Hillary Clinton has knocked back a Crown Royal and Barack Obama a beer for all see. And John McCain has that rockin' tour bus.
But the question is, which candidate would you rather have a beer with?
At least that's the question that Rock the Vote asked, in conjunction with a company called TouchTunes. It wasn't a poll exactly, but rather an open-ended survey - the Rock The Vote survey drew 72,784 submissions -- and perhaps the responses suggest that the candidates have a lot of work to do for the bar vote.
The survey asked: "Which issue is most important to you?... Which candidate would you most like to have a beer with?... Which party rocks?''
Forty percent replied: Jobs and the economy. Twenty-one percent the war. Fifteen percent healthcare. Twelve percent global warming. Eleven percent cost of education.
Barack Obama only narrowly edged out Hillary Clinton and John McCain on the beer question: 29 percent Obama, 22 percent Clinton, 20 percent McCain
A full 29 percent replied: None of the above. So take that.
Obama played strongest in the Midwest: 31 percent for that beer. Clinton in the Southwest: 24 percent. McCain in the Southeast: 23 percent.
Which party rocks?
Democrats:: 34 percent. Republicans: 18 percent.
Independents, others or don't know: 48 percent. So take that, too.

I don't want to have a beer with any of them. I want a decent President for a change. You know, someone who actually knows what he or she is doing.

Dear Fellow Americans,
Our Greatgrand Nation, the United States of America
is facing and will face very critical and substantial
"Challenges" in coming, months, years, and next
decade[s].
It is very critical and very important that we the people of the America get interested, involved, and engaged in choosing and voting for our next President.
The following criteria will guide and help us to a right candidate. The candidate we choose must have following characteristics.
1. A clear and candid " Vision
and Mission" for our Nations present and future.
2. A " Strong Character and significant
Integrity".
3. The sound and sustained "Presidential Temperament" and " Judgment".
4. A least "Washington exposure" and "real connectedness with the people and future
generation".
5. One who "Inspires us up" rather than
"Tears us Down or divides us".
6. One who is not based on sexism, racism, regionalism, ageism, or any other ism and as well as who attempts to " bring us together ".
7. A foreign policy of mainly "USA Centric".
In my professional, political and personal opinion,
the only candidate that meets all the above
characteristics and has shown constant and consistent
coolness, calmness, and connectedness { PRESIDENTIAL
TEMPERAMENT } is Senator Barrack Obama.
As an independent registered voter since 1980. I voted
for Carter, voted for Reagan, voted for First Bush,
and second Bush in 2000 and In the process last
interest in Washington politics and I stopped voting.
Getting disinterested and disgusted in our political
process and stopping voting. That was a very very bad
decision in any circumstance, particularly under
present circumstances.
This time we can not afford to stay on side lines and
let "Washington" stay the same.We can not afford our
Greatgreat Nation to become less than what we are,
what we were and what we can be?
We need to send clear, careful and candid message to
the world and some time 24 hour partisan divisive
media, that We the American people will set the agenda for our future and America and Americans will be back.
These partisan media outlets are trying and will try their best to deprive, decieve, dupe, and derail us. let us stay involved, engaged, and express our opinion freely and vote. Our Nation will get it right this time to protect, preserve, and promote our future.
Some of these partisan media and pundits are trying
their best to deny us better future and continue focus our weaknesses and generate bitter future for us and our Greatgrand Nation. Our nations people will see thru. Unfortunately { Our Greatgrand Nations people
are persistently and constantly subjected to this
Psychological Terrorism" without common people’s
knowledge.
The common and regular people do not have time to see
thru and sort thru this psychological terrorism
perpetuated by some of these partisan media outlets.
I find it tragic, unfortunate, and sad [ Probably they do not care about our Greatgrand Nation ]as they claim that they do it in the interest of our Greatgrand Nation.
We the Americans should not and would not to allow
Some these partisan media outlets psychologically
terrorized, traumatized and silence us this time nor
any other time in future.
I am sure that we will get it right this
time and elect Senator Obama our next President.
Let us remember that our Greatgrand is consists of
family, friends,fellowships, faith, funds,foundation,
fun, and future with fairness and freedom and without
fear, favor, or failure .
We can not afford to lose any of above. Let us stand
up, be counted, save, build our Greatgrand Nation for
centuries to come. I am sure our Greatgrand nation and its diverse people. will reclaim, regain and restore global economic, social, moral, and power status of USA.
God Bless our Great grand Nation and its diverse
people.
Our Greatgrand nation needs present and future
stability, security, safety,sustained progress and
restoration of our due status in this perilous Global
World at the all levels.
Yours sincerely,

Ummm, I think her substance abuse history might prevent that, Jeff.

I would have a beer with John McCain. Not that I drink anymore, and I may not vote for the man, but he must have the greatest stories to tell. Why would I want to hear Hillary Clinton talk about her days as Bill's wife. Why would I want to hear Obama talk about his jump shot when he's not too busy eating waffles and thinking there are 57 states.
Oh, almost forgot: Super Delegates are on watch to vote for Hillary Clinton because she is the only candidate with a chance to beat John McCain. Obama's "four more years of the Bush Administration" is already old. He uses it because he's got nothing to say about himself, besides "change." Change is what all of us will have in our pockets if Obama gets nominated and McCain wins.

I would like to have some beers with Hillary because after a 6 pack she might start looking good.

Okay, you guys should really understand something before you go after Cindy with your tasteless remarks about her addiction to painkillers. 1.) They have nothing to do with alcohol, and, yes, Cindy does enjoy beer and wine as much as she ever did before she became addicted to prescription painkillers. 2.) Cindy hasn't had a prescription painkiller in more than a decade. No one is ever "cured" from addiction but like the millions of americans who struggle with addiction everyday Cindy is winning her battle. 3.) I hope one of you has a relative or friend who has to go through the painful process of recovery from a painkiller addiction so that you can see just how tasteless your remarks really are. If you had even a CLUE about how horrible it is you wouldn't be using it for political advantage.

I’d have a beer with a member of the Secret Service, they have to have some great stories to tell (if you could loosen them up with a few).

i wouldn'd drink with any of them.but i would ike to do shots with cheech & chong
Posted by: greg | May 22, 2008 4:46 PM
If the McCains can't handle the heat they should get out of the kitchen. Cindy is fair game if Michelle is. No excuses, no whining, no hiding. Cindy thinks she's above criticism or disclosure. That's her elitist attitude. She's wrong.

Jeff,
I'll believe she's clean when she takes and passes a drug test administered by the Olympic governing body and allows the results to be publish. Who was it that said "Trust, but verify"
Posted by: jackson | May 22, 2008 5:10 PM
Oh, I'll trash Michelle Obama all-day, everyday. When I go after her it's because of the awful, anti-american things she's said and the taxpayer money she and her husband confiscated for her 300% raise as an earmark. These are things she's done to deserve criticism, not something from her personal life that she has long since paid back any debt to her family and her charity (the Obamas would first have to have a charity) for. You're right that she's "fair game" but the attacks on Michelle Obama have substance and yours are just petty and deeply offensive to the millions of americans in recovery.

I don't think Obama or Hillary will have any time for beer, not with the colossal mess either one would have to clean up. Stay-the- course McCain, however, would probably need something stronger than beer.

Jeff-
Usually I am ready to argue with you. But this time you are right.
It's reprehensible that some would make reference to Mrs. McCain's addiction problems for political advantage.
Posted by: Jolly Roger | May 22, 2008 6:14 PM
the issue is not her addiction but the fact that she was a thief as well. i'm sure if hillary had that background, jeff would show her the same respect. right jeff?

When is Princess Cindy going to be as forthcoming as Michele so that we can see how she has profited from her husbands career. What's she hiding Jeff? Payments from Lobbyists? EADS? Myanmar? Mihelle showed us who she is and what she's been doing, for better or worse, when is Princess Cindy? When is the fake Reformer John McxCain going to be fully honest about his and his wife's finances? When are they going to stop hiiding basic facts about them and their financial ties to his governmment service? When is the dishonesty going to stop?
