Thanks, Walt. I was born the year Rosa took the ride on a bus, this election makes my very heart weep with joy.

In the hearts of a true American this is no longer a dream but a reality.

Of course there were problems, issues and of course our getting off on the totally wrong foot failng to eradicate slavery from Day 1.

Today thyere is no race, creed or religion that cannot proudly say that it's members were not at some point in our history were willing to die that this nation's and the freedom it promised would not be fulfilled.

I never had to serve in the military but in my New York career I worked in an occupation where your had to put your life in other's hands and trust in them. Nothing makes a man or woman reach the conclusion that "WE" need to be ONE to have experienced that.

Walt's cartoon showing the sucession of Presidents is symbolic. But nothing is more symbolic of each Americans commitment to other Americans than to walk among the graves of heroes in a Natioanl Cemetery.

There is great fear in my heart this night that very soon this nation may once again have to answer the call to arms to prevent this world from descending into armed chaos. Be it diplomaticly or militarily I FEAR WAR is emminent if a certain country does not give up it's delusion of domination in the name of an idealogy.

We can only pray that the "Equality of All Men and Women is embraced by all the peoples of this planet. Be it a man in Africa, a woman in Asia or an Israeli or Palastinian in the Middle East etc. each has the ABSOLUTE RIGHT to a life of PEACE, the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS AND to worship God as God has been revealed to them or even believe that god does not exist at all.

Tonight I pray for the People of Iran and that their leaders do not lead them down the path of destruction May the PEOPLE of Iran find peace.

Barack Hussein Obama played the race card very well and beat the system. Barack Hussein Obama had 95% of the black U.S. Citizens vote, content of character, my left nut. To those who denounce what this election really means and what Mr. Handlesman was trying to convey in this excellent, excellent short - they are correct - it isn't about race.

IT IS about America living up to it's founding creed that ALL men are created equal. Race is just one component. This election showed that America is willing to live up to it's ideals.

I - for one - thing it's the best thing that's happened - certainly in the last 8 years - but really - in my lifetime.

What a contrast in some of the other before him and yet like some of the best of the others. GWB was created not borm to be president by Karl Rove, others such evolved to fill the duties of the office as did President Truman. I wish the nation and our new president the best, so that our best days are yet to come.
Last spring when I listened to his speach my reaction was from the script of "West Wing" that I had listened to the "Real Thing". I am one not easy to be impressed but after now nearly one hundred days in office, he is to me even more the "Real Person" for the nation and the times we now face.

To finish, I was exhibiting my work at an art show which opened on 9/11/2001 - I am a college professor of studio art but the next morning on 9/12/2001 still I re- enlisted in the Army.
