Welcome to the new Swamp.
We have started with a new logo, as pictured above, which we hope will be as memorable as the thousands of postings -- and the nearly 190,000 readers' comments -- which have appeared on these e-pages since the inception of The Swamp in January 2006.
And we'll be introducing a broader offering of insight into the world of national politics and government in the months ahead. But for now, we are settling in to a new visual environment.
Thank you, to all, who have brought us here.
And, as with everything else that appears here in The Swamp, we hope you'll offer your comments.

I like the look. Functionally I liked when all the topics were listed more towards the top, on the right hand side of the page. They are way down at the bottom now. I do however love the logo!!! Very Kool!!! I post under a different name most of the time, but occasionally use SWAMP THING. I guess at times such as this. Just seemed appropriate today. Well my day pass is up so the SWAMP THING must go back to...

IMO, the layout is generally cleaner and much more professional looking. I do like that the links column and adverts are both on the right-hand side, so I can easily arrange my window so that those distractions are off-screen. (Seriously, it is very difficult to read one thing while some advert animation is screaming for attention.)
But again, I sincerely like the new layout.
The logo is another story. Color: fine. Concept: fine. Unique: yes. Font: yuck! All I see are snakes, dollar signs, and pitchforks. Maybe that was the intent, but I don't like it. Change that one thing and all will be good.

I hate the new look. What was wrong with the old one? Of course, I believe I said that about the new website look a few months ago and it's grown on me.

Seems somehow cramped? I kinda like the shocking green kolor, but I'm not sure yet about the font as someone else pointed out. The old layout was in someway much easier to read but was a bit bland. I'd say your on the right track, but I would continue to tweak it. I just wonder how many focus groups the Clintons would have had to convene to decide on such a bold step forward. I'm sure they would have had to attack the old look first!

The text is more readable -- good -- but the logo is like a very bad joke. It looks like something out of Dungeons and Dragons. Get rid of it!

I like the clean, open look. The green logo is strange -- the color doesn't seem related to the old Trib blue. The ALL CAPS headlines are very distracting -- I think it would read better if the headlines were caps and lowercase.
There seems to be a glitch with the "preview" button. When I try to preview my comment before finally posting it, it does not give me a box to type a letter in for verification.

The new look is nice. And I hope the comment that the Swamp will feature a broader offering of insight means more views than just one! That would really make the Swamp world class.
