So it took a day or two longer than expected.
But in four fast months we have added 50,000 readers' comments to a Swamp that took the better part of two years to collect its first 100,000 comments.
And for all of that, the Swamp thanks you.
And, for all the readers who have come and gone without pausing to comment, for those who have occasionally dropped in with comments, for regular, and extra-regular commentators, and for all the rest, we bring you: No. 150,000, posted this evening, Sunday night, during the Grammys.
There is something somehow fitting about No. 150 K, arriving more than one year into a presidential campaign which is yielding a foregone conclusion among the Republican candidates and a virtual tie between the top two Democrats months from Election Day, with this comment, posted by "Tired of it All'' in the posting about the fight for the "Superdelegates:''
"And people wonder why the voter turn out is so low and that voter apathy is what it is. What a crock all of this is.......'' -- signed, Tired of it All.
There's much more to come.

Comments
...149,958 of them by a small group of obsessives yelling at each other. "wingnut!"
"lefty loon!"
what's the matter, couldn't you pick a more arbitrary number to celebrate?
i don't the NYT pausing to celebrate how many posts it gets. quality? yes. quantity? no.
news flash! obama snubs clinton! oh, wait...never mind.

Silva,
C'mon! You could have fudged the numbers and given the #150,000 comment to JohnE.
After all, he did post that he re-enlisted in the Marines Feb 15, 2006 and is now fighting side by side with his son and Dale Peter's son in Anbar Province, Iraq. Rural Camel Rt.#91101
You owed him that, since he still posts on the swamp 18 hours a day between AlQaeda spider web attacks in his mommy's basement.

Tired of it All, pick up a newspaper or read one online. Voter turnout is breaking all the records this year.

I only hope Comment No. 150,000 wasn't by THINK before you write. He clearly has egocentric issues.
Long live The Swamp!!!

Mark,
You should have given it to Paulo as kind of an award/merit badge for the mentally challenged.

Tom J - will you please post the secret code needed to decode your message posted at 1:01 am?
I'm sure once it's translated to English it will be very interesting, and/or funny.
Thanks.

Carlene...you need to relax a little. There should be some time for a little amusment for those that have been on this site for a year and half or more. There will be plenty of time to bash the poop out of each other. It gets to be a family. It's like John D, and Paulo being the brothers you wish you never had.

Carlene, Huckabee has nothing to offer the American people but more of the same. Corrupt politics from a weird former fat guy. The man is a con artist of the highest order.
You've been had!

I'm just glad it wasn't a Ron Paul supporter. The odds were pretty good, given past performance.
