonymous needs to lighten up a little and get a life. A sense of humor will add years to his or her life.

I'm a boomer but I must have come from outer space, because to me, there was nothing funny about that cartoon. The animation aside, the music was lame and the lyrics were, at best, strained. I'm amazed at what some people will find funny. I realize we have to enjoy life and laughing at the human condition is part of it, but, seriously, can someone explain to me why THAT was funny? It's gotta be me. To all my emailing friends: I really wish you'd stop sending me fwds of these time-wasters. Please spare me. It's a shame so many un-funny nerds and I've-got-nothing-else-to-do former soccer-moms are filling Al Gore's Internet with dribble such as this, and the oh-so-dreaded 'lists' of things that they find funny! Arrrgggghh

Great animation, and the voices rocked, too. I am interested all things Baby Boomer, so thanks!

Hey...if it made you laugh you'll lieve 8 more years! Take it or leave it....Dona

I have to agree with Amazed. The number of responses that were "LOL", "laughed and laughed and laughed"...please. This was pretty weak material. And yes, I've got a great sense of humor and a very positive oulook on life....this just wasn't that funny. BTW, if you're 71, you're not a boomer. This would explain why you didn't relate to ANY of it. Maybe the fact that I'm a late boomer (1959) means I wasn't spaced out in the 60s like the older side of the set. Anyway, I'm still amazed at how little it takes to make some people "laugh and laugh and laugh".
Signed,
NOT Tubby, Bored, or Mild

Funny stuff Do you contract animation I'm making a Documentary film on Obesity and need soom animation would you be intested please e-mail me Thanks Tom

"stereotypical psychobabble........" Ya think?

Hey, aging is easier if you can laugh about it. I resemble those remarks!

If you didn't find this at least entertaining, you are ready for a visit to your proctologist!

I usually don't even open this kind of e-mail------
Sure am glad I did!!!!----Outstanding!!!----
I'm sure I'll chuckle long and often.----
Have never responded to a blog before, but you need to know how appreciated your gift of laughter is!!!-----
Keep up the good work----I'll be checking back for more chuckles.---Thanks---

I have to agree with Amazed, I found absolutely nothing funny about this and can't understand all the 'I laughed and laughed and laughed' comments, including those of the person who forwarded it to me! I was born in 1952 and can completely identify with the whole boomer secenario, such as being a teenager in the 60s and its music, fashions and druggy experiences, as well as everything that's happened in the world since then. I'm not fat or out of shape, I have a very healthy lifestyle and look like I'm in my 30s rather than in my 50s so don't have to 'struggle to stay young', and don't take meds of any kind, so I can't identify with anything about this video - and I'm sure there are thousands more like me! The animation is cute and very well done, but everything else about this video is so lame - sorry!

Sad but true...

I laughed - Yes I thought it was funny - true no - but - funny Yes. It's just a silly song - Have you ever played "There Coming to Take me Away" Backwards???????? I laughed at that too!!!!!

This is funny! Thanks for the laughs!!

Thank you gothicdragon!!!

Now, in my humble opinion...if you want to see FUNNY...
You HAVE to see this video.
Jeff Dunham (ventriloquist)- Achmed the Dead Terrorist
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uwOL4rB-go

LMAO

Yes it was funny. Yes it was stereotyping. But sad is the boomer that can't laugh at him or herself. Better to embrace the inevitable with humor than to hopelessly strive to be taken for a twenty-something. Be grateful for all of your experience, trials and tribulations. Be grateful that your youthful mistakes are behind you. Regression and regret - Useless! A sense of humor and an open mind - Right on!

As one of the baby first baby boomers (conceived the night the end of the war was announced), I thought the animation was great! I, and my friends, lived through (and are still living through) all that was mentioned. Thank Goodness we're able to laugh at the ripe old age of 61!

If it is 'psychobabble' (per Anonymous - Nov. 7), it's fun.

I and my friends (the old baby boomers) are just happy to be alive and still going strong - it has nothing to do with refusing to grow old. We just don't want to "grow up".

;-)

Not quite there yet but this is great! I sent it to all my "boomer" and soon to be "boomer" friends. You've got to have a sense of humor......that's what really keeps you young!

Life is short
Break the rules
Forgive quickly
Kiss slowly
Laugh uncontrollably
And never regret anything that made you smile!

Hey, I heard Tim Russert say on Meet the Press," Boomers are the last generation to be cooler than their kids."

This was cute and way too close to home.

anonymous and sarah need to start a therapy group with professional help. If we get to our age and can't laugh at
ourselves we are in for a tough road ahead. Go count your blessings, look at your wonderful memories and find some new "boomer" friends.

CK

I caught myself laughing hysterically then watched a second time and it only gets better.

Too bad all those grumpy people just don't get it. They really should be nicer :)

Now THAT was FUNNY! I'm 39, my parents are in their early 60's... I get it! I have to say, however, they are not bored or mild. My dad is a bit 'tubby' though.... LOL Great job. Keep up the great work! :)

pretty cool!.......I was born near the end of the boom but I have
my older sister to thank for keeping me in touch!

This is wonderful. I haven't laughed this much in a long time. Thanks for the laughs and keep it up.

This was hilarious, I am forwarding this to my brothers who were Woodstock guys. This was a great era, so much love compared to today's society.

Love & Laughter!!!!

To Amazed, Also: Amazed, Son of Amazed, the Bride of Amazed, et al, to include Gothic Dragon ("which of these does not belong?") . . .

You folks entirely miss the point; it's not about YOU; it's about "US". And by "US", I mean the entirity of the boomer generation, MANY (not ALL) of which are easily identified among the multiple stereotypes presented. There seem to be 2 consistent themes (or groups) in all of the "I don't see anything funny" posts. First are the "olders" who THEMSELVES are (at least, in their own opinion) in good shape, didn't do drugs, etc. Bully for them! But could ANYONE be 50 or 57 or whatever and NOT know SEVERAL people who fall into the depicted roles? Not if they lived in the US! Don't take it so personally guys. Everyone else see's how attractive, fit and healthy YOU are . . . and, if you have any doubts, just take another look in the mirror - GOSH, you're looking good!

The second group that appears to be taking "pot shots" (no pun intended) is the "youngers" who aren't there yet. To all of them - if you don't "get it" - just leave it along and go play with your iphones. This is nothing more than generational humor intended for those of us "of a certain age" and although many of you are perceptive enough to get it - even if you may not find it particularly funny or interesting, many will not. Us "olders" will make you a deal: we promise not to care whether you get it or not if you will simply keep your critiques of it to yourselves. Much like you don't care to hear the criticisms of us about why all of you walk around in public places looking into your palms when you could actually be talking in person to real humans right next to you. We know you don't care! Is it so hard to understand that we realy don't care about your criticisms of our lives?

Oh . . . and for Amazed . . . I think "drivel" is the word you were looking for. "Dribble" is what the Globetrotters used to do around the hapless Washington Generals. You know . . . before Meadowlark Lemon threw the bucket of confetti on the unsuspecting guy in the audience . . . oh, forget it.

I very impresive great cartoon we are growing arround 220 per hour for las 2 years. We are going to be 50%of the population in the USA. very soon , We should do "calcium scorring in all baby boomers " cost $99.00 dollars in my town, this will tell you the risk of heart disease ,we dont have to died early for a suprise heart attack,DO YOU CACIUM SCORRING. and be proud to be a boomer and control global warming.Live longer we are smart

FUNNY, FUNNY, FUNNY..REMINDS ME OF A FEW FRIENDS...

LOL Amazed Also! Thanks for the link to Achmed the Dead Terrorist - it was much funnier than the above video!

Really, what I found so bemusing and even slightly offensive about the above video, is that it all seems much more aimed at people in their 70s or 80s or over, than those in their 50s-early 60s, ie us Boomers. I mean, come on, referring to people in our age group as 'spry'??? Or that we need mobility scooters to get around? (I still ride motorbikes, as does my husband and most of our friends...)

Remember - "He who laughs lasts."

I totally agree, based on the statistics, to be aware of your potential for heart disease is not only smart, but necessary. The rate that the baby boomers are falling within the range of possible heart problems is increasing dramatically. A calcium scoring test is the most cost efficient way to put your mind at ease.

Love it...
Never did the drug stuff but did run pretty wild, @ times...WheW !!

Thanks...

Hysterical!

a propos
samira

Sooooo funny! Thanks for the uplift it gave me. Boy can I relate to this one. lol. Thanks bunches, Jeri

Hits the nail right on the head. Just turned 60 this week. Seems like just yesterday I was getting high. Oh, it was yesterday...LOL

Walt

Well done and dead-on. I can accept all the insults of old age as long as I can keep laughing.

I only had one knee replaced, but right on!!!! great

the first comment by anonymous, right back at 'cha you great big dork. What you said about him is what the rest of us think about you. Lighten up. ....go soak you're head or maybe that is you problem, you already have. You can't be a boomer and say things like that.....so shut yer pie hole.

one more thing, maybe the fact that he is so successful irks you a wee bit ????? teeheehee

to the first anonymous......

absolutely wonderful.Bravo to you Walt.Great sense of humor.I laughed till I cried.I'm 58 .

Being close to the last of the boomers (1956) I'm happy that I can't relate to the symptoms just yet...so the animation and lyrics are funny.

wonderful humor - thanks... all of my coworkers were wondering what was so funny as they walked past me - i forwarded it to them... it hit the nail on the head... thanks.

I'm a boomer and I thought it was funny. Stereotyped, but funny. It also occured to me that most of it could apply to the 20-twenty something schlubs that I see. Prostates notwithstanding. I cannot even imagine what they are going to look and feel like in the "golden years".

I think I'll go watch GREASE with my surround sound turned all the way up . . . then cry with a smile at the bittersweet truth.
Wouldn't have missed it for the world and feel sorry for other generations with NO real identity while straining for ethics.

Since I was not born rich, beautiful, famous, two-headed or sufficiently disabled, I have to keep working for a living. I just turned 50 the other day (I am appalled to have to say that number! I am my PARENTS!) but REFUSE to join AARP. 50 is the new 30...and the word "retirement" is not in my vocabulary. Partly because we got screwed and will probably never see Social Security...so, all you "Late Boomers" (at the tail end, like me), keep your gym memberships and do whatever it takes to feel and look young, because unless there's a nuclear war, we will be working for many, many more years...and yeah, the animated video was cute...but it was not "ME"!!

This is so true, I laugh so hard.. but you don't have to give up everything!!!!!1

http://weblogs.newsday.com/news/opinion/walthandelsman/blog/2007/11/animation_baby_boomers.html what can i say tis right up my alley puts a whole new meaning to lmao... i am 67 a true baby boomer born in 1940.. just before pearl harbor...im like a timex.. i take a licking an keep on ticking.... god what fun a computer can bring ..thank you an anomous get your self a life relax snooze and always remember when you get there... There you are.....i have not laughed so hard in a very long time..

This Cartoon is so True ! There are several friens and relatives that are in this category. Myself, this keeps me aware or vigilent of the future and put a smile on my face in acceptance of these facts in this cartoon. I have dealt with seniors ...most of them Veterans...who have gone through all of these cycles. This population is ever growing. The younger generation is not ready to accept the responsibility of caring for these baby boomers when most of them are already going through re-hab to solve their own problems...which they can't solve. It raises the question..."Who will be there to Care?" I am sending this cartoon to others...since it does inform and entertain. Kudos to the Creator of this Powerful ...Funny Message. Thank You !

Well.........Sounds like you guys were spying on me because I can really relate to all of it, great job. And for the ones that didn't like it, I guess we will have to find out what period they are from and come up with another. But it sounds like they are still on their period.

C&C

One of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. Especially working in the healthcare field.

Thanks that was soooo funny I was laughing out loud.

Hysterical!!! Seems to me that SOME of the people whose responses were so serious, were probably old WAY before they hit the age they are now!!

Cartoons are EXAGGERATIONS of truths people...laugh!!!! If it's you be grateful you can still get on that treadmill, if it's NOT you, be grateful...the alternative sucks even more than getting old!!!

I'm of the "we may have to GET old but we don't have BE old/grow up" philosophy!! Lighten up - live, live, laugh AND DANCE!!!!

Its so true that it makes you sick

Anonymous dated Nov. 7 needs to get a life or get laid!! That video was really funny and I enjoyed the hell out of it. I refuse to be an OLD BOOMER!!! I am still 20 in my mind and love life, and enjoy sharing the "good ole days" with my 16 year old. She is a big fan of 60's and 70's music. Sure beats the crap they listen to today. Hey, wait a minute where have I heard that prase before??

Hey Ya'll, leave anon alone, "it" is just expressing an opinion. You should all be back at work anyway, instead surfing this sewer web stuff and actually enjoying life. Anon, report to my office once you squeeze out of your rotten stump.

more crap to clog the internet

This was so hillarious.....It's interesting to see what all of us in this particular generation felt when ELVIS hit the scene......Our parents were thinking we were Devil Worshipers with the Beetles....I miss those days of carefree, love filled lives we all lived. Feel deeply sorry for those just starting out and seeing what our GOVT. has been doing to us....Keep well and keep smiling.....Remember you're inner values & pass them on.....

I'm older than the baby boomers of today, but this was absolutely hilarious. I didn't smoke pot, do acid or any of that stuff, but I sure had some good times. Great job, thanks

Anonymous I - re: your Nov. 7th post - get a life...please.

If nothing else, the work it took for the animation and music with it is worth some applause - not anything I'd ever be able to do, that's for sure. And, obw, it is pretty funny and we're all closer than we're willing to admit about reaching the magical AARP age!

Thanks Walt for sharing your talent and energies - you have a great smile, reflecting your sense of humour ... I thought it was fun. entertaining and it made me chuckle. Interesting though how some of us don't see ourselves - as the cartoon suggests, we still want another shot at the bat, fall madly in love, laugh, dance, ski, boat, golf, party, entertain, enjoy nature, music, dogs, great friends, kids, good food and good wine, candles, etc .. and all the while wanting to continue to learn and grow and make some kind of meaningful contribution to other's lives. As a group we have created an incredible legacy ... I'm still working on mine - and humour is one of the best things we can pass on to others ...
Thanks for doing just that ....

I'm a California baby boomer still going stronge and loving life!
I laughed so hard because it's too close to the true!

Great one!

Great fun - maybe ananymous and Sara should have coffee and perhaps they will get laid and be able to smile and remember the moment with grace and charm

I found this very funny; if you can't laugh at yourself, my sense is that advancing age will be very lonely. The song and cartoons were well done and in good taste; lets not be overly PC!

If those offended would consider that it's just a cartoon telling a silly joke. I do understand what the joke implies but if we manage a plan of physical action we can avoid these typical conditions. At 45 years old, and although have occasional aches and pains, I am in good physical condition because I make the time to workout and eat healthy as I can.

Great and very enjoyable.

Good job.

Those of you who are offended: Go light up a fattie and watch it again

funny fun...am of the boomer generation here! Some here are saying they are boomers and really are not. Baby boomers were the kids that were born AFTER the war, not during it. And I remember boomers were only supposed to be around six years after the war, but today they are including all kids born up to the 1960...does that sound right? So what is a real baby boomer?

Hey everyone stop judging and criticizing each other....and that means all of us!

Peace, Love, Flowers, and Haight Ashbury!

note to :lightshow 11/16

Your definition of Baby Boomer is in harmony with mine ... I was born in 1946, We are baby boomers, with Elvis, Gidgit, American Bandstand, Bobby Darren, Annette, Ricky Nelson, the Everley Brothers etc. It was the best time to have been born and to grow up with safe neighbourhoods, kids playing on the street, coming in when the street lights went on .... "the good old days"....
this animated cartoon is meant to be funny - and it is ....

To laugh is a tonic, in a world where there is so much sad serious stuff going on to laugh & to create humour is very important.
These few above who complain do so little to liven the lives of others they should be ignored.Laugh and the world laughs with you , cry & you cry alone !!

Keep a sense of humor folks, it will carry you through life much farther than a s@#$$y attitude. Far less stress too.

Funny, I related to it (I'm 59) but thought it was trite. I was and to some extent, still am an idealist who once hoped that we would be the generation to break through and allow for differences. A difference of opinion by a couple of individuals aroused way too much animosity. For a bunch of supposedly hip non-conformists, we sure have come to demand conformity.

Hey Anonymous! (Nov 7th) -You are a real ASS... You must stay up nites to become so jealous of others because you can't add something to this world except venom.

the anonymous person at the top sounds very sad - is that why he doesn't give a name - please it has to be a guy.

Loved it! Sure do miss those days.......sigh.

baby boomers really hit home but it's good to be able to laugh at yourself.

anonymous probably has a house full of guns and links to all the porn sites.

this was really a HOOT. how true . my seaster sent it to me .she has a sick sense of humor .LOL LOL LOL

November 16th:
Maybe Anon.Nov.07...14:31 ...and his buddies should take their heads out of their places where the sun don't shine, and relax.Funniest cartoon I have seen for a long time. Life is short. You came to the party you may as well dance!

meathead, I like you. You must have been reading my thoughts about anonymous because I'm with you all the way. Being on the first list of boomers, I loved this. I really feel good about myself now, because I know I'm not alone in this larger body state.

I enjoyed watching. The animation was funny. I needed a good laugh.

love it, love it, love it.

Ahem...Bud the iowa guy...I hate to be the one to pop your bubble, but you were born in 1940...you're not a baby boomer. (1946-1964 birth years)

"Slightly amusing"...video seems to be geared toward the older group......mobility scooters? spry? Sounds like you're describing my Mom!
Heck, I still jump out of perfectly good airplanes and can still outrun my 17 y/o son in a 100 yd sprint.

Too funny..........made my day. I love that song!

Well, I think you should speak for yourself...I'm an aging "hippie" baby boomer, and I don't look like that or act like that...but, it was funny!!!
Peace to all you Groovy people out there!!

Looked over the comments then watched the short video. I thought it was kinda dumb. Sorry, but don't take this as anything political or religious...I just didn't like it,OK?

Just remember, not all of us baby boomers are in that "shape". A lot of us can give the "X'ers" a run for their money.

Real Boomers are those born in the first 5 or 6 years after WWII. What's this about kids born in the 60's being boomers? More like Boomers' kids.

Me? My 60th birthday is tomorrow, born in a military hospital, the son of a wounded combat vet and an army nurse.

I loved it and laughed my a** off. Too true for too many people!

Thanks for the laughs!

I am a boomer, but never smoked pot or tripped out on acid. There are some of us out there. I guess it is funny to some people. I just thought it was lame. At 60 I am not falling apart nearly as much as this seemed to present. I definitely am not where I was at 40, but I'm doing okay. I guess if you became a couch potato and ate yourself into obesity this is something to identify with.

I could relate to the song more than you would know.
My dearest friend and I were in a nearly fatal car crash in 1968 and Born To Be Wild was playing at the exact time. That I will never forget. Thanks for sharing this w/ me my friend

Just for the record, folks, you're only a Boomer if you were born between 1945 and 1964; anybody who falls outside that 19 year window is not a "Baby Boomer," and most likely wouldn't find any of this even remotely funny unless they live with or know a lot of true Boomers.

I was born in '59, thus making me a "late Boomer," and my kid brother was born in '64, at the absolute tail-end and cut-off point of the Boomer generation. Personally, I thought it was quite a rib-tickling, tongue-in-cheek fun-poke at many in the Boomer generation; despite the fact that it bears no resemblance to me personally (the term "aging gracefully" was invented to describe people like me) I happen to know many people who are just like the cartoon couple, and I'm about to email the link to each and every one of them! Since they all have wickedly sharp senses of humour, I know they'll enjoy it very much indeed!

As for the poor, pitiful and pathetic "anonymous," and his post of November 15, the word is "waste," not "waist," which you would know if you had anything remotely resembling an education. The word, "waist" refers to your midriff, as in "the waistband of your jeans is much too tight, Mr. Muffin-top," and the word, "waste" refers to the decaying mass of putrescent sewage you have stored between your ears. Remember, "anonymous, " "A waist is a terrible thing to mind," so why not take a couple of dozen chill pills, then we won't have to listen to anymore of your pathetic whining and complaining!

Now, if you'll all excuse me, I'm going to go spark up some seriously skunky goodness, then blast some righteous tune-age with my electric guitar and big tube amp...maybe a classic rock anthem from the height of the boomer age! Or, better yet, maybe I'll compose a funeral dirge for "anonymous," since he apparently has never REALLY lived at all!

Thanks to classic rock and darned good genes, I'm staying forever young, and looking it too!

FUNNY? You bet! And I am a PRE-boomer.

Maybe in a little better shape than some of the boomers in that cartoon...so take heart, boomers, you still have a lot of good years left.

I laughed out loud and will send it on for my friends to enjoy.

People please, this is not history written here. It's a cute cartoon. This is the problem with some baby boomers...it's not always about "you" specifically. Why take it so personally. If you don't need Viagra and Motrin, God bless you, there's a lot of you who do though...lol.

Good job Walt. You got a giggle out of me.

And to think I just chose that tune for my cell phone.
It was my tune then and this cartoon does a good job representing us now. Thanks for showing us the humor.

wildrose

Funny stuff too bad there are the few and the grumpy who seem to have lost their sense of humor. Roll one and spark it. Right on Mahon...and thanks for the phunnies Walt..."good shit man".

Dave

Being a "baby boomer", I really enjoyed this....It was fantastic, And the bad thing about it, I could relate to everything!!! Awesome work!!! Thanks for sharing...

first anonymous's words sounded suspiciously like the disgruntled son of boomers who are enjoying life and maybe even kicked him out finally! ROFLOL

I am older than dirt and the boomers are just trying to catch up to me . I have to laugh, they could not understand my aches and pains years ago and now it is their turn and it is all hitting them right on!
None of us escape !!!!
This is sure a cute way to think of getting older and all of this is going to happen to every one , that is for sure- - as they say "- been there-done that"
Thanks for a good chuckle for the day!

Love your cartoon. Can certainly identify. It's good to be able to
laugh at yourself and to know other people share the same humor
as you. Love to see more.

This is great! Amazing how a 'cartoon' set to music will bring out the best and worst in people. Lighten up, laugh - at both yourself and all things funny, enjoy the most out of life as you'll only be going around once........and this once around is much too precious to be hateful, spiteful and petty. So, bring on the cartoons, music, peace, love and ......all that turkey next week!!! Yea!!! Oh, and by the way, the Boomers are from 1946-1964. I'm 1943 - just missed it!

Peace......out......

BIGGEST PIECE OF UN-FUNNY, NON-CREATIVE CRAP I HAVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME...AND I'M STONED RIGHT NOW! HYSTERICAL? LAUGHED OUT LOUD? CHUCKLES? CUTE? TERRIFIC ANIMATION? R U SERIOUS??? WHAT A BUNCHA WITLESS PUTZES AND DIM BULBS. YOU PROBABLY THINK BUSH IS A GREAT PRESIDENT TOO.

Very funny, mostly true!

Lame.

This little bit of "laughing at ourselves" is the best I have seen.
Tell "Anonamous who commented on Nov. 7. 07 to
"LIGHTEN UP AND LAUGH A LITTLE".
Must be an out of work writer, who is the child of baby boomers
and can not stand that they are "LIVIN' IT UP"
Keep up the music and madness, IT' THE GREATEST....
Jo Fannin (Boomer 61)

I enjoyed this cartoon and thought it was funny. If you can't laugh, get a life.

High heels, I'm with you! Comic art EXAGGERATES the truth. I never watch any TV cartoons, but I can see the BB demographic watching a series of boomer cartoons regularly, using these and other characteristic boomer types. Hollywood, take note.

As for those younger-than-boomer types, it is your job to take potshots at your elders. When I was in my twenties, I remember hearing some older woman saying of Jane Fonda--"I can't wait until she starts aging!" Joke's on that woman, as Jane (older than boomer) is still beautiful!

Peace, love and rock 'n roll.
Born in 1946 and proud of it

Clever? Yes.
Could I do better? No.
But is is funny? Not hardly.
At most, vaguely amusing, if one were so disposed.

Poor anonymous boomer--I mothered three boomers and neither they nor I feel the need to respond to it so degradingly! Come on, it's fun to laugh once in awhile!! Mom in sunny Florida!

wow, last comment is obviously a teen ager who thinks it's funny. no I am not jewish... get a grip. hope you live long enough to experience the situation. 40 is the 3 f's fat, flatulent and fatigued, one of my dr's told me her prof in med school told her that at 20. kinda funny...

Nice to see you youngsters finally laughing at yourselves. The beginning of a graceful old age.

I remember Born to be Wild was installed in our High School's jukebox about 1970, approximately 38 years ago. I laugh so hard at the antics of this update version of the old song Born to be Wild. The graphics along with the words used in the song re-write are quite creative along with some truths. I found this newer version quite humerous and refreshing.

As a boomer, I say, how funny!!!!
If anyone thinks the music sucks, they're just way too young to appreciate the music from "our day" !!!!

I can relate. I feel like a 30 something stuck in a 50 something body. Your work is excellen!, Thanks for the smiles.
Class of '69

great that was me then an its me now lol never gave it a thought way back then id get old!! keep up the good work it brought a smile an laugh

Well I for one thought it very enjoyable and creative and for the lame anonymous people who wrote a negative comment about it need to lighten up once in a while and enjoy life. It is these people who are ruining the world! I am a baby boomer and proud of it! Keep up the good work.

Too funny!!! I totally enjoyed this and can relate. I loved it ! Thank you for the laugh! - PS: Annonymous has a stick up its ass and will not live a life filled with laughter!!

Quite funny! I enjoyed it but feel rather sorry for Anonymous there. That one obviously has NO sense of humor! I wish he/she was a happier person!

Keep up the great work....love it!

I wanna say that was terrible
because it was SO TRUE!!!
Had me smiling, laughing & thinking about Merlot. And yeah, the love generation will not quit, even if it takes Viagara
Thank you very much for your humor!

What is so exciting? completely stupid

HAHAHA!!!
I'm a boomer all right--tho' not like the pair in this delightfully goofy cartoon--but if there is one thing I learned in my wild & adventurous trip through and beyond the 60s & 70s it is that we only have THIS MOMENT to live in fully, and if you don't make some good memories then what the heck will you have when you don't have anything else?? And laughing at yourself is part of good memories, believe it or not.

As for 'Born to Be Wild' oh yeah!!! The day I & members of my rock band from the heart of the Midwest first arrived in San Francisco, radios blasting as we crossed the Golden Gate, THIS WAS THE SONG that was playing!! Another wonderful memory.

Very funny, see you Wednesday! Thank God I am not old like you! Very funny dude.

I'm sorry you have such a boring life , were you pick on or something when you were a kid, Life is short, so enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!. If this is all you do is reply to messages, you sure do not have much of a life. I just found this site and all I see is you on all the time. Get out in the world, it is not so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re luckypickens, November 16, 2007, 20:27: "It is these people who are ruining the world!" Oh, so that's the problem: people who do not share your sense of humor. Unfortunately, you are destined for a life of interminable disappointment. It would behoove you to seek professional help.

I was sent this from a friend. I like the baby boomers animation. I sent it to other babyboomers. Thank you for the animation. Great job. Don't let the other's bother you. Put a smile on some of us baby boomers isn't a bad thing.

Unfortunately there is always one person in a crowd that either needs to get a sense of humour, or is in dire need of a warm water enima (or both). Ironic that I am 55, and just finished riding my stationary bike following my knee replacement surgery, and came across this most entertaining, and somewhat true, animation. But in two weeks, I hop back into my brand new Dodge Caravan, head into the city from my paid-for home in the forested countryside, and go back on stage to play my drums in one of my two high energy rock bands. Baby Boomer, and proud of it! Rock On Boomers of the world!

As a great grandmotherr, it is wonderful and too true. great!

And someday soon if we pray hard enough we will finally get to stop hearing aging hippies talking about the friggin' 60s, the most loathsome, self-absorbed era of upper-class pseudo-dissidents of all time. GO TEAM GEN-X!

This is adorable and funny as heck. You are a genius! Keep it up!

Physical old age might be inevitable, but inside we're still the immortal, irreverent rebels! This was hilarious and so true. Think Rolling Stones - I can't wait to see them performing as 78 year olds - they exemplify the Boomer attitude. Rock on, oldsters!
PS. Maybe the critical Anonymous people should get themselves a little of that "green tea".

SOME of you don't know what a Baby Boomer really is...I'm 80 now, and the fun is still going on, and I love to laugh just like I did when I was a beginner Baby Boomer....(BBB) Life is good, and no time to sit and grumble. Lighten up all you sour old People and enjoy the world around you!!!!! THIS WAS great!!!!! AND I'M STILL LAUGHING, SEEING MYSELF IN COMICS !!! THANKS .................

I liked it. It was cute. I am there too. As for an Anonymous, he is obviously young, not there yet, and has a low IQ. That's ok though., he will get better with age.

60's are now 40's. 40's are now 20's.
So it goes. Right on!

This was really funny! I really enjoyed it especially soaking in a hot bath after 60 minutes of racquetball and not being able to move afterwards!

Thank you; that was fabulously funny! Some of the comments must have come from the people that got the 'bad' acid! Rock on.

Took hour and half to load (dial up) but worth twice that time.

ROFLMAOPIMP

THAT WAS A REAL "HOOT'..THANKS FOR SHARING..!!

How this hits so close to home is amazing. I have had two hip replacements, a right shoulder replacement, a colostomy, and I'm getting ready to have my left knee replaced. I fell on my treadmill while it was still running and have a reminder scar to never get on one again. Old? Me? Very much so. I have gone through three walkers. I broke my pelvic bone last Christmas. This Christmas is when I have the knee replacement scheduled. I have a herniated disk in the cervical section of my spine and just recently had a cortisone injection for the pain. Fight it if you must, but you can't stop it. The Old Age Cometh!!!!!

I can't imagine the type of person who would not find that hysterical. It made my day and most likely many more. THANK YOU!!!!!

That's the fact JACK !! superbly hilarious

That was hilarious. I enjoyed it and will pass it on.

What's the matter Sarah and all you other party poopers? Do you think you're much too intellectual for such childish bull? Maybe your boob job went bad or your erectile disfunction is someone else's problem. Yeah, ahum. Okee dokee. You idiots are funnier than the cartoon!!

Very very funny. Loved the musical accompaniment. Good to be able to laugh at oneself. Thanks.

oh my God!!! oh my God!!! oh my God!!! that was sooooooooo damn funny!!!!!!

Walt, what an awesome cartoon :)

ANONYMOUS ... too bad you can't buy yourself a sense of humor. You really could use one.

BORED ... TUBBY ... MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILD!!!! :) :)

I thought it was kind of silly and immature. I didn't laugh even once. Maybe I have been watching too much South Park.

As a new 50 something I found this commentary to be perfect, oh yes your site will be in the hands of all my friends with in the next few minutes....thank you for the hysterical laughter you caused me on this Friday Night....I think I pulled my back .

I am suing you for plagerism! LOL This had to be taken from the book of my life. Great job. And please let the first anonymus poster on Nov. 7th that he needs to get a life. This was hilarious. Thanks

I'll get the merlot..
very cool.
There is hope for all they recognize us!
Thank you

ROFLMAO !!!.....Doesn't describe me though ! The 60's were great but I always made it a point to take good care of myself & my health....... Lifetime member of Weight Watchers, never smoked ANYTHING, never drank alcohol, gym membership since the 70's. Blood pressure same as high school. Been carded when asking for 55+ senior rates !! Me & my like minded pals look YEARS younger than our contemporaries. Still wearing hip huggers & bell bottom jeans only now they call 'em LOW RIDERS & BOOT CUT !! And my students think I'm being so cool & modern !! What goes around comes around !!

Hits way to close to home.

Hilarious!!! Meathead why would a house full of guns have anything to do with anonymous being such a queer. Sound like you & him need to chill and quit being such wimps. Would love to kick both your asses.

THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!! With the rate this world is heading, that came right on time. Thank You Walt, and keep up the good worn.

I am one of the first of the baby boomers (c 1946). I thought this was GREAAAAAAAAAAAAAT! Will forward to all my baby boomer friends.

Loved it. Very creative and funny. But methinks that the Anonymous that didn't like it is probably exactly what this guy is making fun of! I bet's he's 60+ old and flabby.

I'm okay with being old at 50.

Keep up the good work.

Just have to shake my head with disdain at this cartoon. Sorry, but this just doesn't make it. Born In the 50's,enjoyed the 60s and 70's (most definitely a bit too much)still get Grateful Dead music downloaded, go to concerts, and party.. so I'm no where near what this is talking about. Guess it's all attitude, genetics and life. Maybe I'll be singing this tune in 20 years. No reason to get old at this age.

P.S.to Joanne.I'm mid 50's and still weigh the same as I did in high school and in great shape. This cartoon does not describe getting old- it's nothing more than a cliche....You have to choose the way you want to live...

wish i could use a treadmill because of a stroke & foot droup 35yrs ago but get around with the help of a rolator at 63 not going to give up yet & always enjoy a good joke thanks

Too darn much fun! Cute, sassy and lighthearted...and LOVED the handlebars on those scooters! Thanks for the laugh - nice way to close the week :)

I think Anonymous Nov 7th leads a poor sad existance.
Excellent clip, great start to the morning before I get to the e-mails.

this was the funniest i have seen in a long time! you know when we laugh so hard we get the hiccups as well! had me in stiches...posted it to all my nieces and nephews just so they will feel sorry for me....we also need a lot of sympathy! absolutely the best of all of them!!!!
thanks, rebecca!

To CL: Maybe anonymous and Sara should have coffee and get laid...NOW THAT WOULD PROBABLY BE REALLY FUNNY!!!
Enjoyed the cartoon, the music and the memories.

To all: per Wikipedia baby boomers are born between 1946 and 1964. LOOK IT UP

I agree with 'Anonymous'...Nov. 7, 14:31. That Wendy, Nov. 7, 15:31 would think that you, Anonymous, had no sense of humour, demonstrates to me a narrow-minded attitude regarding humour. BORAT tickles my funny-bone and so does Jon Stewart and Rick Mercer and Colbert, and Kathy Jones and Mary Walsh and even Lucy!

The comments here are as funny as the animation is! Hey I am a boomer, and I GET IT. I laughed so hard that tears came running down my face.

You guys that are arguing that you are healthy, not getting old, and NOT LIKE THAT are the point of what Walt is saying

THIS WAS FANTASTIC.....I'M $74.95 PLUS TAX AND LOOK 50
LESS TAX....I ENJOY LIFE TO THE FULLEST....NO IMPLANTS..
USED TO BE A PLAYBOY BUNNY IN THE 60'S AND STILL I LOOK PRETTY HOT.........I GO TO THE GYM 3 TIMES A WEEK
AND DO THE TREADMILL....CABLES...LIFTING...PRESSES...YOGA...U NAME IT.....KEEP THE GOOD WORK GIVING THE YOUNG AT HEART REASON TO LAUGH...!!!!!!!!
darlink.....ma.

So very funny!! I lmao when I saw it! Oh, and congrats for having a Hater, too!! I like what Kat Williams says about those!! People are going to hate you but that is their job.

Just brilliant, what a genius!!!

Lynn
Oz

thats was so cool and so funny and one thing for sure dont be worry about getting old

My mom always said, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." So, anonymous, why waste your time posting nasty comments?
I enjoyed the cartoon. Thanks for making most of us laugh.

loved it.....gonna rehearse this for our ruby wedding anni....the kids will die....but so what we have to listen and watch them wrligge about.... cant wait .

funny, funny I feel like it was me and my husband. You make me laugh early in the morning, thank you

I laughed so hard that I saturated my depends!!!!!!!!

Really cute

Poor Annymous is having issues getting older. This is a great way to start the day! Laughter burns calories, keep laughing!!

I used to be a boomer (born 1944) but then "they" changed the designation and I'm no longer one. I'm still in pretty good shape and walk and swim and loved the entire video. Still laughing. What Social Security?

Laughing is an involuntary action that solely lies within the mind of the amused.
I simply wasn't amused.
Bored, Tubby...mmmm..that's okay.
Mild??????

It seems more people enjoyed it than didn't, so I'll acquiesce a little chuckle.
Nevermind...I take it back. (The chuckle that is.)

I appreciate the talents it takes to come up with something witty and entertaining and maybe moreso, the balls it takes to put it up on the net with one's name....I applaud that.
What I find slightly more amusing is people that feel the need to trash other's whims. The animation (for YOU Sara and anonymous knucklehead) was for US that liked/enjoyed it not for either of you two malcontents that obviously have some problems with elitism or superiorority complexes. You two MIGHT try this for once:

Instead of- making negative comments, judging a person you'll never know and displaying your OWN shortcomings try... watching the video, deciding if you like it or not, comment if you do and move on to the next one if you don't.

Just had to say this was hysterical! I never post comments but this is worth it.

I have to say that I am AMAZED that ANONYMOUS people who didn't enjoy this video would take the time to write such vicious comments...MOVE ON and go change the world then...why waste time posting comments? For those of us who are Baby Boomers..play this again and again...it's a real motivator to get back on the treadmill...AND laugh, laugh laugh...my mother drinks merlot and my father takes viagra...and they still have a life! Personally, never did drugs or was a flower child but it really doesn't matter...it's a CARTOON and it's hilarious and hits the spot..

I loved it. Very funny.

this cartoon was hilarious.
it doesnt mean you did drugs or out of shape it was just right now funny.

it is meant for a laugh and that is what I took away from it.

people lighten up

Tubby Bored ...Wild! Had me rollin!! As I enter that stage of life I find a sense of humor helps!!

For those naysayers: " me thinks thou doth protest too much" In other words you just want the attention, but secretly like the piece. It was good clean 'merican fun. Thanks

Laugh and the world laughs with you! Sounds like Anon. and Sarah are pretty angry...sad! And another thing, what about those who are "above" the humor intended....such as I AM NOT THESE cartoon characters....you get my drift. Really wonderful that some of us 'elders' have PERFECT lives and are in PERFECT health....my, my...how self-centered and self-righteous to hold oneself ABOVE the humor intended in this cartoon, to take this cartoon PERSONALLY and to somehow feel superior.....Really sad! Have as much fun as you can, with disabilities, without.....don't judge anyone and most of all yourselves. LAUGH LAUGH LAUGH....this whole life trip is a big joke anyway! BTW, the cartoon was meant as a literary or musical piece for the intellectuals 'review'....save that for something SERIOUS!

Wow, such a funny lighthearted piece of fluff, and such a reaction.

Yes, this world is being trampled by a hand full of boomers, but they have been picked and trained from a long line of illuminati that goes back to the royalty of europe from way before us boomers.

This is a funny piece about kids for peace.

Had it been a comment made ABOUT A REPUBLICIAN. fOX NEWS WOULD HAVE BEEN ALL OVER IT. AND NO I WOULD NOT VOTE FOR mc cain , he should have said something to the women who made the comment. Its ok for O Rielly AND FOX AND FRIENDS to go on and on BUT i NOTICED IF IT DON'T FIT THERE AGENDA. YOU HEAR NOTHING. GOOD FOR CNN.

11/17

I AM 84 YRS OLD AND FOUND NO AMUSEMENT IN IT.
GOLDEN YEARS...THEY SAY....BULL ROAR..... MORE
LIKE THE RUSTY YRS.

COURSE I SUPPOSE IT DEPENDS ON A LOT OF
CIRCUMSTANCES....LIKE, INCOME, GOVERNMENT,'AND HEALTH. BUT LET ME TELL YOU...USED TO WORK
OUT 3 TIMES A WEEK AND THEN SCREWED UP LEFT
SHOULDER AND NOTHING HAS BEEN THE SAME SINCE.

hi guess i come back to us

Just had the quad by-pass, so I'm holding the pillow to my chest and trying real hard not to laugh.

that was about the cutest thing i've seen and so true being a baby boomer my self. would like to see more like that . thanks for sharing

Mary turned toward the curtain to her boudoir. I had been watching her all through the party that night. I knew, definitely, without doubt. She was the one. I said, "You look good enough to eat." "Eat your heart out," she replied. Then she disappeared behind the curtain. I followed.

I laughed so hard I went thru 2 bottles of oxygen and a box of depends. Now if I can find my glasses I would proof write, who said poof right? who let the gas out? What was I writing about? Oh yeah as I was saying What was I saying?

Well Sara my dear it is not the first time you have said stupid things. I have been in the audience when you were on stage and alot of people walked out. they were younger than us baby boomers so what does that say for you.

I guess making rude comments is better than having a life so get it girl.

I guess they next generation can make comics of hate crimes and games that show degredation of women and out nation.
Hey i guess it works for thm...

I loved it!

Absolutely the funniest thing in ages! Maybe ya have to have vintage tie-dyes in the attic to appreciate it.

This was wonderful and so true. Turning 55 soon and can relate. Didn't do drugs or protest, myself, but did my share of philosophizing in the local cafe. Was amazed at the comments indicating our generation ruined their world and accomplished little. In middle-class mid-America, most of us paid our own way through undergrad and possibly grad school, while working, and then paid for our children's college so they wouldn' t have to struggle like we did. In fact, I still have 8 years remaining of paying school loans for my youngest, and I've been at this most of my adult life. I am still enjoying my challenging career after 30 years. My kids have wonderful families and great careers, and while they may not understand all the sacrifices (time and financial) their parents made, I think they are appreciative. Who can ask for more?

Content aside, but not forgotten, the amount of work it takes to make a flash movie with music can only be appreciated by someone who has tried to do it. It takes hours and hours to perfect these small pieces of entertainment, thanks for sharing your art.

The humor helps most of us laugh at ourselves, which is better than taking a pill or taking our frustrations out on other people.
Many thanks!

Sorry, I don't get it.

not nice poking fun of baby boomers . they may put psylicibin in your coffee or something. we've been getting screwed for 25 yrs even though ppl our own age are in office . they've done everything contrary to what 95% of us baby boomers would ve wanted our country to be like in the 21st century. hell we ain't even in the majority in most cities. as far as younger generatons go most are alien to our way of life & have no respect for our time honored ways & traditions. letting aliens in carte blanche even from the dungheaps of the world was neither propitous or smart without an ellis island facility to deport the sick ,criminals, etc. we fought a war in 1848 over tex & our southern border & now the mex have retaken tex & cal. without firing a shot. in ny where i live there are more pr's than anything else. this is not only a sellout of the baby boomers ,but all generations before them .some who fought & died to keep our country judeo-christian & anglo. they must be spinning in their graves at the outrage. though the cartoon itself is funny & hits the spot. it belies these other facts. i wish i had this guys talent .then you'd see a true rep baby boomer animated clip anonomysly disappointed

I liked it, and laughed a bit. I really don't care if others didn't. Really, we are indidviduals on this planet and like what was fought for in the 60's - 70's. You have a right to your opinion, and remember, we fought very hard for that priveledge, and at other people that attacked us for voicing that opinion. So, if someone doesn't like the little ditty on baby boomers, So what? I liked it, and leave it at that...

I think this was good and so funny. I'm from the baby boomers and it is so true. That is what lifes about. We need a good laugh now and then the way the world is going today. Keep them comming any one who don't like them can just hit delete. Lighten up, and the world is a great place to be and you can enjoy life alot.

Provided my laugh for the day. Some of the previous comments are just too, too heavy. Lighten up and enjoy the senior years. That's why they call them Golden!

Superb------------just been sent it by a friend in the states and am sending it to all my friends here in England----------bet there will be an english version out soon!!

God, I am so sick of these kinds of parodies. It's been done to death! Anyone who still thinks this is funny IS over the hill. Come up with something original-- a classic sign of being old is repeating the same tired stories over and over...

Find it amusing that the people that order Walt to "get a life" obviously took time out of theirs to watch the video...

I'm in that in-between where I'm just starting to realize that my body is slowing down a little, that I'm having to do more to keep it in shape and stay healthy, make those subtle changes while convincing myself that what I'm doing isn't really that bad. Everyone is going to go through this in some form or fashion. I prefer knowing others feel the same way, and this is an excellent way to share it. Thank you!

Every word is true. Getting old does suck. All the things do happen that Walt mentions. The good news is you are in good company because it is happening to all your friends as well. The bad news is that it is happening at all!!! You also get to watch your parents age and become even more decepit than you thought was possible and you KNOW it is going to happen to you!

You all need to lighten up! It is animation ...... a joke ..... a cartoon! I thought it was cute and funny! And the end part on the scooters, that is REALITY! Not for me, but I see it all the time here! I enjoyed this and thank you Walt for sharing this with me/us. I appreciate all the time and effort you put into it. As for the dismal group that did not like it and were offended ............ poo poo to you!

This must have been done by someone who hasn't a clue what it's really like to get old. These years are definitely not golden, thanks to lack of political and economic leadership, health care, etc. It's ok for "us" to make fun of ourselves, but this isn't the way we do it. I get my laughs from knowing if those who "parody" live long enough, they'll experience the same pain and disappointment we do. Ask anyone in a nursing home if they find this funny and I doubt you'll find many who do. Why not spend your time volunteering in a nursing home, and do something meaningful rather than wasting your time with this crap.

I feel so invigorated after watching this!

(P.S. On a business note, your WALT TOONS trademark shown in the beginning of the cartoon should be used with "TM" (or (R) if it is a registered trademark), rather than (C).

Stupid, never got high, never took drugs, don't need a treadmill, because I walk, and I'm ashmed for wasting my time with this nonesense I get in my email. Get a life.............

So True.....very funny....and we ARE actually replacing elbows and knees to keep going...WHY? Because we can!!!!!! Gotta love that graphite.
I work with the elderly....and am very afraid for us boomers when it comes time for us to have long term care, There won't be enough room or enough money to care for us all. I will be wandering homeless taking care of all the boomer old folks in pull ups..... pushing a shopping cart full of remedies for homeless baby boomers. The system can't handle the old folks we have, maybe it's time some of you young folks think of a solution before we start failing We have some time, thanks to Jarvik and Graphite..but the time is getting near!
Dear annoymous..smoke a lil pot and lighten up...sooo cranky!!!!
LOL

Well, I wish I could say it wasn't funny because I don't get it, but it IS funny and I DO get it!! Really, folks, it IS a cartoon and meant to be lighthearted -- all the same, too much of it is true for so many. I am struggling with taking off weight and preventing arthritis from taking over my body. I am stubborn enough to believe I will win -- and I will because I want to!! I plan on LOTS of wonderful retirement years with my fantastic husband, and I'll be damned if I will go gentle into ANY good night -- I will scream bloody murder first!! Have a nice day and SMILE!!!!

I truly feel sorry for Anonymous. Those who can't laugh or find humor in this piece are living a very sorrowful existence. I am a baby boomer and my wife and I still look as if we are in our 40's (well OK maybe 50's). Thanks for the laugh.

Neat, but @ 75 I spend my time how to "Pre-spin Airplane wheels" Just about there, pat pending
Del

I think that was ment for humor and if it was not found then your in the cranky old fart section.

Anonymous one and Sarah Bernhart have lost their senses of humour over the years. Pity life has taken such a toll from them!

Possibly they forgot their meds and just hurt all over! Gosh... if we cannot laugh at ourselves, we are truly miserable creatures of just the sort the neocons like to manipulate.

Now... both of you... face reality. Life is not fun at times. Life is a BLAST at times. We are our past, we are here NOW and what we do NOW influences the future in some small way. That ripple effect, yanno.

NOW... Go to China and enroll in laughing lessons that they teach the people. Yes... learn again. Go stand in a square with hundreds of strangers and learn to laugh on cue! Might be a start...

Personally... I hope to laugh all the way to the next world! Beats whining and winging about! And raining on parades... although I am sure anonymous worked hard to come up with the pseudo intellectual drivel he used to describe what he himself could not create.

I laughed til I cried. Loved it all. And I'm beyond a baby boomer!

OMG, this is too funny! So typical of what I hear fellow boomers talking about. You hit the nail right on the head, you HAVE to be one of us!!!!!! :-) Thanks for the giggle. People who took the time to write and complain have NO sense of humor. Good grief, lighten up!

Hey, This is cute! It lets us laugh at ourselves, while at the same time, it shows that we do care about what happens to our group. Jeez, all the nay-sayers saying "waste of time", "I walk", "not me", what is up with you? If you are that uptight, and high-minded, why did you waste your time in replying? Obviously, you aren't as wonderful as you think you are, and you certainly aren't broad-minded at all, or you wouldn't have bothered to post such drivel to try to rain on other people's parade! It was cute, and it lets us laugh at our own foibles. Let's enjoy life.

OMG This was so funny ... I kept watching it over and over ... i sent it to all my contacts ... had to share it ... was great!

Interesting that the humorless pseudo-intellectuals always post their hateful drivel under "anonomous". Must be angry liberals, how new!

omg.to true.lol.loved it.thanks.

That was GREAT! I can relate to it hahaha. As far as the comment made by Anonymous, his username says it ALL.

Very good, hits the nail on the head..

Never give up. Never surrender.
Take the country back. Vote for Ron Paul.
"The best way to support our troops is to get Ron Paul elected President." Dan Hall.

Fannnnntastic; It won't stop me drinking my glass of Merlot though, I sent it to all my OLD friends, and some young ones too!

"Anonymous" who posted on November 7 obviously has never been to Orange County! This is so true, you obviously have issues with growing old.

tis is so-so true, I'm there and ready to retire but who can afford to! Thank you for sending it to me.

Not too shabby. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Pass it on. !!
Happy Thanksgiving to each and everyone.

....badabing...bada bang...

I totally loved this!!!!

Great cartoon! Laughter is the best medicine! All the positive remarks get my attention!!! Thanks!
Peace Man!
Susan

Well, I'm a liberal, and I'm NOT angry, and I thought it was kind of cute. Certainly not worthy of some of the disdainful comments from pseudo-intellectuals who think they are "above" it. I assume they are part of the younger, spoiled generation (anyone catch Morley Safer's great piece on "60 Minutes" last week?), but...I wouldn't generalize and say all younger folks are like that, because it wouldn't be fair to the ones who aren't. (Just like I wouldn't call all liberals angry and all conservatives mean, though many seem to be.)

Anyhow, I think the cartoon shows pretty good work, and is on the mark in a humorous way with some of its observations, and you know - I fancy myself an part-time intellectual (only listen to NPR talk radio and actually ENJOY some of CSPAN - no, really!), and I thought it was cute. Get over yourselves and relax, people. :)

Thank you. Great laugh. Feels good.

As a tail;ender of the "greatest generation" I must admit to a bit of schadenfreude on seeing the "never trust anyone over 30" crowd get a little good natured skewering. Terrific!

I thought it was really very funny and so true..
I go to Physical Therapy and there is a balance machine there and one of the patients there uses it and she is 80+ years old and she has such a good time that she goes on it a few extra times than she is supposed to. There is a TV morning program on Channel 4 in Charleston SC and they had someone on and they were talking about a 78 year old elderly woman...I am 78 years old and don't consider myself elderly...Getting older, but not elderly...Age is just a number...And life is what you want to make it...So Mister or Miss or Mrs.Anynomous (spelled incorrectly)..Wake up and laugh a lot...Life is too short not to enjoy it not matter what the circumstances are...RBS..

To all the young hooligans out there. As we boomers are now, so shall you be. We may not be the greatest generation, but, hey we´re pretty much running the show, true? No matter who we are we should live our lives with no regrets: boomer and babies and all in between.

Very clever and well phrased.
Not for the humourless, like Anonymous.
BORED.....TUBBY......MILD is excellent parody of the original lyrics.
Keep on creating. You'll never please everyone but you sure did please most of us.

Lighten up DB. This was funny. It you don't like this type of stuff don't bother viewing, or better yet create something better.

Very cool, Dude!!! Keep up the good work... Anonymous posted 11/7 come on man lighten up you can't be serious!!! All of us Baby Boomers & Beyond should unite. Change the USA before we leave the planet.

well, there are certainly a bevy of opinions about a simple cartoon...of course, there is some truth in the energy spent by some "boomers" to keep the outer facade youthful....suntans, long useless but brightly painted fingernails...over-the-top pieces of jewelry around necks.....but the more important is the attitude on the inside....being open to new things, the ones that may make us feel "out of date".....so learn how to deal with computers, DVD players, ipods, text messaging etc. This "pre-boomer" (born 1942) has been making that effort and it makes me feel that much closer to the "kids" I work with, any of which could be my grandchild.....not to say anything against being in good physical condition to keep illness away.....everything in moderation is my motto now.....

I'm sorry; could you repeat that? J/K That was too cute............still waiting for ViAGra for WOMEN. BTW: Isn't it interesting how much attention the miscreants are getting?
LOL

Something is blocking me from watching the cartoon animations.
Can someone suggest something I can do?

Poor Anonymous....guess he/she just cant' seem to laugh at life. He might just be a Baby Boomer in great shape and doesn't appreciate the humor. But, he probably was too "straight" to enjoy being a Baby Boomer at the time anyway. Never smoked. Never protested. Never listened to Taj Mahal, Eric Clapton, Jefferson Airplane. Not going to get too political listening to Charlie Pride! Maybe he should have tuned in on Willie Nelson a little more. Probably never got within 100 feet of a newspaper, either. I wonder which Republican he/she will vote for. Whomever wants to keep the war going so his friends and neighbors can keep going to funerals I suppose.
Lighten up a little and enjoy the ride. Come to think of it, I'll bet he/she isn't a Baby Boomer at all. Take it easy, Anonymous. Do what I do. I'm going out and run for a while; and then maybe light up!

Re: the stereotypical psychobabble.................guy.

Whatayathink--a Phd candidate or has already been awarded his "Piled High & Deep" degree? Possibly a school superintendent. Obviously, someone deeply involved in monitoring the educational and humorous content of the media. Wish I was sa durn smart! hyuk yuk yuk. scuze me, i've gotta go spit in the 'toon. bye all ya sudo pods and sudo intellectuals. you'll come back, ya here.

Hey, wait, I'm Canadian and I thought it was hysterical (not to mention, too true to be good!)...I don't care if people found it funny or not....whatever gets you laughing and appreciating life is good...if you are offended by this, sorry! if you are just bored, don't bother commenting...if you can't laugh at yourself, you are washed up!

No.

Just, no. Not funny.

interesting to note that the sophmoric comments showing no sense of humor and attenpting to indicate a higher intelligence are all ANONYMOUS...how funny is that...lol

Totally!! Totally!!
Don't listen to the dead beats.
It may not be true for everyone but they know someone that can relate.
Excent Job thanks for sharing

This is funny stuf and true for a large portion of us baby boomers. You have to laugh at yourself and enjoy life.

Actually ..... I've changed my mind ..... this is very funny ....
I was feeling lousy when I left my previous comment ....
Because I have no joy ...... and am an overly analytical
self acclaimed hyper-intellectual ...... that is superior to all other beings ....
But since no one is as intelligent as me ......
Of course no one can understand how I feel .....
Do u understand ???
OF COURSE NOT !!!

This is very funny--I turn 60 at the end of November and I'm trying to remember not to lose my sense of humor over this aging thing!! If you don't laugh, you cry and I'd much rather laugh...

older than the average baby boomer
I got it and laughed!

As an aged but loyal member of the San Francisco Flower Generation in the 60's, you've described me well I see that my Harley Davidson Road King will need re-modeling for me to continue riding. That's typical of our generation who for the most part have moved on to become retired or retiring professionals. Loved it.

I am sure that in Annoonymous' case...it is just his heart that is hard anymore!!

I used to party to Born To Be Wild... now in my early 50s this is so sad... funny as all get out, but sad. LOL

Baby Boomers were not protesting in the 60's, they were in high school. If they thought they were hippies it was a style choice. I think that cartoon applies more to my generation, now in our 60's.

I is gots a PHd in Enlish so I ar smater then mos of u, me got a footbal skolar ship, so, evein if it was a furE ryde eye didn have time 2 protest an stuf, cause i was bisy practisun and keypin my graids up sew eye could keyp my draft defirment an woodn hav @ go inn da Arme. Sew bean an indpindent thinkr an knot a Demerkrat or Repudlickon eye c no parte tyeis in dis here kar tune. I find it humeris.

Poor anonymous!!! When they get to the nursing home they will remember and wish they had not been so STUPID and bitter. I have changed lots of diapers for people with that attitude. Laughter is good medicine! My dad passed away at 92 and he could still LAUGH!!!

The last thing we need here is another comment. I just want to get back to my other messages.

Can't wait for my husband to get home to show this to him.
Sounds very much like life around here but without the plastic surgery! Keep singing!

I got this in reply to a an email I sent a high school classmate about a recent two week surf trip I made to Costa Rica with two other Baby Boomers (two 1948 models and one '50 model).

All three of us surfed every day for 14 days straight... BUT we referred to ourselves as Ibuprofen Atheletes with the question being how many Ibus before a session, two or three. In the evening we talked about scoring drugs like Lipitor and Chondroiton and who the best Orthopods were, did Yoga help flexibility and does Chiropractics help athletic performance. The classic aging surfer problem of too much hair on the head for sunscreen lotion but not enough for protection and injuries suffered from shinboning furniture while navigating thru a strange place for the middle night pee.

Yeah, we saw some Baby Boomers for whom this cartoon did not apply, 50 something guys hitting on 20 something chicks..., 50 may be the new 30 seen in a mirror after a couple of six packs but that's the only way. (If your 50 and think you look 30 try rehab.) And we didn't see those guys in the line up next day either... until two days later when they still looked hung over... and 60 something...

Baby Boomers are so real and so funny. Since my Birthday is 1/1/1946 ...I guess I am leading edge Baby Boomer and this cartoon says it like it is....Hooray for us and sorry for the rest of you who didn't experience all the fun we had and are still having..

anonymous... you need to be beaten over the head with a tackhammer, because you are a humorless RETARD!!! Yes this is funny, hence why it's called humor. Do you really think this was supposed to be serious? Also, nice one on the extensive vocabulary, it really shows that you're worth a shit. You probably are some jackass liberal who works at a bank somewhere, so shut the hell up and get me more checks... dumbass.
By the way this video is funny... props to the guy who made this.

OMG Is that me? I was a dedicated gym rat for over 15 years - but dang!

I have to laugh at those who are so offended, aghast, or so "haughtily above it all." It's not humor without a good dose of sterotypical psychobabble.

Humor is the recognition of our human weakness, fears, and failings.

We are so the "me generation."

Dave Greeson...your comment is too true....very funny....and whoever anonymous is a confused dum dum who just uses big words just to use them. who freakin cares about big words when you are trying to put someone down. a good punch in the face is all thats needed.

by the way.....dave greeson you rock since you work next to me.....this rant is nothing compaired to what you are capable of.

and yes i call myself poopie pants......who cares....jackass

Loved it

Walt, I have never laughed so hard for so long in my life. I came close to laughing to death! My stomach cramped up and I had to lay on the floor laughing to keep from falling down. The irony was, I was getting ready to get on my treadmill after I read my emails. Your BBoomers link was in one of them and I lost it! It was better than Woodstock! Your's is The best narrative of our generation's growing up and maturing history. Gregory

At first I was annoyed with the negative comments but then I remembered that when we were in our 20's (which I think most of the nay sayers are) we thought everybody over 30 were brainless old farts who did not have a clue. I take pleasure in knowing that the nay sayers will one day be our age and those much younger will also think they are brainless old farts.

So funny!!! You've got to be able to laugh at yourself as you get older or you will just turn into a grumpy and miserable old person. I think these spoofs on getting older are hilarious.

Some of these comments are "hysterical." It's a bloody cartoon: some find it funny, others not. What is REALLY funny is how some contributors have perverted the course of this blog by taking it upon yourselves to act as self-appointed arbiters of humour. And the vitriol! Hey, do you really want the non-laughers to die slow lonely deaths for failing to be amused? Think: try to be nice.

Another thing: Why the big problem with postings by anonymous? Anonymous is the default name assigned to postings when the blogger leaves the name field blank. The point is, (mostly) you are all anonymous: Jane Doe and Fred from Sheboygan are just handles; you may as well be random numbers. To be not anonymous is to include your true identification, which I do not recommend. As well, throughout the numerous attacks against anonymous, most fail to specify which anonymous. Do you think all are the same? Be specific, e.g., anonymous, date, time.

In summation, get back on track: If you love the cartoon, write something creative about it. Remember English 101: Twenty-five words or less on why I love . . . whatever.

Good luck.

I laughed long and hard at the cartoon and at the comments posted at the end. So much wisdom and humor posted that it warms my heart--thank you. I love a good laugh!

Great laugh! Had to replay and forward to my "wild & mild" friends as this is way too close to home not to enjoy!

I am so very disappointed! All these years I thought I was a Boomer, only to find out today that born in '43 makes me a pre-Boomer. But it also means that I was priviledged to have grown up and (really) lived during the '50s and '60s. And the best part was and continues to be that it was in the greatest country in the world where we are free to express our sentiments and opinions without fear of government intervention. God truly loves me as well as you.

Regarding Anonymous Numero uno (with apologies to Voltaire), I disagree with what he says but have defended with my life his right to say it. Isn't anyone going to pray for the poor bastard?

Made me smile, made me laugh, what else is there in life to do? If we don't live and laugh, we die!! When we have something like this cartoon to remind us of the fun times we had "way back when," we should be grateful we're able to view something that tickles our funnybone. I for one am grateful for every morning I open my eyes since I turned 50!! Bless you Walt for the smile you brought to my face today!

I loved it. It made me laugh and all we baby boomers need a good laugh. It is so funny because it is so true.....

As I approach 60, my sense of humor is often the attribute that gets me through the day. I am amazed at the people who feel the need to lash out at those who differ from themselves, whether it's the humor of a joke or the color of their skin.

This must be what they call the GOLDEN YEARS.

I love it!! And can relate as well.

It was a great laugh. Everyone remembers things differently that is what makes the world go round. If we were all the same how boring it would be. I got a kick out of it. Thanks for sharing......

i am canadian, and lol. Would love you to do an animation
on menopause. saving to favorites!!!!!!!!!!!

As a Baby Boomer I have to admit there is a lot of truth there. I had a good laugh! Thanks

I think it's really funny Walt. You did a great job.

This is the best animattion I have seen in a long time. All true but the getting high. Laughed our heads off.

I love it. We are way past being baby boomers but it gave me the laugh I need tonight.

Loved it ! made me laugh....sending it out to all my BB friends !

Funny as hell, the anonymous comment, he or she is an idiot

Yes, it was cute, myself, 62, still being asked for my ID because I do not look even 52, well at Senior luncheons, "free" stuff. It's true, I take care of myself, maybe just good genes, but the body knows what's what inside. Those who did not like the cartoon, are "hurt", I don't feel 62, don't look 62, nor act 62, our spirit never ages, so let your hair down friends, & "live", eat right, exercise, & do what you can to help out your looks, (it never hurts), & Oh yes, Pray a lot, this seems to go the furthest, & keep us on the right tract. Bless you all, enjoy every day, every hour, every second of your time on earth, & just maybe, you will get more.sld

I too thought it was kind of funny. And for those people who didnt, who are even too afraid to leave their names, we will not miss you when you are gone. You are the very reason we think this is funny. We will sit on a park bench in our golden years and look at the guy or girl across the street yelling at the kids skateboarding or playing music too loud and think, How sad is that? We had fun in our youth, and now, in theirs, they can't? Not really fair. laugh more. laugh at yourself. enjoy life its better with humor.

"GROWING OLD IS INEVITABLE, GROWING UP IS OPTIONAL." cant remember who said this.

I really enjoyed this cartoon. At my age this cartoon would be a blessing. I done “Boomed” at long time ago. LOL However, most of all I really enjoyed the comments that were written by the viewers. It was a real study in human nature. After reading dozens of viewer comments, I realized that most people respect other people's opinions. Yet a small minority just has to latch onto any situation to spew their angry venom. It was not Anonymous, (who did not attack anyone, but only offered an opinion about the cartoon), but the people who attack Anonymous, and others, who need to examine their own words, motives, and maybe….anger.

FYI: I am 39 on tuesday the 20th of Nov. Not the same as the 62 Sandra lee ahead of me. :o) very cool name!!!!

This is really cute! I understand why some get offended...it hits too close to home. It is ok to joke about stuff...we all know not everyone did drugs and all, however, not everyone went to war and dodged the draft either(Clinton). So let us all live and express our opinions and excuse those who are negative for they haven't made anything of themselves and if they have...they were forced to become what they didn't want to become (Their parents)! Happiness sucks for them! ")

Peace out! God bless!

Those great lyrics only too familiar and sooooo true. So glad my husband and I don't look like that. I am nearly 50 and he is 56 and we are still hot hot hot (without viagra!!)

Some people need to lighten up. I live in a senior development and this thing cracked me up. I'm not a senior yet, but sometimes my body feels like it. Life is what YOU make it.

humor is good for the soul, never smoked anything, always loved
Steppenwolf music.

VERY GOOD AND TO ANYONE THAT DID NOT ENJOY. FUCK UM THEY HAVE NO SENSE OF HUMOUR.

THANKS FOR YOUR EFFORT
IT IS GREAT

Really funny, but scary. I'm a 51 baby and find myself getting near that age with a bad back...ouch

this is funny?i felt great untill i read this,,ran the beach for 6 miles,,biked for 5 miles and am dressing to go out.i just dont think old.this is drepressing,,glad everyone liked it..if it makes one laugh then great,,enjoy,,

Loved it..!! And man can I identify...
What are we baby boomers to do NOW???

I still think like 30 but the body doesn't cooperate...lol

Keep up the good work and too bad for the negativity..they can shove it

I absolutely loved this!!!! Best thing I've seen in a long, long time. I'll be 60 in April and I am really looking forward to the best years of my life. My life is getting better with each year that passes. I can't wait to see what happens next. My health is good. I have a job I love. My husband is in good health and he has given up work and officially retired though he's only 62. Thank goodness I still have 6 more years to work!!!!!!

Walt, this was tremendous. I thank you sincerely for making us laugh our butts off. I'm from the East Coast and was absolutely Born To Be WILD. My husband was Born To Be MILD in the Midwest, and he still is.

And yes, I did forward it to all my cohorts. We all have about the same view of the world and this cartoon fits that view quite nicely. You have made my day, and I thank you.

Heck...I'm only 43 and I found it to be very humorous indeed! Great work...can't wait to check out your other animations :-)

lol............that was great. i am a home health nurse and that is exactly what i deal with everyday except these people aren't boomers.....more like parents of boomers. what a laugh.

I thought it was hysterical. I can hardly wait to see what the next few generation's legacies shall be.

In reference to the Menopause omment, I finally figured out that's what's causing all this Global Warming! It's all us female baby boomers heading into the change! (BTW, did anyone ever notice, all the bad things that happen to women sound like they were invented by a man. i.e. Men-opause, His-terectomy, Him-rroids.....) Just thought I'd open up a new can of worms. Add to the discussion!!! LOL!

That was hilarious......Loved it!!!!! thanks for the laughs

Funny how everything is an issue anymore. I mean everrrrrything...

Very funny animation. Thanks. I do feel sorry for those folks that seem to need to make humor some sort of nasty thing. They will never be happy...but they will have their iPods, piercings and Tats to keep them happy...LOL!!! Can't wait till they get old.

Anyone who goes by the name "Anonymous" usually has nothing of worth to say.

Very good satire on the state of our bodies today!

that was too funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel that in many ways you see right through alot of many people out there and cut to the chase, you deserve to have a patt on the back a round of applause and a "thank you" for being able to come up with such humor, you have a great deal of talent, thank you for shareing it with us all, for laughter is the best medicine. Oh by the way I too was born in the fifties, GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NUDS BARKLY

Dam, Im 65 and never been in a gym in my life after High School and I'm still in great shape. If this is what you Boomers are looking like now, I'm glad I'm not one of you!!!!! I guess all them Drugs you all did has come back to bite you in the ass???

HILARIOUS. "ANONYOMOUS" 11/7 OBVIOUSLY HAS NO SENSE OF HUMOR OR IS DEAD!!!

To all the "annonymouses" that didn't like it, PFFFFFFFFFFF

Kettis, one day you too will be old...it happens to everyone. Show some respect and know that you are not going to escape it...ageism is a sad thing...we all get old.

I'd remain anon too if I was as narrow minded and uptight as he/she is. Personally I love people with a sense of humour and quite frankly this is a great, humourous spoof on us child-like seniors.

I think the first Annonymous just wanted to get attention and it looks like mission accomplished.
I'm with the majority that truly enjoyed the humor for what it was meant to be.

Future?? I crossed the "future line" long agao!

I thought it was very funny, but slightly sad. I'm an old boomer, and altho I can fit into my little prom dress and exercise daily, I still lament what was. I've lived now in 7 decades..(Yikes) but the 60's were far and above the best and most fun decade ..And that meant I was a child in the 50's..the last totally carefree run wild time for kids with 21 cent movies where you could sit all day. But the 60's music is all I have on my iPod. When the Beatles split and the 70's came, the music died. Bye , Bye Miss American Pie.

You hit the nail right on the head........And I am proud of the fact I am one of them.......Peace!

ha ha thats my live so real, just kidding

We STILL rock, it's just with a little more style!

I loved the cartoon. I am 60 and my husband is 74. We still enjoy doing lots of things. I have had two back surgeries and one neck surgery and I still do whatever I want, just not for as long as I used to. We enjoy doing Old West skits and entertaining young people. I get to watch the grandkids play sports and I enjoy humor at my expense. Life is too short not to laugh as much as possible. Thanks for the great laugh.

Cute and so true!

Can't believe that I have spent all this time reading all your comments.
I am a Boomer and have less time in front of me than behind me, and I squandered some of it here!!!
That was a poor decision on my part.
Thought the video was funny and had a good laugh... there are funnier ones out there.
But think that I laughed as hard at some of the comments...the ridiculous, the self-absorbed, the self-rightious, the idiotic, the ignorant and the crude.
Come on, people!
Let's practice the tolerance we preached.
"Let's love one another right now"
So what if a few didn't find the satire funny. That's okay.
Yellow is not my favorite color, and strawberries are not my first choice. Does it make any difference to anyone?
Our fathers and grandfathers and their fathers fought, and some died, so that we COULD disagree, and express our opinions freely.
It is not likely that I will be back to know whether or not anyone takes offense at this, or if anyone has a suggestion as to what is wrong with me or lacking in my life, (using psychobabble and 'dribble', of course).

Lastly, it didn't say "Positive Comments Only"

Tastes differ when it comes to humor. I find it disturbing that those who loved the cartoon find it necessary to put down those who didn't like it. Why can't you just accept it as a difference of opinion?

Just because the majority of people posting here found the cartoon hilarious doesn't mean that the few who expressed a negative opinion are humorless and unable to laugh at themselves. I suspect that the most of the people who disliked the cartoon didn't bother to leave their opinion. That's what I would normally do if I didn't like something.

I personally didn't find the cartoon all that funny. I am a boomer, born in 1952, but I really don't see myself and my friends in that cartoon. And no, I don't lack a sense of humor and I am able to laugh at things, even at my own expense, when I find them truly funny. And, to the person who thought the naysayers must all be republicans - I am a life-long democrat.

I also found it amusing that packerdeli accused all the naysayers of posting as anonymous - is packerdeli your real name?

That's about all I have to say, for now.

Am sending this to everyone in my age bracket! It is good to be able to laugh at ourselves. Great job!!!

Born in 49 and I can relate. Yes we have a very few in our group that seem fit and healthy who probably would not get this but we try to avoid them. This fits the majority of the over 50 crowd in my circle of friends and family.

The only thing I would change is the line "bored, tubby and mild". I have never been bored in my life nor have any of my friends from that era. I think it is the fast paced movement and changes in technology and society that have propelled us forward with barely a minute to catch our breath. The true hippy generation still tries to fix the world and keep up with it. On that note, I am definitely "tired, tubby and mild" LOLOL. Steppenwolf is proud.

Loved it - - Thanks:)

If you are still an enterprising man, despite prejudiciously said to be feeling "bored, tubby and mild", why don't you plan a trip to Germany, make your choice at www.oohlala.de and feel better.
You will love it.

Re: Comment by Anonymous Nov 7, 2007

WOW! That Word-A-Day calendar really does come in handy.

Lighten up! It was a cute parody and a few minutes of distraction from the war, cruelty, and suffering in the world.

There are far too many people around who share the opinion of anonymous of any subject that they do not share. I call them pessimists and rarely agree with their view of the world.

I have two boomers, son and daughter, one of whom remains fit by following a regemin of working out in the gym and eating healthy and the second ignores the signs.
As for myself, I am a regular at the gym, walk daily, eat "right" and at 81 am in extremely good health.

Very funny. Thanks for the laugh!

It may not be for everyone, but I thought it was so true.

You couldn't have picked a more appropriate song . . . great work!

Oh Shit................ It's true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For us Baby boomers, songs like that can bring us back to a particular time and place."Thanks" for that wonderful thought.
As for the negative comments, Dr Phil would say "What's" your payoff? Art and talent comes in many forms, get a reality check and if you can't say something nice, don't waste our time being a bummer?

A great satire on what I see every week at the gym. Kind of sad in one way isn't it? Very funny but I suppose the media has helped produce this mania that we must compete with the younger generation. I, on the other hand am happy to "deep aerobics" and except my lot as caregiver of a 95 yr old mother and a 91 year old aunt who live with my husband and I. Teaching piano to students 7 through high school has enlightened me that I will never really young again, so sit back and enjoy the ride as grandma.

I loved this cartoon.........one thing about the baby boomers
they do have a sense of houmor

How did you get movies of me on the tread mill? AAAAHHHH All so true. Glad to have been a part of it!!!!
The "big O"

I thought it was right on. If you can't laugh at troubled youth then whats funny. I lived a lot of that. Loved it.
Eddie

I feel no need to pick it apart, I just thought it was funny.

I'm at the tender young age of 80--Look what you Young Whippers have to look forward to????

Very, very good.
Thanks, Brian

This is funny "stuff". I enjoyed it and also liked reading the responses which were mostly upbeat.
The negative ones just added to the spice of other
responses.

Wouldn't want to meet with Anonymous...sounds like a real fun party person...NOT!!!!.....let's see where his imagination gets him - oh yeah....he couldn't possibly have one OR a sense of humour!...Time to loosen up Bud!

The comments were funnier than the videos---which is saying a
LOT. ' De girl'----we HAVE or laugh---or we would cry---remember: LAUGH and the world laughs with you---cry and you cry alone. (or maybe you just didn't get the joke "annonymous")
And yes, I am 57. (and still booming)

I enjoyed the music memory and creativity; I'm sending this animation to my older brother who was old enough to enjoy this era. Thank you, and have a safe and happy Thanksgiving 2007! Kathryn

To the younger people ranting about the way things were made by the boomer generation...

We are as horrified as any young person about what the Republicans under the fascist regime have done to this country in the last 7 years. Loss of rights, money wasted on a phoney war that have been spent on our citizens needs, the proliferation of craziness; too many guns, the money being sent overseas to help other countries while our citizens rot in the streets and keep killing each other.

I hate to get into conspiracy theories, but it sure seem like the simple truth is that the people with the oil and the money will do anything they can to manipulate us, kill us off, seems alomost like trading bodies for dollars the best way to maintain our 'freedoms' and their power...manipulation through FEAR...

So to the younger generation I say...start voting and do something about it...the boomers may -- in some sense have ended up as victims of the powerful -- but at least we tried to avoid being victims and we did impact the vietnam mess, we created all the super toys that exist now....and where is the youth movement? Mostly concerned with ignoring what goes on, looking good, blaming others, and getting bling-bling-kaching.

I hear songs about 'I'm still waiting...because we cant do anything about it.."... I think the assertion "that boomers found a way to bury their head in the sand" has some truth to it...that their children, that rail against them, watch and learned and have simply perfected it; and now that they are frustrated with the mess we are in (not caused by boomers who are predominately democratic) they need to be able to blame others...such a time honored tradition in this country...blame someone else and duck...

Have a nice day...

Oh yeah...the cartoon is great...

Moral of all this blog-O-babble...."If you can't laugh at your self...and get above yourself...then below me".

And yeah it would be really more interesting if the folks who are bashing others would at least use the correct words so those of us being lambasted could have the sense that we were being lambasted by intelligent folks...because you can't argue with an ididiot...and that's so annoying...

peace
out
Yo

Really cute, turning 66 next month and I only wish I could do some of the things shown in the cartoon. Ahhhh but I do have memories!! thanks! ;^)

I loved this cartoon...........but even more the comments !
THANKS and ceep on making us laugh

Laughed so hard my "depends" fell off

thought that was so funny, loved it!! we all grow old, but we are still young at heart and enjoy a good laugh, live life to the full enjoy everyday !!

I love all the funny comments. I'm glad we all can still laugh. I'm now 58 years old and I really don't feel like it. Enjoy your life as long as you can. I'm also tubby and loving it.

At 56, I'm nearly at the end of the Baby Boomer era but am still looking forward to my retirement. Yes, the 60's was an era that no one else can even come close to; as your presentation showed. The person who wrote the anonymous comments must have worked for the government as they not only have no since of humor, they are probably the village idiot who never got turned on and was always tuned out. Their life must be dull, boning and lonely as one must enjoy a piece such as this because it really exemplifies we Baby Boomer's, both our past, present and futures. I'm proud to say that our generation has proven to be the most responsible group of Americans yet seen in it's brief History. We have accomplished more, created more, improved more but unfortunately wasted more than any age group yet to come along. Hopefully we still have enough time left by those of us yet to retire, so that finding the solution to our waste will allow up-coming generations to continue to flourish. Unfortunately they're too busy and too self-centered on themselves to be of any help; God help us! Anyway, thanks again for your time, the energy it took, the sharing of yourself and your talents in your comical presentation of my life. How did you know? :o)
Sincerely, Clyde G.

For all of you who had nothing good to say about this animation, you need to get some humor. It's obvious that you don't enjoy your life enough!

To the Anonymous critic who posted on Nov. 7, 2007: "Psychobabble??????" It's a joke. Get a life. And a sense of humor.

I AM 66 YEARS OLD .THAT WAS THE FUNNIEST AND TRUEST EMAIL I HAVE SEEN.

Hello Susan, 5:55 am, where have you been all my life, I enjoyed his video anamation & Parody. Our 60 year old group absolutely did grow up and lived in the BEST OF TIMES. I find it neccesay & with gratitude, to be able to now look back and GRIN at how Life is, & was. Smiling & Grinning in San Antonio.

Great work. Obviously the big worded "anonymous" commentor doesn't like your style, but he/she is evidently a leftist liberal with no sense of humor. Yee haw!

IT'S ME, IT'S ME HAVE YOU BEEN PEEKIN? GREAT STUFF

"a low level rag writer"

Yes...a low level rag writer...with a Pulitzer....

Lighten up!

Bill G.April 1936
I laughed so hard I feel out of my rocking chair.
Old fart of the North,
GO BUCK O+H+I+O.
Thanks again, BG

Ok, now that is funny! And too true.

It was interesting to see how your wry take on us boomers excited such angry responses from other generations...as if all of us were pot-smoking protestors.

Personally, I was college-prep, and went to SF to laugh at the hippies. And yet, I can't tell you how many people I worked with thought I was at Woodstock!

Thanks for the laugh (in no way did I find it offensive).

You should have a warning to people who might be having blatter problems that this video could cause one to pee themselves!!

Great job!
Signed, someone not to stuffy to enjoy it!

My sister and I were born and raised by both parents in a very non-spoiled, not-much-money-environment with a lot of parental presence. Never felt the need to rebel, never did drugs, never protested, was never a hippie. These two represent only the spoiled rich kids of that sorry era. Ugh. My classmates went to Vietnam to protect these academic bums who never knew what they were talking about. Looks like they still don't.

I think "Anonymous" up on the top needs to enjoy life a little more and maybe think about some zanax.

Just last night I was Working on what Part D plan to go with for 2008. A fellow activist from the California Alliance of Retired Americans forwarded the link. This was funny. The only item left out was when you hit the "Donut Hole." As a M.S.W. I worked with many of the Flower Children in SF flowing the '60's. We still fight new causes like ADA access and keeping bikes off the sidewalks so wheelchairs are not run down.

Great work

That was funny. I didn't do acid or smoke dope and I'm divorced and right-wing but it's still funny. I love the scooters with the "ape hangers".

You forgot to add carpal tunnel syndrome and fibromyalgia to the list of complaints. ;-) Excellent work - I'm sending it to my sister!

I will never be able to listen to my anthem " Born to be Wild"
without laughing.
It is so true, when did we grow older?
Our bodies maybe, But not the spirit.

To those with negative comments and have no sense of humor; that's the problem with our world today. All this pc crap is making everyone a bunch of whiners. Lighten up. Try to smile and laugh and don't take things personally. I don't consider myself old and I won't sign up with AARP. But, I'm not insulted by this; why bother? Life's too short.

Ok, it was pretty cute for a cartoon. No, I didn't laugh so hard I almost fell out of a chair. I was born in 53' and was the class of 71' in high school. Any how, still chasing girls about 10 years younger than I am. That part about Viragra made me smile. Talk about a long ride in the saddle!

At the ripe young age of 60, I'm not bored and I'm deffinitly not mild; however, the handles "are" beginning to take hold around the middle section. Good entertainment. By-the-way anonymous, psycobabble is good for the immagination.

Lighten up, Anonymous! A good laugh adds years to your life ---- and you appear to be in need of a good laugh!

Anonymous must be a very angry, sad, mean spirited individual who I thank god I don't have the pain of knowing. You sound like your a legend in your own mind. Who do you think you are anyway?

I'm 63 -- not officially a "boomer" but close enough (a "war baby") and I thought it was cute, funny, and a "keeper." I'll be passing it on!

Funny but it looks more like my mother and her husband than us. They're in their 80's. Anonymous needs to lighten up.

As a baby boomer you hit it on the head with this one. Yep you are the one. Thanks for the laugh and smile. I sent this to all my baby boomer friends.

Hi Walt,
Where have you been all my life? I love your humor...Only objection I have is that you have been lurking in the bushes, listening in to conversations, and publicizing private thoughts!
When did you move into my neighborhood?

Can't believe this, BUT I'm TOO OLD to appreciate this one.
I'm the generation before rock & roll, drugs, etc. I call us the upbeat patriotic generation. Most of who are first generation AMERICAN's.

I thought this was a great laugh for the day. The whole family got a good laugh out of it. Nice to see someone poking fun in a great entertaining way. Keep it up! Will bookmark your work.

Nice parody, made me smile 'cause I'm not one of 'em. I'm 59, a 'Nam Vet, never have even been in the same room (knowingly) with anyone just doin' weed. Been married to the same woman for almost 38 years, go to Church every Sunday. Mom and Dad raised me to be considerate of others and guess what ... I'm a Liberal. Goes to show that not all "Lefties" were into a do-it-yourself Disneyland. As a matter of fact most conservatives I know fit this animated parody to a "T".

Great cartoon...this was sent to me by my father-in-law who is a baby boomer...I am the next generation....all the same....Keep up the great work.

GREAT STUFF!! .........T/U......... FRIULI3

LOL!! Too funny! Too bad anonymous doesn't have a sense of humor... :)

Clever, cute and funny! Can someone get November 7 14:31 anonymous' mailing address and we can all chip in and buy them a sense of humor?

Tioi bad there are so many people like anonymus who haven't realized that life isn't to be taken too seriously, especially in middle age, where I am now!

a comment in response to Mary, Nov. 18th. My sister and I were raised by our divorced mother in a VERY low-income situation. And yes, we are both educationally sound, but it took years of our own initiative to do it. YOU need to lighten up. A majority of the BB's were not "spoiled" - we may be now, but we have earned it! and along with our hard, whole-world view and unselfish way of life, our kids and grandkids (and g.grandkids -oh my!) hopefully will be better off.
This video is funny - period.

I almost peed my pants from laughing so hard! Keep up the great humor - it's now that we need someting to laugh anout so our days won't br so humdrum.

That was terrific - great song to put the skit too! Keep it up

Grandmother Great Kelley,
You just keep getting up and reading this stuff and life is good.
It is good to hear you can think and respond
And I bet you are a grama that gives gems of experiences that can top this funny stuff.

Cute! The tune was "Born to be Wild!" - someone above said it was boring, well, guess you are a youngster and never heard of this song that was on the national music chart!. Clever using that tune and applying to to this cartoon. Most baby boomers will be starting in the year 2008 when they turn 62, Most of the people I know who are of this age, still downhill ski, ice skate and travel. They are more active than the retiring people say 30 years ago.

OUCH!!! That hits a little too close to home;^) BWAH HA HA!!!

Outstanding! Laughed my old age ass off!!!
