Good morning.

Here are a few Washington events of note for Friday, May 2.

President Bush, in Missouri, is speaking on the economy.

The Labor Department is releasing unemployment statistics for April.

The Care for the Wild International conservation group is releasing a report identifying the U.S. as one of the world's leading illegal ivory markets.

Is this just a notice of what press releases were received?
That's fine--it's like the AP Daybook.
How cool (but maybe impractical) if you could use this entry to forecast what investigative stories you're about to break.
I realize that would require a lot more journalists to be hired--but wouldn't that be cool?
Then we could expose what fakes the Obamas are.
