Since the Trib is doing its best to hide the truth about the New Messiah, here's the first part of the latest story about how Obama did favors for indicted fixer Rezko and then lied about it:

"As a state senator, Barack Obama wrote letters to city and state officials supporting his political patron Tony Rezko's successful bid to get more than $14 million from taxpayers to build apartments for senior citizens.

The deal included $855,000 in development fees for Rezko and his partner, Allison S. Davis, Obama's former boss, according to records from the project, which was four blocks outside Obama's state Senate district.

Obama's letters, written nearly nine years ago, for the first time show the Democratic presidential hopeful did a political favor for Rezko -- a longtime friend, campaign fund-raiser and client of the law firm where Obama worked -- who was indicted last fall on federal charges that accuse him of demanding kickbacks from companies seeking state business under Gov. Blagojevich.

The letters appear to contradict a statement last December from Obama, who told the Chicago Tribune that, in all the years he's known Rezko, "I've never done any favors for him.''

Jethro, dear, being called "gay" is not a slur, but your buddies use it like a slur. When you call someone gay, who isn't or just to call someone gay, that is being used as a slur. Why else would it be used on someone who isn't or to just call that person "gay." Like when Ann Coulter called the Breck Girl, John Edwards a "faggot." Edwards is not a "faggot," but she used it as a slur apparently, actually more to make a point (not a good one, I might add).

This is a non-story on a very slow newsday. Unless I missed something, the actually song is boring and aside from the butt shot, it isn't that risque. I'm not sure how this affects his campaign in the least. Other than providing more attention to him.

While this is not the type of advertising we would do for this wonderful candidate, we don't think it will do him any harm. It is an honest expression of a different generation. It is not horrible, as others have said... and only reflects the popularity of Obama. If it is the price we have to pay to get the 20 somethings involved, it is a small price to. The good news is that the young people are engaged in the process and want to see change, too. So it's a bizarre and unconventional civics lesson.

It's stupid, but funny too...Either way, it shouldn't be taken seriously. Other than the mention of Obama, nothing makes this political.

Saying things out loud doesn't make them real, but clapping your hands together really fast may make Tinkerbell come back to life.

The fact that the LIBune has endorsed Bush does not change the fact that Mark Silva, Frank James, William Niekirk, Jill Zuckman, Christi Parsons, James Warren, Tim McNulty and all the rest that makes up the Tribune NEWS pages are liberals or far lefties, as well as the editors of the various sections.
