There is war, and then there is football.
A banner hanging today inside the Pentagon's busiest entrance reads: "Army Football: Making Navy Look Good Since 1890." Obviously put up by Navy fans.
Army and Navy play each other this weekend in Philadelphia. The two collegiate teams first met in 1890 at West Point. Navy won 24-0.
For the record, Navy has had 50 wins, Army 49 wins. There've been seven ties. Navy won seven of the last ten games, mostly by large margins.

Lets talk Armed Forces Bowl--Utah Utes on Dec.23 in Fort Worth. Yeah, the W.A.C. and M.W.C. are 'middlin' at best. But "Da Bear's" mined these Rocky Mtn. schools for Jim McMahon (BYU), and Brian Urlacher, (New Mexico), so feel obliged to give us some respect. And keep an eye on Boise St. The "smurfs" with the blue turf have a kick-ass team this year (really!).

Army-Navy this weekend? Woohoo!
Nothing beats watching 2 horrible teams pound the hell out of each other. I'm looking forward to it.
