As Jake said to Elwood, or was it the other way around: It's time get the band back together.
The campaign of Sen. Barack Obama announced this morning and the presumptive Democratic nominee and his chief rival, Sen. Hillary Clinton, will make their first joint campaign appearance next week.
The newsome twosome will also hold their first joint fundraiser later this month.

About time something like this was scheduled. It was getting awkward being weeks after she dropped out an still no public appearances together. And the announcement certainly takes some of the attention away from the financing flip-flop...
Only question now is where will the event be?

I am writing on behalf of my community that is concerned about the Democratic nominee, Senator Obama.
We have come to the conclusion that Barack Hussein Obama is a ruthless Con and a split-personality politician that will do or say anything to win this election.
Please keep on top of his tactics. All nominees need to be transparent.
This is a short synopsis of how my community feels about Senator Obama.
This guy is a Chicago con politician: Obama has no morals and will stop at nothing when it comes to further his ambition. He’s a fast talker speaking out of both sides of his mouth.
He bragged about his church
Then threw them under the bus
Bragged about his pastor
Then threw him under the bus
Bragged about his grandmother then called her a typical white person
She then went under the bus
He wrote a book about his father but now that he’s a Muslim
He threw his dad under the bus. Definitely had to disown him.
His supporters are anti Semitic, racists and far left liberals.
Farrakhan, Rezko, Wright and Pflaeger are all under the bus too
When it comes to Obama’s associates he has figured out that all he has to do is either denounce or reject them and then it’s okay. Sometimes he just doesn’t discuss it at all.
He had a coworker that was a domestic terrorist, William Ayers and laughed about it when asked about his involvement.
Barack Hussein Obama is a fast talking con that knows Chicago politics. He will do anything and destroy anything or anybody with no morals to further his ambition.
When the heat is on, he avoids debates, changes his mind, defends his thinking with speeches and runs from the press.
Obama will not speak one word without a script. He is poor at best in debates and he knows that an open speech might divulge his true character.
Voted Present over 100 times while in the senate not to upset anyone
The icing on the cake was for Osama to change his mind on public financing.
Barack Obama has worked on the issue of political reform for years.
On Larry King in Jan. 2007, he told Mr. King that the public-financing system works.
He challenged the Republicans since Feb 2007 to limit their spending. He vowed to do so along with them if he were the Democratic nominee. In fact, a majority of his career was spent talking about how much he believed in public financing.
He speaks so calmly but he's got the "king or prince" title in mind. Obama’s ambition is to destroy anything in his way with no moral compass, just to further his ambition.
He’ll say whatever he has to so the public think he’s the nominee of “change”, a uniter, a man of the future. Nothing could be further from the truth. A naïve politician? I think not.

As for your Blues Brothers referrence: Actually it was Jake, after his "religious experience" that suggested getting the band back together as a way of "honestly" acquiring the necessary funds to save their childhood orphanage.
Just thought you wanted to know.

Like about 45% of voters, I cannot stomach Hillary Clinton. The old adage: those who lie down with dogs, wake up with fleas, applies here. I voted for Barack Obama, it was a win win vote. But in the words of Clint Eastwood, A Man has got to know his limitations. Hillary in; Barack out. It's that simple. Team Clinton spells the end for Obama's presidential aspirations: http://theseedsof9-11.com

I urge fellow Clinton supporters to NOT donate any money to Obama's campaign. Obama beat Hillary by out spending her 3 to 1. Don't help this unqualified candidate, who did not win the popular vote in the primaries, buy the Presidency. He high jacked the democratic nomination, don't let him high jack the Presidency of the United States.

Please. Your "community?" And "highjacked" the nominaition? This is all so tired. It was a tight race, and Obama won. Anyone with a mind to could put together a laundry list of negatives for either candidate, but Obama won. Yes, he did a phenomenal job of fund raising, and it helped him win. We are now in the general election. Be smart. Get focused on the real issues, vote accordingly, and encourage everyone else to do the same.
